Proving that there is always a "right man for the right job at the right time,"  Joe Biden - who is currently heading up the White House Task Force on Gun Violence - is going to cartoonland to begin disarmament talks with videogame characters.

Revealing a shocking loophole in current gun laws, VP Biden has pointed out that videogame characters are currently able to obtain assault-style weapons with no background checks or psychological evaluations, in much the same way that Democrats select political candidates.

If negotiations with the videogame industry are successful, Joe Biden also hopes to create world peace by banning the boardgame "Risk," straighten out America's economic disparity by rewriting the rules of "Monopoly" so that everyone ends up with the same amount of money, and end our nation's ugly history of racism by declaring that in checkers and chess, Black needs to win for at least the next 200 years.

In all seriousness, Hope n' Change would actually like to see some voluntary restraint from the videogame industry and, especially, Hollywood when it comes to glamorizing violence and depersonalizing victims. Not because these things necessarily contribute to real-life massacres, but because they contribute to widespread moral decay.

Of course, some people might accuse the Obama Administration of extreme hypocrisy in their sudden push for gun control, considering that their "Fast & Furious" program gave free weapons to anyone who could prove that they were killers working for Mexican drug cartels...resulting in hundreds of real-life deaths.

But those people are forgetting the Whitehouse's strongly voiced public outrage in 2011 when a videogame maker released "Tea Party Zombies Must Die," which allowed Left-leaning players to invade the Fox News headquarters and use shotguns and automatic weapons to bloodily kill Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Brit Hume, Rick Santorum, Mike Huckabee, Michelle Bachmann, and a variety of Tea Party types like "old white men" and "rednecks." Do you remember all the government outrage that game caused?!

Yeah, neither do we.

  1. How that crazy old uncle in the attic can be taken seriously by anyone is beyond me. Oh wait, this is a bizarro world where these same people talk about Paul Krugman for Treasury Secretary and who think that minting a $1 Trillion coin will solve our debt problem. Maybe they are grooming Robert Mubabe for a run in 2016.

  2. SJ - I don't remember that game to slaughter Tea Party members at a FOX station. I'm thinkin' it was ok because all of the people being slaughtered are right-leaning. Tis really is Bizarro World, TrickyRicky. All humans are equal except Libs.... As usual, SJ, you nailed the hypocrisy, the drama, & the reality behind all of it.

  3. Sigh... Joe is the gift that keeps on giving; sort of like VD. Now, we all know that BO just gave crazy uncle Joe some busy work, but it's still disturbing that a substantial chunk of the US population thinks Joe's exercise will bring improvement to our society. Another substantial chunk of the population doesn't even know who the heck Joe Biden is; also scary. These are the same wine sipping elitists who think guns kill people and the ability to buy 32 oz drinks makes you fat.

I really, really miss the days when MOST people were adults and they took responsibility for their own actions. Yes, the video games of today are way out of hand, so where are the parents? My parents would have NEVER let me play these games, and they were FDR Democrats! Liberals have successfully removed God from our society, all in the name of freedom, and now we pay the price.

    @Stilton,
I LOVE your idea of a new Monopoly game! You should market it and make a crapload of money. One of the "Chance" cards could be, "Give half your money to the person that blew all theirs on crap they couldn't afford."

    ReplyDelete
  4. @TrickyRicky- "Bizarro World" is about right. I was slackjawed to hear that Paul Krugman was actually considered for Treasury Secretary. And the "should we or shouldn't we" debate over minting a miraculous $1 trillion coin may well be the subject of an upcoming cartoon. It's all insanity.

@Irene Peduto- I remembered the game, and if you follow the link and watch the video, you'll see the very recognizable conservatives who are lined up for bloody slaughter. Where was Uncle Joe then?

@Colby- I agree that Biden's role is just busy work intended to generate some press- so when Barry makes his gun grab, he can say he's only following the recommendations of his alleged "task force."

Excellent point that parents should take more responsibility for their kids and take the lead in combatting violent videogames.

And now you've got me trying to figure out the rules for "Obamanopoly." I think the players should start with wildly different amounts of money, but the penalty cards always get passed to whoever has the most money. And if someone draws the "Occupy Wall Street" card, they get to mess up the whole board and leave it that way.

  5. I have never understood the liberal logic that thinks it's OK to kill unborn babies, yet it is immoral for an honest, law-abiding citizen to own a gun. By making abortion legal, we have taken away the need for women to be responsible sexually. In the liberal world, there are no consequences for irresponsible behavior.

The same goes for violent video games - one can kill at will, in the most violent scenarios possible, and suffer no consequences. You can't have it both ways - either taking a life is wrong, and a price must be paid, or no life is sacred.

