ReplyDelete@CenTexTim- Frankly, I don't think Michelle's fidelity is of any interest to Barry, but he'd hate to be reminded of his impotence - whether in foreign policy or in the boudoir.

@John the Econ- Although I didn't add commentary to this cartoon, you've grasped the meaning in its entirety. And yes, this IS what far too many Americans voted for - without having any effing idea just WHAT they were voting for.
If lamont pronounces Vladimir's last name with the same attention to detail that he pronounces the city Sarah Palin used to be mayor of, "Wah-silly" (Wasilla), it may explain why "Poon-tang" comes to his mind whenever Vlad is near him, and why I think lamont was "speech bubble" #2.

ReplyDeleteGeneral question for everyone: I must have missed the original memo or been away, but where did the internet meme arise of calling Obama 'lamont'?
I don't get the reference and can't think of any pop culture connection. Google is no help with 'lamont'. Anyone?

@Coon Tasty- I was going to say that I'm pretty sure Putin is straight, but considering what he just did to Barry on the world stage (sans KY jelly) I'm not sure.
@Sparky- Oddly, although I strongly associate the word "bull" with Barry, it's never in the context of reproduction.

@Glad to see SJ posting- There are two "Lamonts" that fit the bill rather nicely (and I can't remember which Bruce is referring to). The first is Lamont Sanford, the younger member of "Sanford & Son," whose father always called him a "big dummy." The other is Lamont Cranston, the secret identity of "The Shadow," who has "the ability to cloud men's minds" in order to conceal his actions.

ReplyDeleteI was thinking about whether I had ever explained why I call magilla's husband "lamont" here at HnC, so here it is...
I read a column by Alan Caruba in the Washington Compost, and it ended thusly...
"We laugh at the ventriloquist’s dummy, but what do you do when the dummy is President of the United States of America?"
The ONLY reference that came to mind was Fred Sanford making the introduction "This is my son Lamont... he's a dummy!"
It seemed apropos and afforded barry the respect he so richly deserves! It ALSO doesn't flag my posts with the NSA, because I don't want to... wait a minute... three black Suburbans just pulled up in front of my house... "Hey you guys... do you have a warrant... let go of me... NO, THIS IS MY PERSONAL COMPUT... ha9rgofjnbhsgljjuapojgnghgp..........

ReplyDeleteas to Joe Bite-me's comment... I think he said barry has a big "schtick", (which in this context means his gimmick or routine is a Vaudevillian commander in chief). Remembering that lamont is half white, I was not incredulous that the doctor who performed lamont's "khitan" had to use the device I mentioned to Bobo, ergo the "big stick" (nudge-nudge, wink-wink) couldn't be his johnson, (John-Thomas to our British readers).
So do we know which of them called out Putin's name? Should we have a pole (so to speak) on this question?

ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, Mooch DOES look a lot like Aunt Ester... I will point out, though, that Lamont Sanford was the only normal one in the family, and he was an honest man. Two traits which crap weasel sorely lacks. Still, it IS fun to call the big dummy Lamont.
