Crass and Curious
In a shockingly candid report from the Department of Justice, we've now learned that the "Fast & Furious" operation wasn't about guns at all. It was about swords - and who would fall on them.
The report names 14 DOJ employees who get varying degrees of blame for giving firearms to drug-dealing murderous maniacs, but makes it very clear that Eric "New Black Panther" Holder had no idea what was going on despite, oddly, being briefed on the operation on more than one occasion.
Having successfully used the non compos mentis defense for Holder, the report places primary responsibility on Jason Weinstein, the deputy assistant attorney general for the Criminal Division, who disputes the findings but is resigning rather than die in a drone attack.
Also faulted was former ATF acting director Kenneth Melson, who retired after the report came out. Because when you make decisions which end up killing hundreds of people including American border agent Brian Terry, the only appropriate punishment is to go fishing and enjoy a cushy retirement package.
But can the many deaths associated with "Fast & Furious" really be attributed to governmental bungling and lack of supervision from Eric Holder and Barack Obama? Of course not!
The fault clearly lies with the dangerously inconsiderate filmmakers behind the "Harold and Kumar" movies, which inflamed sensitive Mexican drug dealers...by making fun of their profit.
BONUS CARTOON
This ran on Facebook after Obama's appearance on "Letterman." Liberals hated it. Hated it.

But it's truth, ergo, liberals hate truth.
ReplyDeleteOnly a Democrat, especially in the Obama administration, would use the excuse of total ignorance (which should by default render him unable to DO his job) and actually get away with it.
ReplyDeleteIf his knowledge of his organization is this poor (and it isn't, his and Obama's fingerprints are all over F&F), he should be fired IMMEDIATELY.
Why do I only hear crickets? Ah, right, DEMOCRATS.
Thanks for the bonus cartoon, too!
Take care!
I don't have the time to indulge in Facebook, but I can only imagine the wrath which your bonus cartoon inspired. Remember that the flak is heaviest directly over the target...or something like that. Gaia be praised. Hee Hee
ReplyDeleteI heartily recommend reading the comments on that FB post - it was like a room full of 3rd graders trying to take down Bruce Lee - "boot to the head, boot to the head" - It was truly a joy to see Stilt lay the pain on their wonky-ness...
ReplyDeleteAs for F&F, someone needs to make an ad pointing out that Mr President is directly responsible for the deaths of 100's of Mexicans, including police / government, by virtue of giving guns to the drug lords. Yeah, HE "cares" about them. Uh-HUH!
I'm shocked, SHOCKED I tell you! I'm shocked that they didn't find some way to blame Bush, that is. No big surprises here. The only way we are going to get rid of that slimeball Holder is to elect Romney.
ReplyDelete@Stilton,
I'm not a Facebooker, but I can only imagine the liberal heads that exploded when you posted that bottom cartoon. Since Mrs. Colby is an active Facebooker, I'm going to see if she'll post it as well (and I'm sure she will). BTW - when I saw that picture of BO holding his hands like that, I thought the cartoon was going to be him bragging about his manhood to Letterman.
@ Colby:
ReplyDeleteI assumed Obama was just telling another of his fish stories. I'm counting on November 6th generating his last fish story about "the one that got away". Likewise, I don't do Facebook, but the thought of Stilton causing that much pain among liberals is sweetener in my morning coffee.
I used to be a Facebook person, but their constant UI changes and their IPO both have me baffled, so I stay away now. I have sooooo many better ways to waste my time. I would love to see the libtard comments, however, on my foray into it now, though I was able to find Stilton and "friend" him, I couldn't figure out how to make his cartoons apparent. (Again: the latest UI just leaves me at sea, and I haven't the time to fathom its depths...)
ReplyDeleteThey aren't kidding me with this "report". Holder and Ă˜bama are up to their eyeballs in Fast & Furious - as, I believe, are Clinton and Calderon. I am soooooo looking forward to 6 November. And I hope that the new AG re-opens the "New Black Panther incident, assuming there are no new ones in 2012, from 2008, truly investigates Fast & Furious, and finds some means to deport Soros. Ah, to dream...
@Velcro- Liberals do hate truth. The list in the Letterman cartoon was only a quick top-of-mind rundown of groups I know the sonofagun has attacked and tried to marginalize.
ReplyDelete@Earl Allison- I'm still on my first cup of coffee this morning (meaning it really is coffee) so haven't done a review of the day's news yet, but I saw a reference to Univision asking Obama why Holder shouldn't be fired over this. I'm pretty sure Barry didn't see that question coming from a theoretically "friendly" outlet. But incompetence should be no defense for Holder. He should be fired immediately.
@TrickyRicky- Just between us folks here in the private electronic backwater of an actual blog, I really don't like the Facebook experience. It's a necessary evil if I want to get the cartoons out to as many people as possible, but when people "share" my cartoons on Facebook, they end up in the hands of offended liberals who then write on my page and call me a hater, a racist, or an idiot. Which I should just laugh off, but I actually try to engage with a few of these people to try to show them the error of their ways (or, if they're really annoying, slap them down like the insects they are). But it's exhausting and something of a fool's errand to try reasoning with hardcore liberals.
