Bonus: Burnt Weiner

We're not really going to waste any more breath (or even an actual cartoon) on disgraced Democrat Anthony Weiner and his recently announced (but long overdue) resignation.

For what it's worth, he gave every appearance of being a wretched human being long before we knew about his predilection for tweeting pictures of his naked body to college girls and porn stars. And as is the case with nearly every other Democrat, we'd prefer to see them thrown out on ideological and Constitutional grounds rather than something as crass and tawdry as their endlessly disgusting sexual behavior.

But we'll take what we can get.

So farewell, disgraced EX-congressman Weiner, and by all means enjoy your time away at the Sex Addiction Rehab facility. With time and a lot of work, you may stop having "those" thoughts every time your Muslim wife bends over on her prayer rug.

  1. Question: do you hate the corrupt Democrats or all democrats? If you hate them all then did you dislike Republicans? Should everyone be forced to do everything for themselves? Should we build our own roads and let religion lead our lives? This happened before, it was called the dark ages. Blind hatred of a party because it calls itself Democrat or republican is just stupid. Until the American people realize that then we are a royally screwed country.

  2. @Runewake2- You ask very insightful questions, and don't seem in the least like an ignorant asshole. So I'll answer honestly that I don't hate all the Democrats, just the ones who have a vision of destroying America - which is, at the moment, the vast majority of them.

Republicans? Not much better - most are useless, and have spent years in Washington spending money that they didn't have and playing the same games as the Democrats.

But the "Dark Ages" didn't occur because people blindly hated one political party and voted for another (do you have even a scintilla of an understanding of history?). The Dark Ages occurred when people were oppressed by their rulers, who were unaccountable to the people. Sound familiar?

And give me a freakin' break with the idea that the government is limiting itself only to useful services like "building roads" (did you happen to hear Barack Hussein Obama recently declare that his "shovel ready jobs" didn't really exist, and so a trillion dollars went down a rat hole?)

I will agree that anyone who identifies themselves as a Democrat or Republican is stupid, because those are two sides of the same coin. Although the Democrat side of the coin is the one covered in excrement.

But our freedom... and our country's liberation... won't come from swearing allegiance to either or both of those parties, but rather by returning to the principles outlined in our nation's Constitution. And until people learn to reject all party labels and start actually thinking for themselves, this country will be screwed.

  3. I would like to throw them all, Dumbocrats and Repulsicans alike, out of office and start anew.

  4. Just imagine if his name had been Marshmallow !

BTW, bobo, I think your name indicates your intellectual power very well. Keep up the good work.

  5. Labels are a good thing. They help us identify products and people for what they are. The problem is when labels lose their meaning, like Democrat and Republican. They blend together to form some stinky, gelatinous mass that repulses more that it attracts. One of the reasons I identify myself as Conservative, although I admit that I vote Republican most of the time and Democrat never since Clenis was in office. That label still means something. And no, I don't want to get into "classic" liberal versus modern liberal because the argument goes nowhere.
As for Tony Weiner...he was a particularly nasty and spiteful Democrat (redundancy alert) and I'm personally glad that he's going away. As Weiners go, he was the worst kind, all filler and byproducts and probably far exceeded the USDA's limits on rodent hairs, roach droppings and bug parts.

  6. As I said, I'm kind of sorry to see him go since has been, since this all started, the perfect face of the left.

Next goes Holder for his total ineptitude. They will team up to run for the Whitehouse in 2016. I can't wait for the Weiner-Holder campaign posters!

  8. @Angry Hoosier Dad- You're right, it's meaningless labels that are offensive. I, too, consider myself a Conservative... but at the same time, that doesn't mean I'm monolithically in synch with everything that has a Conservative label slapped on it. Similarly, I consider myself a Tea Partier...in part because nobody has defined exactly what that is, other than a desire to return to fiscal sanity and constitutionalism, combined with patriotism and attitude...and even a sense of humor.

  9. @Angry Hoosier Dad - Other wit (much sharper than mine) came up with it! I thought it was funny too, so I repeated it here.

  10. Stilt, excellent response. I would like to add that certainly not all Dems are 'worthy' of "hate" - despite and mockery, most of them, certainly. But "hate"? I don't like to get that emotionally invested w/ trash. Then there's the bozo who was apparently seriously concerned about Guam being overloaded w/ sailors, and capsizing. I pity the fool. And his constituents...

Bobo - the 'throw 'em all out, and start over' attitude is part of what was behind the "shellacking" last fall. We get a shot at EVERY House member, and 1/3 of the senate every two years. It takes work, and focus, but it "should" be possible to produce meaningful changes. And there *are* some dedicated, hard working types out there, that really don't deserve to be tossed - even some from the 'D' side - not that I can think of any off hand...

On a happier note, there is supposed to be a release of the re-districting plan for MI today - I think we're losing two seats, at least one, and that from the Detroit area. With any luck, my current rep, John Conyers (votes on stuff he hasn't read, consorts w/ known felons - oh, wait, that's his WIFE) and my former rep, John Dingle (we have to pass this so we can control the people) will be going head to head in a Dem primary, and at least ONE of them will by necessity get bounced...

  11. @Pete(Detroit)- "Hate" isn't a word I like to use either, and I certainly wouldn't apply it to any broad group of politicians or other people. Although I'm perfectly happy to use the word in relation to policies, programs, and other idiocy. That stuff, I hate with a vengeance.

But in the long run, hate is never going to get anything good done. Rather, it's going to take qualities like love (of country, of freedom, of others), strength, sacrifice, and determination.

I prefer to accentuate the positive, even though the day-to-day of Hope n' Change Cartoons is unavoidably calling attention to the many negatives currently afflicting our country.

Party! It's not simply a "conservative" thing.
