Play It Where It Lies, And Lies, And Lies

hope n' change, hope and change, stilton jarlsberg, conservative, tea party, benghazi, obama, obama jokes, jay carney, susan rice, scandal, terror, terrorism, talking points

Thanks to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit from the group Judicial Watch, the "most transparent administration in history" has grudgingly coughed up a copy of an email from White House aide Ben Rhodes in which he pushed Susan Rice to go on the Sunday news shows days after the terrorist attack in Benghazi...and blame everything on a ridiculous Internet video rather than any "failure of policy" on the part of Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.

But according to White House spokesweasel Jay Carney, "the e-mail and the talking points were not about Benghazi. They were about the general situation in the Muslim world."

In other words, following the terrorist attack in Benghazi and the brutal murders of four Americans including a U.S. ambassador, Susan Rice was sent out to the news shows with talking points prepared under the assumption that journalists on five different networks would be eager to chat about "the general situation in the Muslim world," and none would think to ask her "what in the name of holy hell just happened in Benghazi?!"

Frankly, we'd like to write more about this topic, but we've got blood spurting out of our ears and our teeth that are cracking under the strain of not saying aloud what we think should be done with Barry, Hillary, Carney and the rest of the liars who gave cover to terrorists and betrayed our dead in order to win an election.

  1. Gaaaaahhh!!!That's about all the vocalisation I can manage other than a string of extreme profanity.
The mendacity of these crooks is ASTOUNDING. There just seems to be no end or limit to it.

  2. Benghazi was obviously a covert CIA operation enabling emperor Ă˜bama to turn over surface to air missiles and other weapons to his good buddies in Al Qaeda. With the impending elections just around the corner, you would think at least one Republican would launch an investigation into this or any of the many other scandals the administration is involved in. As that could only help their party to gain a Senate majority, one must wonder what their lack of enthusiasm in prosecuting obvious criminal activity says about their own moral fortitude. Are the Republicans also so corrupt that doing their job and living up to their Constitutional oath for once would cause their own criminality to be exposed?

  3. I hope to see Obama, Clinton and Rice fleeing DC in a white Ford Bronco any day now. No wonder Obama picked a criminal attorney for WH counsel.....

  4. I'm trying to remember why Nixon was forced out of office, how many people did he kill and then lie about it?

  5. @Geoff -- It is all too true: the Republican establishment is the Stupid Party, they lack the courage of their convictions; they are Dems in slow-motion.
@Stilton -- Carney and the Administration is getting its ass handed to them ... it is now obvious to all but the most obtuse Kool-Aid™ drinkers that this is not just a passing misfortune. There is real malfeasance here; we've been lied to for six years.

  6. Now, now... Our leaders have done a fine job, in my mind. And when the next President takes office I hope he/she rewards them all with cushy ambassadorships to Libya, Iran, Yemen, Egypt, Syria.... We will also want to make sure HRH Barack, Jay Blarney, Billary, and the rest get the same, outstanding security they provided to Ambassador Stephens.

Seriously, I'd love to think that O'Liar's house of cards is finally starting to crumble, but we've seen him wriggle out of so many messes, I'm not holding my breath. If it was just BO involved, the MSM might eventually turn their backs on him and start reporting the truth, but their darling Billary is in the middle of it. so.... crickets.

  7. Couple that memo with the testimony of retired AF General Robert Lovell regarding the 'demonstration' ("We knew very early on this was a hostile action, not demonstration gone terribly awry") and the subsequent lack of military response, and you have a damning indictment of the obama administration.

But at this point, what difference does it make? The dead remain dead, hillary is a foregone conclusion to be the favorite in the 2016 presidential race, and no one has been or will be appropriately punished for their dereliction of duty and the resulting coverup.

    I desperately need some 'coffee'...

  8. Indeed. At this point, exactly "What difference does it make?" beyond becoming a talking point for the right?

In an actually "concerned" America, it should be more than a talking point. But the sad fact is that this is now old news. Obama got re-elected and nothing is changing that. The only up-side to this is that that single ugly soundbite from Hillary may just be enough to keep her out of the White House in 2016. We can only hope.

The formerly missing e-mail does little more than confirm what pretty-much everybody already accepted as fact; That the political end of the Obama Administration concocted the Islamophobe video narrative to distract the electorate from the fact that Al Queda remains as an organized force and that Obama's "lead from behind" policy was a dismal failure in the months preceding the 2012 election.

And as with most hastily and ill-conceived cover-ups, if they had just gone with the truth, it would have been a painful meme for a week or two, and then the pliant Obamamedia would have totally dropped it, just as they have the much bigger IRS story. The fact that only Fox would have continued to carry the story only would have served the left's narrative that the this is all the right has to blow out of proportion, and this was all no big deal.

But as far as I am concerned, the most offensive aspect of the Administration's and left's behavior in this sorry episode is floating the implication that it's America's "Freedom of Speech" that was the real problem here. Two weeks after the attack, Obama even went as far as to address the UN, stating that "The Future Must Not Belong To Those Who Slander The Prophet Of Islam".

I'm afraid that our eye is off the ball here. The 1st Amendment is the real target, and is currently under assault in America, as has the notion of "free speech" been in Europe for the better part of a decade now. (In Britain, it's now possible to be literally arrested for quoting Winston Churchill in public) Currently, there are journalists in the US who are being sued for publicly questioning "global warming".

No, they're not repeal the 1st Amendment. That would be difficult, because Americans still largely like the idea of "freedom". But what they are going to do is make it very dangerous and expensive for you to exercise your right. Not very many of us can spare the hundreds-of-thousands of dollars it takes to fend off this kind of protracted litigation, which the government and special interests will be happy to pursue. So most of us will be forced to take the safe route and shut up. Which is what they really want.

