Who's Telling This Story?!
Click Cartoon for Larger Size
The president told the joint session about a man who lost his health insurance over a petty problem...and died. The only problem is, as Joe Wilson would say, "You lie!" The man got his insurance back, received treatment without any delay, and died years later.
So Barack needed another sad story, and started to talk about his daughter's "touch and go" battle with life-threatening meningitis. But when Michelle tells the story, it's clear that their daughter never actually had meningitis, or any other "touch and go" healthcare crisis. Oopsy!

Never let truth get in the way when a lie will work much better. There is truth and there is "truthy-ness" much like statistics you can cook up what you need when you need it.
ReplyDeleteBuzz, this is the essence of "truthy-ness." For liberals, feelings are more tangible than facts, and so are "truthier" than the truth itself.
ReplyDeleteHalf the country doesn't really care what truth is anymore, as long as they don't miss this week's "American Idol".
ReplyDeleteWhich is why we have who we have in office...partially...not counting all the voter fraud.
Suzy, I wish you weren't right...but you are.