@Pete(Detroit)- Hey, I like that Bruce Lee analogy! I'm genuinely a nice, non-confrontational guy. But you do not want to get up in my grill, as the homeboys say, and try to win a battle of verbal smackdowns.
Regarding F&F, this report stinks to high heaven. We need external investigators tearing into this and real accountability. There's blood in the streets - a LOT of it - and resignations, retirements, and claims of ignorance aren't satisfactory.
@Colby- Holder knows that Romney's election is the only thing which will drag him from office, which is why Holder has been out trying to gut voter ID laws and revving up black audiences about nonexistent Jim Crow laws.
Regarding Facebook, ANYONE can visit my page - you don't have to be a Facebook member to read (just to post, like, or share). If you go to Facebook.com/HopeNChangeCartoons you can take a look at some of the back and forth commentary.
@Angry Hoosier Dad- The time-consuming problem on Facebook is that I can't just call liberals stupid - I make a point of proving it. And unsurprisingly, once a liberal has danced with me online, they never come back to try it again.
@Emmentaler- I post all of the HnC cartoons and most of the bonus stuff right here. This is home base.
The F&F report has only one purpose, and that's to throw a few sacrifices on swords prior to the election, to take the scandal off the table. But I hope Romney will use the report itself to beat Obama over the head with. Holder has been a disaster as attorney general, and anyone who pretends otherwise - including and especially Obama - is either an idiot or an enemy of the state.
I forget where I read this, but someone said, "If the truth hurts, it probably should."
ReplyDeleteYou just have to frame the deaths of hundreds of Mexicans in the proper context.
ReplyDeleteThose are hundreds of potential Democrat voters lost!
@ Earl - "Only a Democrat, especially in the Obama administration, would use the excuse of total ignorance (which should by default render him unable to DO his job) and actually get away with it."
ReplyDeleteTruth. Try telling you boss in the real world that you didn't know anything about a colossal failure in your department. You'd be out the door in a hurry.
@Colby - " I'm shocked that they didn't find some way to blame Bush"
They're trying like hell to do so.

Asked about the Fast and Furious program at the Univision forum on Thursday, President Obama falsely claimed that the program began under President George W. Bush.
“I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration,” the president said.
@Stilton,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the FB tip. I was unaware you could just make a visit without signing up. Us old farts may learn slowly, but we do still learn.
@CenTexTim,
So President Eddie Haskell DID try and blame Bush! Crikey! If (God help us) he cheats himself into a second term, will he still be blaming Bush in 2016? I guess it won't matter at that point. We'll all be living in huts outside the castle walls by then, having oxen thresh our wheat and blacksmiths pounding our now useless cars into shovels and pick-axes.
Now, it's about time to start in on my AFTERNOON coffee.
@Noelegy- I love that "truth hurts" quote!
ReplyDelete@CenTexTim- I think it's a given under this administration that everything is and always will be Bush's fault - the trick is just figuring out how to structure the argument. And it's not really hard when "truth" isn't even in their toolbox.
@Colby- Seriously, I think it's better to lurk on Facebook than actually join it (sadly, I don't have that option). It's so baffling, time-consuming, and constantly changing that I'm frankly amazed that it's not run by the government.
And I was sticking with morning coffee until I saw the words "second term" in your comments. Maybe it's time to switch my coffee from Columbian to Irish...
@Colby ... you'll be comforted to know that Bush didn't get off that easy. Obama blamed Fast and Furious on Bush in his comments at UNIVISION. Followed by his statement that Holder "shut it down".
ReplyDelete@Noelegy ... the fact that those Hispanic voters are dead, will only increase the Democrat voter base. The fact they are dead makes them a much more reliable voting bloc.
********
ReplyDelete“I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration,” the president said.
********
Ever get in a fight as a kid? Ever try to use the excuse "But HE started it!" Didn't work then; shouldn't work now.
It doesn't matter when the program began. When did the DEATHS happen? Under whose watch?
Stilton: The meds must not be working, as evidenced by the truth leaking out of your very pores. I would recommend a cold, damp rag, but only the likes of the NY times comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteBut then, I'm currently on my twenty-third cup of coffee (meaning it isn't really coffee, to be sure).
Colby: If that stain in the oval office remains beyond 2012, he could still blame the 'previous adminstration', but this time be entirely correct.
Cen Tex Tim/Elcedar: It would appear that in all honesty, liberals can really only blame bush for their own children. After all, it's always for the children.
I spread the Obama-Letterman comic after you posted it on FB and you are absolutely right: liberals DID hate it.
ReplyDeleteThe best part, though, was how they all said pretty much the same things, e.g. "That's not in the least bit funny" or "It was clever right up until the last panel" or "The Right just does not understand what humour is". Of course, these are the same people who thought that pictures comparing George W. Bush to a monkey were the height of wit. (But when I sent them this http://www.p2pnet.net/images/mimo.jpg they screamed "Racism!" at me.)
