Circle Jerk

obama, obama jokes, trayvon martin, zimmerman, racist, conservative, tea party, hope n' change, hope and change, stilton jarlsberg, Chicago

In the wake of the George Zimmerman "not guilty" verdict, Barack Hussein Obama - the man who helped kickstart the racial antagonism of the case - has made an official statement about what all Americans should now do to honor Trayvon Martin. Specifically, the president says we should go outside on a dark night and smash our heads repeatedly on the sidewalk until we feel consciousness, if not life itself, slipping away.

Just kidding! What he actually said makes way less sense than that, though has much the same effect on the contents of your skull.

But before we get into actual analysis of the president's dunderheaded and potentially inflammatory political posturing, let's take a moment to reflect on the Trayvon Martin case. It is entirely possible that Trayvon was a scared kid who believed he had to attack Zimmerman in order to protect himself - which would certainly add to the tragedy of his death. But it is also true that, after being attacked, Zimmerman felt the need to defend himself - and, according to a jury, did so within the confines of the law.

So, what did the president have to say? That the death of Trayvon Martin was a "tragedy for America" (ergo, Zimmerman can't possibly have been in the right) and that "we should ask ourselves if we're doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities." Because asking ourselves meaningless questions about how wide our "compassion circles" are will really, really help bring down the number of bullet-riddled Black Americans turning up in Chicago's morgues.

The president also hinted rather unconvincingly that post-trial violence isn't a good idea, saying that "we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken" - which pretty clearly says "I don't agree with the jury, but hey - what the hell can you do?"

Sadly, the answer is - he can do a lot, because there are reports that the Department of Alleged Justice is now considering filing new charges against Zimmerman because the administration doesn't think enough damage has been done to the nation's race relations yet.

And can any of us actually take Barry seriously when he says this is "a nation of laws," considering he doesn't bother to honor or uphold those laws if they relate to Obamacare, immigration, gun trafficking, budgets or, like his late not-quite-son, recreational drug use?

Obama also said that "we should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, that's a job for all of us." And, we should point out, the first job actually created under this reprehensible boob in the past 5 years.

But why is he even telling us what we should ask ourselves? Are we, the American people, now universally guilty of some deep moral failing that Barry sees in us, but we've failed to address? Hope n' Change thinks not - and deeply resents the implication.

Better that we should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, why we tolerate a race-baiting president who offers meaningless rhetorical pap when what our nation really needs is healing and leadership.

Next time don't wait until you're getting your head smashed into unyielding cement to put a round center-mass into the sh*thead who is planning on doing the smashing. Or is that prejudiced?

This.

And by the way, haven't we built enough pentagons of platitudes?

@Anonymous: Are you telling everyone here that you see only racism in the George Zimmerman case? You can't entertain the possibility that a 17 year old person just might have rounded on someone out of shear bravado - particularly while talking to his girlfriend on the phone?

In the same vein: in your mind is any criticism of this president going to be racially based to your perspective?

Once again I must point out that it is the liberal mind that finds racism in everything - hence, it is the liberal mind that is racist. Racism is also the seeing of race-based grievances wherever one looks - like the supposed "code words" that liberals imagine conservatives use to denigrate others along racial lines. Purely sick imaginings of the liberal - your - mind.

Oh, and Stilton? it's the rhomboid of meaningless rhetoric. Just sayin'...

Geometry class was a looong time ago, but as I recall, a geometric figure must have at least 3 sides. Single sided and double sided figures are impossible... or are they? Barry has proven his single sidedness for years now. Why has he never ever mentioned the societal problems we have with black on white crime? Or Black on black crime? Hispanic on border agent crime? Or radical Islamic on everybody crime?

Or is he a two sided figure, eagerly ignoring his own AG's blatant racism against non-blacks, while simultaneously poking his nose into local matters that perpetuate perceived discrimination against blacks?

Barry,
If you're going to stick your snoot into local matters, why are you ignoring the horrible mess in your adpoted hometown? And, we don't need you stirring up racial strife. We have Sharpton and Jackson for that.

I hereby nominate Stilton for the Hypotenuse of Humor award!

