Nope, If you hit a winner, you have to press a button, and a slip of paper comes out, which you take to the cashier for your payment.Lee The Voicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14516156462581115258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8993108951931633758.post-92139345407919558892011-05-29T09:16:18.396-05:002011-05-29T09:16:18.396-05:00@John the Econ: so utterly, completely, plainly tr...@John the Econ: so utterly, completely, plainly true! And the GOP establishment seem determined to learn nothing from all that's happened. That's why the party will either undergo a hostile takeover by the Tea Party, or go the way of the Whigs.Doktor Paulienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8993108951931633758.post-41591311106854784512011-05-29T07:45:45.908-05:002011-05-29T07:45:45.908-05:00It was Reid that saved us? I thought it was people like me who kept buying our economy when the chicken-littles were selling.

At some point after the shock of 911, there was a paradigm shift in Washington that deficits just didn't matter anymore, and it brought on an age of Keynesianism on steroids. (Keynesianism had pretty much been abandoned by most credible economists by the post-Reagan age) The Bush Administration and the GOP Congress were happy to sign off on this because it suited their agendas as much as it did the Democrats. Whatever credible talk there was about "controlling deficits" was purely political hot air; the GOP only used the argument for controlling deficits for to use the Laffer Curve to defend low taxes and the Democrats only used deficits to promote their class warfare agenda.

Reid represents a state that is primarily known as an entertainment provider. And people can only indulge in Vegas-style "entertainment" if they have surplus in the rest of their life to do so. So if everyone is going broke, they're going to be going in front of us. The GOP has to be pretty mediocre to lose to this clown in that environment!John the Econnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8993108951931633758.post-45029473392647203482011-05-29T05:57:12.983-05:002011-05-29T05:57:12.983-05:00And Cowboy Poets! What does a budget matter when it is so more important to destroy this republic and its constitution!Davenoreply@blogger.com
