Today is the day designated to remember and honor the legions of men and women who have given their lives for our country. To them, we give our most profound thanks...and our promise to continue fighting for the freedoms for which they paid so dearly.

You do all the right stuff. Never forget.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bob. Also, allow me to vent a little bit...
ReplyDeleteToday (of ALL days!) the Doonesbury comic strip flatly stated "Dick Cheney is a war criminal!" Which means, by extension, that our enlisted men and women were committing war crimes.
I consider Gary Trudeau's attack unacceptable, especially on Memorial Day, and wrote to my newspaper to complain (and I hope other readers of Hope n' Change will do the same). I considered putting the cartoon on the front page of this site, but didn't want to sully the day with this kind of ugliness.
Wow the liberals can't even stop being nasty just for one day, to honor the dead.
ReplyDeleteWell I thank those who have died for this country, and those who have served, and those who are still serving. I hope and pray that we have a country to defend, and worth defending, for decades to come.
Amen to your comments, Suzy.
ReplyDeleteIt takes a special kind of hatred to do what Gary Trudeau did today. Still, Freedom of Speech suggests that he at least has the right to voice his opinion. And when I opine that he is a cowardly, America-hating jerk...I share that right.