  6. @Susiebee
Very well put. I'm a neighborhood danger/pariah/social misfit for being a responsible gun owner but my neighbor's 5 month pregnant daughter is applauded for having her unwanted (at least by them) baby murdered at the local "women's clinic". There are several couples at my church who would have been estatic to be able to adopt that poor baby.
Note to girl's mother (no dad in sight): What did you think was going to happen, letting your 16 year old daughter date a 25 year old man?
This truly has become Bizarro World.

  7. Graphically violent video games and movies that glorify the most horrific physical and sexual abuse of humans, and the most bloody manners of torture and murder have no causal effect whatsoever on the criminally insane, at least according to the liberal mind.
I wonder why then there exists a multi-billion dollar advertising industry?

    ReplyDelete
  8. @SusieBee- "Liberal logic" is an oxymoron. According to the latest stats, Planned Parenthood ended 333,000 lives last year - but according to the Left, no one was hurt or killed.

Want more "liberal logic?" The Obama Administration is fining Hobby Lobby $100/day PER EMPLOYEE for failure to pay for abortifactant drugs for their (wait for it!) male employees as well as their female employees. Maybe it's time the folks running Obamacare had a little talk about the birds and bees.

As far as violent videogames and media go, I think that young people should be protected from them - primarily by good parenting. And I wish that Hollywood would try to get back to actual storytelling and stop titillating (and desensitizing) audiences with the Pavlov's bell of sex and violence.

@graylady- Ouch. Your story really hits home.

@American Cowboy- You raise an excellent argument: how can advertisements inspire people to take real world actions, but not the movies and television shows which glorify the worst kinds of depravity?

I don't know statistically how much these things contribute to real world violence, but I do know that they make society sicker, more stupid, and less empathetic.

  9. Again, got a good chuckle today @Stilton. Thanks!

Yeah, good luck with that Joe. I have every bit of faith that these sleazebos who are making fortunes from this will somehow now see the light after your heartfelt appeal.

And good luck with hoping for "voluntary restraint" from the video game industry. As long as there are millions of unguided children (of all ages) with access to their parents credit cards, this stuff will get produced and consumed. Capitalism isn't always pretty.

There are times that I wish I had the time and talent to write video games like I did when I was a kid. I'd be fun writing games that served absolutely no redeeming purpose other than to tweak the hypocritical sensibilities of liberals. There are some doozies my warped imagination could come up with. "Fast and Furious", where Eric Holder hands you all sorts of evil-looking weaponry that can be used to kill hapless Mexican citizenry and border patrol agents. "Monopoly" is obvious. "Choice", where you get miniaturized like in "Incredible Voyage", and then explore about Sandra Fluke's uterus searching for various bacteria, virus and the occasional fetus to blast to oblivion. "Occupy" is a game of survival and fun in urban camping. And "Paul Krugman's economic Jenga"

And Krugman as Treasury Secretary? Why not? You all act as though we could possibly do worse than we are!

    ReplyDelete
  10. @John the Econ- I don't think we will get voluntary restraint from the people cashing in on violent entertainments- I was just sort of pointlessly wishing. Considering that "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D" was the biggest boxoffice winner this weekend, clearly nothing is likely to change anytime soon.

And I like the idea of creating videogames which would stick it to liberals (albeit, not so graphically as the game I linked to in today's commentary).

Finally, I don't think Paul Krugman would be worse than our current Treasury Secretary...I just couldn't stand seeing his scruffy face in the news any more than we already do.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh, Krugman would be worse -- much, much worse -- than Geithner. Just ask him:

Krugman says picking him for Treasury secretary "really is a bad idea."

For once I agree with him.

    Another Krugman gem:

"It's terribly unfair that [President Obama is] being judged on the failure of the economy..."

  12. Just heard on Fox that Dear Leader is reported to be getting ready to do gun control through executive order, based upon whatever Plugs comes up with. Bypass Congress, yet again - I smell Dictator.

  14. On another note, even though I find Lindsey Graham less that conservative on most occasions, I hope he can be given credit if he indeed does grow a set and put a hold on Brennan for CIA until Somebody comes clean. He seemed fairly unequivocal last night in saying this - I hope he comes through.

    ReplyDelete
  15. @Colby, Some people still do take responsibility for their actions. I know you said you remember when MOST did. And I'm old enough to remember that as well.
I have done the best I could to raise my two kids to be responsible citizens. And I'm not going to go down an entire laundry list of things I'm proud of when it comes to my kids. However, one recent event I think is apropos to todays subject. Last November my son (he's 15 and a freshman in H.S.) came to me and said he sold his video game "Call of Duty" to a neighbor because it was cutting into his homework time. How often do you hear stuff like that anymore?
As a side note, he can't decide between going to West Point or the Air Force Academy.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I really wish someone would blow the cover off the "Unca Joe" thing. He's a small, petty, nasty little man in the same vein as Obama.