I can only imagine his victory speech had zimmerman been convicted. Pictures of Nero spring to mind if only pictures of Nero have not been a pretty consistant thing for 5 years already.
kinda looses it's shock value after a while.

@Pete(Detroit)- At the very least, they seem to have a better work ethic.

@badlarry- That would work, although I think Barry would prefer solutions like redistribution of wealth, which would make theft - and therefore neighborhood watch programs - unnecessary. Unless, of course, someone wanted more than their "fair share."

@TrickyRicky- I'm sick of getting bad free verse poetry out of this jackass.

@Anonymous- Yes, and he's getting crumbs all over the horse you rode in on.

@Emmentaler Limburger- Of course Anonymous sees this as racism, even though the Florida police, the FBI, and even the case's prosecutors found no evidence of such. Because liberals can't accept the idea that black people are actually people first, and black second. I find the racism of Liberals every bit has despicable as that of the KKK during their "lynch mob and burning crosses" period - also known as the "Senator Byrd years."

And dang it, "Rhomboid of Rhetoric" would have been better.

@Colby- Great points. There ARE very important issues that the president should be addressing. In Chicago, the problem isn't gun laws, it's gangs. But the problem can't be fixed unless the problem is first defined, and the president is unwilling to do it - no matter how much blood is spilled.

And while I appreciate being nominated for the Hypotenuse of Humor, could we maybe substitute a geometric term which doesn't have "noose" in it?

@REM1875- Barry could have done three things following the verdict: Kept his mouth shut, give a speech to make things better, or give a speech to make things worse.

I don't think any of us is surprised that he went with the third option.

I've always marveled at the silence of the traditional "civil rights" community whenever the Federal government threatens to prosecute individuals after already being acquitted by local courts for a given crime. Our founding father's turn in their graves every time these transparent double jeopardy political prosecutions happen.

The Zimmerman prosecution was political from the get-go. The DA knew it was a loser, and only filed after the political pressure was put on.

So let's ask "Why do the liberals always push these cases, even when most of those who know better know that they will likely lose them in the end?"

Because they wish to broadcast a loud and clear message: The real intent of these phony trials is to let society know that when individuals do attempt to exercise their rights to protect themselves and their neighborhoods, that the Progressive state will be coming after them with all the resources they have available. They know that in court, they will more than likely lose. But that really doesn't matter.

Just how many ordinary Americans have the resources to defend themselves against the unlimited prosecutorial resources of the state? The process itself is the punishment.

So after over a year of turmoil and racking up a half-million or more in legal bills defending himself against a state case that never should have been filed in the first place, he now gets to look forward more years of his life lost to a slow, ponderous Federal case that will likely cost him another million or so that he'll never have. (And he's still got a civil case from Trayvon's family to face as well)

Legal experts are already on record stating that the success of any Federal "civil rights" case is a long shot. I disagree. Yes, they'll almost certainly lose in court. But that's not the point. The trial itself is the punishment. It doesn't really matter if the government wins or loses the trial. Zimmerman's punishment is having to continue living this nightmare for the next several years, and the consequences of it for the rest of his life.

George Zimmerman would probably have had an easier life had he just plead guilty and had been sent to prison. At least you get free food and health care there.

On the other hand, consider if on that fateful night Trayvon had murdered Zimmerman. He'd likely be getting out of prison soon, and moving on with his life.

Get the message yet? The next time you see someone walking through your neighborhood who looks like he might be a thug up to no good, it's best for you to let him be. Or if you find yourself pinned to the ground as some thug bashes your skull against the pavement, your last thought should be on the fate of your family; What would be easier for them? A decade of hell in the court system, being portrayed by the media as a racist vigilante, brainless pop stars tweeting your family's address with suggestions of revenge for their unhinged fans, and having your family's savings exhausted by endless court expenses, and then spending the rest of your life attempting to return to any sense of "normal", or having them deal with your demise as just another victim of violent crime?

This is all just another example of support for my theorem that the Progressive state exists to protect the rights of the thugs, and not those of the law-abiding citizen.

