150th Follower for Hope n' Change!

Click Cartoon for Larger Size
Hope n' Change Cartoons just reached our 150th follower, daily readership has reached all-time highs, and we couldn't be more delighted!

Hope n' Change was created to give conservatives something to laugh about each and every day...as well as links to important news stories and thought-provoking (if frequently tongue-in-cheek) commentary.

The growth of the strip owes everything to you, the readers. You're the ones who continue to spread the word to friends, copy cartoons into emails, post cartoons on your own blogs, and make this whole crazy enterprise worthwhile!

My sincerest thanks for making this a party...and here's hoping we can make it even bigger!
-Stilton Jarlsberg, MD

  2. I enjoy the comic and commentary each day. The comics do an especially good job of cutting through the smoke screen of Congress and Prezbo.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

  3. Thanks to you we actaully have a more realistic view of what our society has turned into, the people they elect as their leaders, the damage that's being done and an avenue by which we can speak without being censored. ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN would never allow the voice of the people to be heard. They only allow what they see fit to publish and only the information that supports their socialist ideologies, candidates, and their anti-christ currently in the whitehouse who can do no wrong, but again that's the definition of a democrat.

  4. Does the 150 count for people with RSS feeds? I read Hope 'n' Change using RSS.

  6. I can see the headline now: "Big Cheese Makes Good!"
    Congratulations!

  7. Thank you for your daily insight and willingness to shine a light on the crazy, down-the-rabbit-hole words and decisions of the current administration and others. Let's celebrate with a tea party!

  8. Congratulations!

Of course, I wouldn't follow this 'toon if it wasn't so well done. ;)

  9. Readers- Many thanks! In response to the question about RSS subscriptions, the whole concept of "Followers"is specific to the Blogger/Blogspot way of doing things, and requires you to click the little button that says "follow."

Alternately, RSS (Real Simple Syndication) allows people to be notified whenever there's a new post...and while such subscribers aren't counted in the "followers" total, they're still fully-ranked second-to-none Followers in our hearts.

In fact, there are probably more RSS subscribers than Blogspot Followers...and it's all good! While it's fun to celebrate various mileposts, the truth is that nobody is really required to be a follower or a subscriber...all they have to do is visit (and keep coming back)!

  10. Can't claim to read you first, but I have a "Daily Checks" list that I go through first, and it is in alphabetical order.

  12. While I may not be on your official follower list, your site is on my "top sites" page and I make it a point to read your posts every day! I'm sure there are MANY of us out here who do something similar...so your number of followers is really MUCH higher! Thanks for what you do. I always enjoy your cartoons and commentary!

  14. Readers- while you're here today, be sure to have a piece of cake! We were going to have pie, too...but the liberals gave it all away (grin)!

  15. Your cartoons are great! Can you update Twitter more often?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anonymous- D'OH!! Yes, I've got a Twitter account, but haven't exactly mastered it. I've been tweeting (uh, that's the term - right?) about once a week, but I'll try to be better about it!

  19. This cartoon needs to be submitted to Rolling Stone Magazine as a replacement for "Get Your War On". I would threaten to cancel my subscription to them if they don't do it, but unfortunately, I have a lifetime subscription & would be doing them a favor if I cancelled.

  20. Congrats!!!!!!

Is the apatheic poster a spammer? I always get suspicious of people who constantly put their links in their postings....

  21. Suzy- Oops! His post is gone! Seriously, it's fine for people to occasionally (very occasionally) include a link to their own blog. But they should also comment on the actual subject matter being discussed - not post for pure self-promotion.

Additionally, we're serious that comments need to be made in an "appropriate manner." We aren't going to spell out specific rules, but anyone who reads the strip, commentary, and reader comments very long should figure it out.

  22. I don't understand how it is only 150 followers. You are the best read of the day!

    Shang says, "Thank You".

  23. Since I only have you on my favorites since the day I discovered you about a month ago and click through each AM does that count? If so, am I the 150th? 160th? If so, where do I get my prize -- or don't they give those out anymore, you know, like a piece of bread or something? -- since we're all in the toaster anyway, just wondering.

  24. I don't think that I'm in your official 150, but you are on my home page and I read you every day, and many days I forward your stuff along.
