On the campaign trail, Obama said "Do these folks deserve Miranda rights? Do they deserve to be treated like the shoplifter down the block? Of course not."
Now, they are getting Miranda rights, and being told that they have "the right to remain silent" no matter what information they have...or how many lives might be saved if they spoke before getting counsel from a taxpayer funded legal team.
And yes, we're aware that dragging Carmen Miranda into this is sort of a cheap, stupid joke. But so is the President's policy on terrorist's rights.
Sad, isn't it.
