From the same folks who brought us "rat out your neighbors at Flag@Whitehouse.gov" comes new legislation that could let Obama take over private computers and Internet communication in event of a "cybersecurity emergency."

It is not currently clear if such an emergency would be defined only as attacks on our financial institutions, military, electrical grid, and other critical systems...or if the emergency powers would be invoked to help combat "thought-crime" and make sure that citizens receive only the news they're supposed to hear.

  2. LOL Buzz!!!!!

I can't believe how many ridiculous things we are hearing from the White House that the media continues to swallow and promote...Wow. They are still talking vaguely about a US version of "Hitler Youth" as well, and a "Gestapo" (for lack of current USA words to describe it!)

  4. While the proposal to control the internet predates the Iran "revolt," I think they paid attention to what happened over there. The protesters there were able to use Twitter and proxies to bypass the state controlled internet. Solution? Shut the whole thing down!