So very true. I personally had my home broken into by persons seen and vehicle make, model, and license plate reported. Cash, vehicle title, firearms, and other personal property was stolen. The county states attorney informed me that NOTHING was going to be done to the criminals, and furthermore IF I took any steps whatsoever to protect either myself or my property I would be arrested, charged with and prosecuted for assault or more serious charges. In Mr. Zimmermans case justice was served with the not guilty verdict, but the powers-that-be can never let that really happen as it would encourage other patriotic American citizens to potentially stand up for themselves, take responsibility for their own well being; and we all know that the government just couldn't tolerate not having the average citizen under their boot heel.

Its interesting how the rights rhetoric is revealing, not just how vile and racist you are (we knew that already), but how big a pussy you are to a man. Not only are you admitting that not one of you would have been able to fight off a kid without having to use a gun, but you're all so weak that you think just being punched would kill you.

REM1875 said...

But teddy this shows you have no knowlege of fighting because I suspect you have had someone do all your fighting for you.
Many here are older veterans-stop disrespecting them.

Earl Allison said...

Hi, Ted! You're still an idiot, but keep trying! Someday, you can make a real argument, and mommy will be so proud of you!

It's interesting how your rhetoric, and that of the Left, is so racist. Why do you all hate Hispanics so much? Why use the term "white Hispanic" for Zimmerman and not "White African American" for Obama?

There must be a good reason, because you all SURELY aren't monstrous hypocrites and liars, right?

And talk to an EMT sometime. Being punched CAN kill you, and so can having your head bashed into concrete -- you don't even need visible, bloody wounds to suffer a fatal hematoma.

But it's not like a shameless, race-baiting shill like you is interested in facts or the truth anyway, are you, Teddy?

No, you're here to stir things up, lie through your teeth, and project your own racism and lying on others -- because that's what Leftists DO. They can't make intelligent arguments, so they screech and fling figurative crap. It's really all you're capable of.

Poor, poor Teddy. Let's all show some sympathy to the racist.

John the Econ said...

Do elaborate, @Ted Brist; exactly, specifically, what has been said here that could be considered "vile" or "racist"?

Don't be a pussy; be a man and stand behind your vile accusations. Or are you being ironic by demonstrating how liberals such as yourself have rendered the term "racism" just a meaningless word that you throw about in public discourse as an empty insult? Do you honestly expect anyone here to be hurt or insulted by it?

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Readers- Excellent posts above, with the notable exception of Ted Brist who, I think we can agree, is a vile, racist pussy. And apparently omniscient as well, since he's detected racism in the Zimmerman/Martin case that the combined forces of the FBI, Florida's police system, and an impartial jury couldn't find.

Frankly, I would have nuked his obnoxious post - but others have already addressed it so I'm letting it linger, that others may read and learn.

By the way, I have to admit that it is only when exposed to people like Ted that I truly lose hope for the future of Black Americans. That "soft bigotry of low expectations" doesn't really look all that soft anymore.

Anonymous said...

Because let’s be clear here: According to current Florida law, you can get a gun, follow an unarmed minor, call the police, have them explicitly tell you to stop following them, then choose to ignore that, keep following the minor, get into a confrontation with them, and if at any point during that process you get scared, you can shoot the minor to death. And the state of Florida would say 'Well, you did what you could.'"

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Anonymous- As long as we're going to be clear, let's also be factual.

The police did NOT "explicitly tell (Zimmerman) to stop following" Trayvon, they said "you don't have to do that." It was information, not an order.

You then say that Zimmeran "kept following him" and "got into a confrontation." Which isn't what happened; after getting the recommendation from the police, Zimmerman tried to return to his car - when he was pounced on by Martin who had already made it all the way back to his father's apartment then doubled back - apparently for the specific purpose of starting a fight. And why? According to Trayvon's girlfriend, because he thought Zimmerman might be Gay - and therefore worthy of a beatdown.

So indeed, let's be clear here. If you're on neighborhood watch duty, you call the police saying you've seen somebody suspicious, and that person jumps you and starts beating the shit out of you while you're returning to your car - yes, you can shoot them. And you'd better if you value your life.

Although this is a free country, and you're entitled to your opinion. In fact, if a 6-foot black "youth" starts beating the living shit out of you, I hope you stick to your principles and let him finish the job of cracking your eggshell-thin skull on the concrete. Oh sure, you might die - but there are Liberal virgins waiting for you in Heaven. Granted, they all look like Rosanne Barr, Barbara Streisand, and Helen Thomas but I'm sure you're also non-sexist enough not to care.

