Click Cartoon for Larger Size It's hard not to feel a chill run down your spine when watching the video of schoolchildren singing the "Mmm Mmm Mmm" anthem in praise of Barack Hussein Obama. "Black, yellow, red, and white - all are equal in his sight" - the kids do everything but finish the song with an extended "Amen."
And it's a particularly tasteful touch to have them conclude with a big "Seig Heil!" salute. Well done, American school system!
Bonus: Here's the video with lyrics, so you can sing along Karaoke-style...or else!
Too funny! Except...its scary as well...they'd be singing your verse, Stilt, if the teacher had thought of it first!
And for those of us (probably most of us actually) who know where the "Red and yellow, black and white" came from...its unnerving to know our President is now "God" to some people. Wow.
And Buzz...I agree...that's almost the worst part!
Thanks for all the great comments! Obviously we're in "raw nerve" territory here!
Per Buzz's link, it's interesting that the school has no problem with what they've done, but is instead upset by the people who've noticed. Why, all they did was put on a school program about Groundhog Day, Dental Hygiene, and giving praise and hosannahs to the godlike Barack Hussein Obama - so what's all the fuss about?
Philip & Buzz, actually (and thankfully) I don't find this second song as bad as the first one. It isn't really deifying BHO, and - of course - it has a cowbell.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/27/obama-proposes-longer-school-day-shorter-summer-vacation/ Oh look...Obama wants more time to indoctrinate our children!
Suzy, sadly "more time in school equals more indoctrination" was my first thought, too. Or at the very least, more control over kids (and removing control from parents).
In some ways, I'm sympathetic with the idea that America's kids need more education to compete with students from overseas. But the emphasis there is on more education, not necessarily more hours. Currently, home schoolers need only about half the time that kids in public schools do to cover the same material (or do better).
So the priority should be on improving the quality of our schools, not just increasing the quantity of bad teaching.
I definitely agree education is lacking in America, but the government never seems to quite figure out the problem and all their attempts simply make things worse.
My first suggestion would be to get rid of the welfare mentality in America, which would be painful and take an entire generation to work out...but would be VERY profitable for our grandchildren.
"mmm-mmm-mmm" that just creeps me out on a gut level.

Great one! I think EZKILL Emanuel would be a tad bit upset, but who cares?
ReplyDeleteHere's a letter posted by the school on their website. You might want to apply your boots before getting into this...
