What a Card
Just a reminder: you can always click on the cartoon for glorious "super-size!"
Although Thursdays should be a much-needed day of rest here at Hope n' Change, we just can't let the day pass without some observance of the alleged 50th birthday of the man who may or may not be Barack Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama, who was born on this date 50 years ago in Hawaii. Or Kenya. Or Indonesia. Assuming that he wasn't hatched in a lab somewhere.
Last night, he attended two huge parties in his own honor...selling himself to political donors for an agreed upon price (much the same way any good whore has a memorized rate card)...in hopes of raising one billion dollars with which to win another four years in the Whitehouse to finish off our country.
And was last night really a good night for a party? After the stock market went into free fall because the whole world recognizes that there is no fiscal leadership or seriousness in Washington? Or maybe he wanted to party because he just put our country another $7 trillion deeper in debt...making his goal of "the end of America" quite a bit closer.
We don't know, and frankly we don't care. All we know is that Barack Obama's alleged birthday is no cause for celebration and is, in fact, a black day in American history.
Or at least half-black.

ReplyDeleteUNION MEMBERS OUTRAGED After White House Hires Non-Union Crew For Obama’s Birthday Bash
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2011/08/unions-outraged-that-white-house-hired-non-union-workers-for-obamas-birthday-bash/
Oh yeah a great birthday present he gave himself, a multi-million dollar trip on Air Force One to Chicago, where fawning sycophants will fork out $38,500 a plate at this Birthday dinner. HOLD ON $38,500 a plate??? My god those people must be rich! Maybe this is why Barry is so insistent that the rich can afford to pay more, they are willing to shell out more then some people make in a YEAR just to eat cake with this Moron oh and an additional $10,000 for a picture with alleged President and so that proves that the wealthy in this country can't be trusted to dispose of their "extra" income responsibly.
ReplyDeleteAs for the 1 Billion dollars he hopes to collect for his campaign....wouldn't it be much better used to help Barry sleep better knowing he helped put people back to work by being used to fund some infrastructure construction projects since according to the White House $1 Billion dollars in infrastructure construction puts 47,000 Americans to work directly.
OMG! - Now I know what The Joker looked like before he fell into that vat of chemical waste. Which is ironic, given that the clown in the White House is also on a criminal spending spree...
ReplyDelete!SNAP!
ReplyDeleteSorry I couldn't join in the festivities. I was busy working out how to pay our mortgage, insurance, utilities and last remaining credit card bills and still have something left for luxuries like food and clothing. As for the latter, don't be too proud to shop at Goodwill. I haven't paid more than $6.00 for a pair of shoes in several years now. I doubt very much that Duh Won and the First Wookie will ever have to shop there. Happy Rama...er, Birthday, Mr. Present.
ReplyDeleteDid the POtuS eat a satan sandwich at his birthday party? Sam's picture makes him look demonic.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous (top)- Reading the accounts, it sounds like the Whitehouse considered these events to be too important to let them be effed up by unions.
ReplyDelete@Dave- You've got to love the irony of the president throwing a birthday bash that can only be attended by the people he describes as the evil leeches sucking the lifeblood out of our society. And speaking of the $1 billion he wants for his campaign, it seems to me that there's a direct (and inverse) ratio between how much a candidate for re-election needs... and how good a job he's done in office. Maybe the POtuS should set his sights on a trillion?
@Anonymous (three above)- Comparing Obama to The Joker is obviously racist, because...uh...well I guess because The Joker wears loud, brightly colored clothes. But let's not be too quick to throw out the theory that Obama emerged from a vat of chemical waste. It would explain a lot!
@sablegsd- !YEAH!
@Angry Hoosier Dad- As the Obamaconomy continues grinding everyone down, I think the phrase "too proud to shop at Goodwill" will disappear from the lexicon. In fact, no one will be "too proud to" do anything.
And maybe we should all buy some men's footwear at Goodwill and send it to Barry for his birthday. He's clearly never walked in a working man's shoes...and the experience might do him good.
@Earl- It certainly seems that satan sandwiches should have been on the menu (though they might have called it "devilled ham" - which would make a good Secret Service codeword for the prez). And I think young Sam captured a rather good likeness of Barry. Demonic, yes, but accurate.