Asshole.

Momentarily ignore that happy feeling you get "down there" when you see firearm deaths and keep reading a bit farther. You'll eventually see a row labeled "Personal weapons (hands, fists, feet, etc.)" Over to the right you will see data for 2007-2011, and - much to your surprise I'm sure - you will NOT see a single one of those columns with a total of zero recorded.

You may now consider yourselves to be slightly better informed than before.

@Stilton Jarlsburg: That I'm disappointing you by not conforming to your view of the Black Man as a self despising Uncle Ruckus is probably the highest honor I can think of.

And that you believe Zimmermans claim that he had gone back to his car - a claim thats logically impossible since that would mean Trayvon tackled Zimmerman onto his stomach and he wouldn't have been able to shoot, as well as contradicts everything that Zimmerman said for 6 months beforehand, really does say a lot about how goddamn fucking stupid you are. But then, I've got you to admit that you're the kind of idiot with no concept of rational logic, so I'm done here.

Awe, while I was writing that last, Little Teddy can't conceive of a fight being disorderly and not fitting with his concept of "logic", so he's taking his ball and running away. Clearly Little Teddy has been in MANY fights, and they've all been like pre-revolutionary warfare where each sides stand his or her ground and exchanges blows until the fight is over. Little Teddy can't conceive of a situation in which Trayvon and George may have grappled, moving from where the fight was initiated to where it completed.

Little Teddy has a LOT of growing up to do. Happy that he will be doing it elsewhere. Please stick to your tantrum, Little Teddy, and spread your "logic" elsewhere. Where I come from, we can readily separate the logic from the garden fertilizer.

Ted said...

@Emmentaler Limburger: Zimmermans own defence is that he is a gigantic wussy sissy boy who couldn't fight anyone. That was his entire defence for why the shooting was justified (If Zimmerman could fight, then the shooting was in no way justified as he would be escalating a fight needlessly). So by Zimmermans own admission, he couldn't fight back, and couldn't struggle like that. So he's either lying about that, or he's lying about not pursuing Martin.

Just like two peas in a pod neither of them are intelligent enough to either leave when they say they are or man enough to actually do anything other than impotently rant about their perceived mistreatments!
C.Mon teddy girl, you said you were leaving now try to man up and actually LEAVE!

Emmentaler Limburger said...

Teddy, Teddy, Teddy! You're a fool, and your comments here are a fool's argument. Self defense laws do not require that you first fight. Defending yourself is not "needlessly escalating a fight". Initiating the fight is. Under the law, you don't even need to be injured t defend yourself - only that you need to be in a situation in which you are in fear for your life. Laws. They're written down for a reason.

Also, even the biggest pacifist will raise his or her hands to defend themselves. It is reflexive, and takes great self control not to. And, Mr. Lawyer, you're misrepresenting Zimmerman's comments. But we expect that from you. Being "soft" and unable to punch well (testimony of Zimmerman's trainer) is not the same as being unable to fight. It just indicates that blows thrown by Zimmerman would most likely be ineffectual - much like your "arguments" here.

Again, we can readily sort logic from garden fertilizer as demonstrated here - but thanks for playing. Oh! And for the record, there is no canine in my lineage; nor am I female.

@Ted Brist- Hmm, I watched the trial and don't recall Zimmerman declaring himself to be a "gigantic wussy sissy boy," which leaves me with the conclusion that you're simply a self-serving self-loathing liar.

@George- I apologize to you and all of the other readers who look at Ted Brist's comments as if I was a cat owner who didn't change the litter box often enough. @Ted Brist- Done with me? Interesting. There are two ways you can do that - by admitting defeat, or killing yourself with auto-erotic asphyxiation while whacking away with dreams of fetuses. Frankly, either way is okay with me. But until one or the other occurs, you're still the odoriferous cheese in my little toenail. You can only dream of being someone's bitch. And surely do.

@American Cowboy and Emmentaler- Don't trouble yourself with Ted. He is the fermented smegma under the foreskin of a dead wombat. It is not our job to clean up his wretched post-mortem mess, but rather a job for nature to attend to with ants, maggots, and dung beetles.