Isn't it odd that we've had two high-profile Leftists flout either the law (Gregory) or their alleged principles (Gore), and nary a peep from the media/propoganda arm of the Democrats?

Isn't Gore richer than Romney, now? So not only did he sell out to an anti-Israel and anti-American organization, but he sold out to one financed by Big Oil. Wasn't that a Bad Thing (TM) when Bush was in office? Didn't Gore scream long and loud about climate change (formerly Global Warming) for YEARS? Oh, but he sold out against all the principles he claimed to have.

And why isn't Gregory in jail awaiting trial? The defenses from Leftists vary from weapons-grade stupidity (you don't like him because he criticised the NRA!) to massive bouts of intellectual dishonesty (no intent to do harm, or ignorance of the law -- try either of those when you get pulled over for speeding, let me know how that works out for you).

So, if I understand the lying, morally bankrupt Left, we need more gun laws to prevent another Sandy Hill, but we don't even enforce the laws we DO have, because David Gregory is one of the beautiful people, as Howie Carr would say.

I get why Obama can't just come out and say that, after socialized medicine, disarming the populace is Stage Two in his junta -- but does the Media really think he will need them or keep them around when (and if) he manages to take over?

    Are they really that stupid?

I'm sorry for being a bit heated, but the naked power grab here, being facilitated by a media that would put Pravda to shame, is really getting to me.

If I weren't in MA, I would be out buying guns not because I really want them, but simply because the government thinks it can decide FOR me.

    Guess what, you can't.

Stilton, if I am out of line, I apologize in advance.

  17. @WMD,
It's really cool to hear about a young person such as your son. Congratulations; I know it is not easy nowadays! I pray that, when he is 18, there will still be an Army and Air Force Academy.

Let's face it folks. obama WILL issue an exacutive order banning as many guns as he thinks he can get away with. The courts will eventually rule it unconstitutional, but there will still be much irreparable damage. I find it almost comical that Joe Bite-me invited the NRA to his stupid little meetings. I'm guessing their purpose is to be the whipping boy.

    ReplyDelete
  18. @WMD, that's one f*&^ed up kid. Clearly, "public" education has failed him. No doubt over the next 3 years they will try their hardest to correct him.

But seriously, I couldn't imagine being more proud. Congratulations on your hard work and sacrifices to make him so. It's stories like that which still gives me hope for future generations.

The Trillion dollar coin........Dear Lord............We are TRULY in a Bizzaro world....That exact idea was first floated.......in an episode of the Simpsons.

I have a house on the eastern shore of Va. Every time I drive thru Delaware, I refuse to stop for anything. If the kid needs to pee, we wait.

Sorry for the stream of consciousness, just hadda vent the spleen.

  20. @CenTexTim- Good point. No matter how bad things are, they could always be worse. If Johnny Optimism teaches us nothing else, he should teach us that.

@Grafton Cheddar- The "Executive Order" to rip up the 2nd Amendment is a place that Barry really, really shouldn't go.

And I hope Lindsey Graham really does stick to his guns (if you'll pardon the expression) until we get some freaking answers.

@WMD- Great story and obviously a great kid. And to be perfectly candid, I own "Call of Duty" and enjoy it from time to time - but I finished my homework a few decades ago.

@Earl Allison- Out of line? Not in the least! I agree with your sentiments and thought you expressed them with more tact and civility than the Left deserves.

@Colby- I think Uncle Joe is just tagging all the bases to give Barry cover for the Executive Order, so they can claim that everyone was "consulted."

@John the Econ- When I have flickers of hope for the future, it's because of stories like that of WMD's son - not the fables coming out of Washington.

@Queso Grande- For those that don't know, there is serious talk about minting a platinum Trillion Dollar Coin - backed by sweet nothing - which could then be "deposited" in our treasury to instantly (and rather magically) give Washington another trillion dollars to spend.

Why not just make it a Centillion Dollar coin (a 10 followed by 303 zeroes) and let it pay for everything for everybody for all time?

"...taken away the need for women to be responsible sexually." As well as men. Men are now able to have all of the fun and face none of the costs of free-wheeling sex, unless the mother is not on welfare or puts his name on the bcert. One point never brought up in the Fluke fiasco is that female bc does not protect females and males from STD. Condoms are a two-fer, don't mess with hormones and it is obvious if you "forget" to use them. IMHO men are the ones most grateful for the Pill.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Holy #@%*! I thought that was a joke! See what happens when you don't read every piece of intellectual diarrhea that spews from Krugman's ass every day? You miss out on a lot of undigested s%$t.

Whatever. Print the dumb coin. Whoever buys it gets what they deserve. Let's print 16 of them and be rid of the national debt. Or better yet, 238 of them and then all of the unfunded liabilities can be covered as well. Then Obama and Congress can then feel free to rack up another quarter-quintrillion dollars of debt to replace the old debt. Free health care and hovercraft for all!