Well what the heck. After you paid $38.5K for dinner, you could get a personal photo withe President for just an additional $10K. A steal at twice the price.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I've been taking crazy pills!
ReplyDeleteSo did I really see the President give another "screw the rich and their private jets" speech (which precipitated another +2% slide in the stock market) before climbing aboard the world's most expensive private jet to hop over to attend fundraisers that could only possibly be attended only by "rich" people?
Does any of this make sense?
Dabbling in color. Good move.
ReplyDeleteJohn the Econ,
ReplyDeletePerhaps we should START taking crazy pills! Maybe we would understand the inside-out, upside-down, convoluted and generally effed-up thought processes that spin around inside a liberal's head. Shit, I used to BE a liberal, and I don't understand the thinking of today's libs.
How about this? Let's, real quick like, take up a collection so Stilton can go to the party tonight. But, Stilton; there is one condition I would set in order for us to pay your way in. When you're standing there ready to have your $10,000 picture taken, at the last second when you see the photographer's finger about to press the shutter button, turn around quickly, whip down your pants and moon the prez. just as the photo is being taken. I promise we will take up another collection for your bail money.
Down 2% would be an improvement ... it's now down over 3% (-360)!
ReplyDeletePass the crazy pills, please!
@John the Econ- Sorry, but "crazy bills" aren't guaranteed with your nice new Obamacare policy. You can get birth control pills or abortion pills (or if you're old enough, euthanizing "kinetic sleeping pills") but not crazy pills.
ReplyDelete@DonSurber- Color is fun from time to time, though some cartoons don't need it and some are actually hurt by it. But since today was such a special occasion, I coughed up the money for crayons.
@Colby- I'd definitely pose for that picture, too! Since the president has ended NASA's dreams of one last moon shot, I'd be happy to give him mine!
@Chuck- I haven't been able to see the numbers yet, but I'm wondering if the market has lost as much (or more) value in the past week or so than the (ahem) bastards in Washington just gifted themselves with ($7 trillion in 10 years, wasn't it?)
And terrifyingly, Obama says that he's made GREAT PROGRESS with our economy...but "we're not even halfway there yet." Time for me to order "The Donner Party Cookbook"...
@Stilton - " Sorry, but "crazy bills" aren't guaranteed ... ".
ReplyDeleteActually, I think the "crazy bills" are guaranteed, and we get to pay them!
The industrial strength crazy pills being reserved, of course, for the very rich who shell out the $$$$ to support people who are so clearly out to destroy them...
ReplyDelete@Stilton - Now that you mention it, The Joker *does* dress like a N'awlins pimp. Yet, somehow, he still exudes more class than the Obamas.
ReplyDelete@Chuck- D'oh!!! I did say "crazy bills!" Talk about your Freudian slips!
ReplyDelete@Pete(Detroit)- Mary Poppins said "a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down," so imagine how many crazy pills you can swallow with a $38,500 slice of birthday cake!
@Anonymous (above)- Frankly, I can't think of anything that exudes less class than the Obamas. Which is impressive considering my encyclopedic knowledge of pustulent boils.
You just HAD to post that awful photo of her, didn't you...bleh...I just ate dinner!!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway...
I'm actually for a cap on fundraising, and I think it should be a relatively low amount...oh, like ONLY $10 million. I get tired of the elections being some sort of fundraising contest instead of who is the best man (or woman) for the job, and for our country. They ought to cap fundraising so that the playing field is level, and they can focus on their JOB, not lining their pockets and bribing voters.
@Suzy- Putting a cap on fundraising is dicey because it puts limits on freedom of speech. But that being said, I completely agree that the race shouldn't come down to the two candidates with the deepest pockets (or the ones who are the biggest whores). I'm not sure how to fix the problem, but the system is definitely broken.
ReplyDeleteStilt - I *do* think they should have to disclose who gave 'em how much... also nice to have FCC ban campaign ads as "Obscene / not in the public interest" (see also cigarette ads, '7 words', and nudity) just so we would not have to put up w/ all the horse crap on TV / radio, people actually have to read about / see candidate in person to find out what they're about. Or not bother, and just go pull the switch for group of choice anyway...