Coon, I was shocked (SHOCKED!) that the 'racist' card was played SO effectively against this poster -
ReplyDeletehttp://talkingpointsmemo.com/images/obama-witchdoctor-muck.jpg
As I recall from comments at the time, people were especially outraged by the 'bone through the nose'... Really? isn't the bone through the nose PART of the witch Dr outfit? like the pointed hat of a witch, or a bolt in the neck for a Frankenstein's Monster? And judging by the skin color of the REST of the model, he's Islander / central / South American, all traditional jungley places to FIND a witch Dr in the first place, yes? So, can someone please explain to mo how this is racist, at ALL??!?!?!
Oh, wait, I forgot, it's libbies and ALL criticism of da Preezy is, by definition, "racist".
GRRRRRR!!!!
Can I just criticize his white 1/2? (asking that question is probably racist...)
@Pete (Detoilet) - From what I gather, Obama has NO "White half". I mean, the media constantly glosses over anything to do with his mother/American grandparents, so I assume that if one parent is non-White, the child is therefore considered by liberals to be WHOLLY a minority.
ReplyDeleteCoon, see also 'Tiger Woods' - gets credit / blame for being black (25%) when he's genetically Chinese (50%) and was raised (and speaks / acts) "white."
ReplyDeleteQuestion - if the 'witch Dr' poster had used African witch Dr, would it still have been "racist?"
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/aa/Lassa_witch_doctors.jpg/250px-Lassa_witch_doctors.jpg
As the BBC so very thoughtfully points out, this was based on a program stated By BUSH BUSH BUSH BUSH.
ReplyDelete@elcedar- I'm still not sure how Bush created a program when he was out of office, or how Holder shut it down without knowing about it. I guess I'm just a little slow.
ReplyDelete@Noelegy- Doesn't "field initiated program" mean "created and run without any supervision?" And when a system like that leads to hundreds of deaths, should we ask WHY there was no supervision?
@Mike Porter- I'll admit that I could use some time off to regain my equilibrium. Although currently, I'm just accepting the reality of uninterrupted anger and urgency through election day.
@Coon Tasty- It's no shock that Libs don't like that cartoon, but interestingly they don't even understand it because they're almost entirely unaware of the laundry list of things that we're pissed off about. Granted, we've got all the documentation in the world, but the Libs have never even heard of these stories.
Case in point: when Jug-ears McFustercluck invoked executive privilege to cover up the "Fast & Furious" scandal, mainstream news outlets had a hard time reporting on it because they'd never mentioned Fast & Furious to their readers and viewers.
And on a side note, I think "humour" looks far more sophisticated than "humor." And yeah, lefties, I sure do understand it.
@Pete(Detroit)- While the image of "Witch Doctor" Obama pushes the limits (and isn't where I'd go), it's not an invalid bit of symbology. After all, Obama is adding tens of millions of people to medical programs, taking hundres of billions of dollars out of those medical programs, and driving doctors and hospitals out of business. In other words, the very essence of Obamacare is that some kind of freaking magic is supposed to happen which will cause doctors to work for free, and hospitals to give services for free. It makes no more sense than dancing around a fire or shaking rattles to ward off evil spirits.
@Coon Tasty- Judging on the Elizabeth Warren scale, a person is a Native American if she is 100% White and 1/28th delusional. So I think that pretty safely makes Barry 100% African-American. Despite his college girlfriend observing "he didn't have a black bone in his body." (I was going to say "until he met Reggie Love," but that would be wrong).
@Pete(Detroit)- And is "Voodoo economics" racist?
@Ciccio- The BBC is good for two things: historical dramas and, occasionally, other historical dramas.
I find it funny when some AH crows that the liberal, lying mainstream media has thoughtfully pointed out some "fact"...
ReplyDelete@Emmentaler- Being able to link to something that some idiot said on the Internet does not make something a fact. But it's surprising and depressing how many people (on both sides of the aisle) don't know this. I had some little libby moron recently link to a story on the Forbes.com blog that Obama was the lowest spending president since Eisenhower, and she presented it like she had just laid down a royal flush. So I tried to correct her, but I'm sure she left full of smug self-satisfaction, convinced that I can't deal with (ahem) "facts."
ReplyDeleteThis being the case, and despite my immense love of the First Amendment, I think it may be time for us to consider making it a crime to promulgate utter bullshit.
Sigh. If only. The MSM forgets to point out subtle differences between "gun walker" and "fast and furious". For instance, not guns from the former were ever "lost" as every single gun from the later was. No deaths resulted from the former (mostly due to none of the "gun walker" guns being "lost"), hundreds of deaths resulted from the latter as those "lost" guns were used freely by the criminals who bought them. "Gun walker" was executed by a very capable DOJ in conjunction with Mexican authorities. "Fast and furious" was executed by Holder's DOJ (nothing more need be said there...), and no-one on the Mexican side of the border admits to having been aware of the effort. So, what's all this crap being spewed about BUSH BUSH BUSH BUSH? Nothing but the typical MSM BS...