What makes anyone believe that minting a worthless coin would be any better than printing worthless dollar bills? Is economic education in this country actually that bad?

See? Krugman would make a better Treasury Secretary. Timothy Geithner doesn't make me laugh like Krugman does.

  23. Our country has become like a cheesy movie. I think I'm gonna need Prozac to keep living in this topsy-turvy society! "A sane person to an insane society must appear insane" - Kurt Vonnegut That's the way I feel anymore ...

  24. I find it amusing that Slow Joe is in charge of anything, much less a heartbeat away from the Presidency. The two-faced, double standard lefties, and the media that promotes them are the bane of our society.

  25. Thanks Colby and Stilt.
And John the Econ, Trust me the schools have tried their best to brainwash him and my daughter. They are both straight "A" students. My daughter is not as set in her future yet as she is only 12.
My son frequently tells me stories about how a teacher will be discussing global warming, social justice or some other nonsense and he'll trip them up with facts and logic and leave them stammering. And I beam with pride.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @TheOldMan- When I think of the original "women's liberation" movement, I think of men "supporting" the independence of women by encouraging them to burn their bras and have meaningless sex. In other words, women were played for chumps - and things haven't gotten much better. When Monica Lewinsky got into the news, she was practicing "sexual empowerment" to get ahead (so to speak) rather than being victimized by her more powerful boss.

Women need to stop being played for fools by the Left.

@John the Econ- The trillion-dollar coin is a jawdropper, alright. The fact that anyone, anywhere could be seriously considering it is a sign that madness now reigns in Washington.

@Sparky- They'll take away my Prozac when they pry it from my cold, dead hands. And I'm a huge fan of Vonnegut.

@Velcro- Biden is basically the crazy id of the Democrats - all passion, feeling, outrage, nonsense, and non sequiturs.

@WMD- Give your son an "attaboy!" from me, please. And take one for yourself for being such a good parent!

  27. This is just a dog and pony show. The conclusions to this study group was already writen years ago and just needs to be pulled out of the drawer and fine tuned to sort of fit this crisis. Thats why they dont mind joe's show because it really does not matter. They have had teams of lawyers working on this gun control deal since the clinton administration just waiting for the right type of warm bodies for these ghouls to feast on.

Bet they dont break the mold after they mint the trillion dollar coin because if one works then 100 more will make things a hundred times better and the good times will roll.

    ReplyDelete
  28. For those Hitchiker's Guide fans, the trillion dollar coin reminds me of the Golgafrinchians making the leaf their currency. Everybody was filthy rich for 5 minutes. Astoundingly, there are elected officials and citizens that actually believe it would work!

In unrelated news, I heard one this morning that made me laugh our loud in the car. Remember when Trump offered Crap Weasel 5 million bucks to show his college records? Not to be outdone, Bill Maher offered Donald Trump $5 mil to show his birth cert. to prove his father was not an Orangutan. Trump called his bluff and published his birth cert on line, and sent Maher a list of five charities to send million dollar checks. Maher has (gasp!) not responded. Now, I'm no Donald Trump fan, but this rocks!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ok, late to the party, but had to jump in w/ comment...
SusieBee - In the liberal world, there are no consequences for irresponsible behavior.

Unfortunately, that's not quite right. In the liberal world, irresponsible behavior is REWARDED, and success is PUNISHED.

That is probably the largest single thing that is effed up about our society today.

    ReplyDelete
  30. @REM1875- I, too, am skeptical that any "new" solutions to gun violence will arise because Uncle Joe has trained his laser-like focus on the matter for one month. As you say, we're about to hear from a script written long before Sandy Hook.

@Colby- The reason Hitchhiker's Guide (and other satires) are so funny is because they so recognizably reflect real-world stupidity.

Meanwhile, I don't think Donald Trump should hold his breath waiting for Maher to cough up any money.

@Pete(Detroit)- You're quite right: bad behavior is now rewarded, which is why we keep getting more of it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Re: Maher. Oh, he'd BETTER cough up that money. Trump won't let it slide, and it would be great publicity to show, with concrete examples, what exactly a Leftist's word is worth. He should milk it for all it's worth. He provided his BC, and got cheated. And, when Obama had the opportunity to get millions for charity, he refused. Not a good set of optics for the Leftists, is it?

As the great Yogi Berra said, an oral contract isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Hmmm, reminds me a lot of President Thin-Skin's word, too ...

    ReplyDelete
  32. I have no doubt that Maher will come out and say that the bet wasn't real, because he is a comedian and it was all just a joke.

To which I'd respond: Why is it that the intellectual center of the left in this country is run by comedians?
