A long time ago, before these days of Hope n' Change, immigrants were turned away at the border to keep out horribly infectious diseases. Of course, that was when there were real borders. And real "immigration."

Its kind of scary, isn't it.... so far the few in the US who have gotten it have recovered, so hopefully its one of those things where cleanliness and medical care will keep a pandemic down...although it does seem highly contagious.
Unfortunately, the latest news reports make it sound like it's going to spread far and wide, and it's already in the United States (New York, even, which is bad news). The US health service is advising people to wash their hands more, so maybe rather than days of Hope n' Change, we're entering the days of Hope n' Soap.
Now I'm REALLY moving to Montana. haha. The good thing is that none of the suspected swine flu cases in NY are sick enough to even be hospitalized.