  9. Jay Carnage - OMG. Hey, I read somewhere else that Billary is now being referred to as "Killary". Sounds good to me. "A little Killary Au Gratin with some Susan Rice on the side" - scrumptious. Hey, Susan Rice is kinda cute - just vicious and deceitful and ... and... scary.

@Geoff - you are so right. The RINOs are simply not doing their job nor are the press (for the most part - certainly the MSM). And @Sunnybrook is right too (not to pick and choose here but I need another cup of coffee). As someone who lived through that mess, I am just aghast that this idiot Obama seems to skate through like a Brony Master (not to be confused with a Jedi Master).

  10. Geoff,
YES, they ARE that corrupt! Anyone who takes an OATH to UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION, and then lets this POSEUR do UNConstitutional things has an agenda that does NOT comport with integrity.
    Frankie,
Too bad Ted Kennedy isn't around to chauffeur them somewhere.
    Sunnybrook...
When lamont gets his "Lieberry" [sic] it should be in a converted morgue, preferably in africa!
To top it all off, the media arm of the democraps, CBS, ABS, NBS, CNBS, MSNBS, CNNBS, et al, are COMPLICIT with the lying and deception. They have all taken away First Amendment rights from us incrementally. We can't even have a personal phone conversation without the fear of having our sports team taken away!
    It's ALL bovine exhaust!!!!!!!!

  11. @Stilton

There is so much I would like to say, but not being a rabid LIEberal I find that MY freedom of speech has been effectively nullified by the left's strident screams of racism, sexism, and homophobia, none of which are accurate; and perceived threats from the left of government sponsored intimidation, bullying, and harassment for not marching in lock-step with the current agenda.

    @Geoff King
What scandals? They evidently believe the lie that they were all "phony" scandals. And your assessment of the GOP is spot on. I have always believed that they are just opposite sides of the same counterfeit coin. And just like a counterfeit coin, no matter which side you look at (even if one looks better than the other) the coin is still counterfeit and worthless.

  12. I'll say it for you Stilton through my grinding teeth: all these supposed representatives of our government should be tried in a court of law to insure justice, then taken out back and duly executed. If there was any justice in the world, this is what would happen.

  13. In response to all the rational angst against what the two parties are doing or not doing:

The Democrats are corrupt in a way we've never seen before in this country -- they seem to wish to create endless problems in every sphere, from health care, on race, to the economy, climate, and to foreign policy and more. They are like firemen who set fires so they can rush in and be the "hero." They will wreck the place so they can rebuild it. They will break a window to create a job, they think.

Meanwhile, from my weird angle, no, the Republicans don't really care about Benghazi, or the 1st Amendment, or ObamaSnare, or the lack of a budget, the deficit & debt, or the NSA -- or anything else that is germane to the entire nation - and in a sense they just want to change out themselves for the Democrats -- for the power and perks. Instead, they are seemingly worried about only one thing -- sissy smooching. It is astounding to me as I read what passes for thought on the matter. In Missouri they're trying to impeach the Governor because he said gay couples can pay taxes, for heaven's sake. In Louisiana they voted to keep a "law" against gay people even though it's completely unenforceable -- held hearings on it even. Boehner has met in the Capitol Building with a group that seeks to "sovle the homosexual problem" -- by eliminating us somehow, they think. In Indiana they're pushing for a state constitutional amendment against the pursuit of happiness for people they just don't like. Have at it -- what a waste of time effort and money -- and against Liberty in every sense of the word.
And if the Republicans win the Senate, and have the House -- they will seek nothing much but laws and even a Constitutional Amendment against gay marriage and existence. Mark my words -- it's obvious to me, however much no one likes to hear it -- or however much you think this will solve anything for any of you.

That's why I've been urging people to vote Libertarian for years. Someone at Reason magazine just the other day suggested Libertarians should take over the Republican party. Well, good. But what we have now are Socialists versus Theocrats -- both for power for themselves, and screw the people -- aka, You. Well, changing masters doens't quite end the serfdom or solve or fix a damn thing.

For nearly the entire current crop of politicians in both parties is rotten to the core. And we will not get out of the mess we're in until we get rid of this "two party" system which is more like two families in Medieval Europe arguing over who should be king. And we are left wondering whether the Capets or Bourbons will rule us.

  14. I like your style, Sparky! You and I know they WILL get theirs down the road!

  15. @Jim Hlavac

Yup - it's all about power and it's misuses.

That's why I'm libertarian. As with anything, there are various flavors but for me, it's all about the Rule Of Law and keeping power, in all of it's manifestations, from concentrating. Free Minds, Free Markets.

Orthodoxy/dogma on both he left and the right are about enforcement and that means power. Victimology is a dominant aspect of the current progressive dogma. But dogma it is.

  16. @Jim Hlavac, Amen.

And you can clearly see this in how the mainstream media covers the GOP, and the mutual contempt that both have for the Tea Party.

  19. I don't have anything related to this comic to say, but I just wanted to say that commenter Colby is a misogynist hog and that Michelle Obama is probably a much better woman than he'll ever get (assuming that he gets with anything more than his hand, a dirty sock, and a Palin speech)

  21. @Sparky

On target as usual - the left is really going over the top about Killary. Did you see this?

Can you imagine their reaction if Bush 43 were still prez? But BO is their Brony Master and Killary their Goddess de Sade.

  22. @Readers- Circumstances have kept me from joining in the roundtable here, but (as always) you keep the discussions lively without me.

I'm not exactly sure why "Anonymous" (about 3 posts above) decided to go off on Colby about misogyny, as I can't see that he mentioned females at all. Maybe Anonymous just wanted a public forum to say that he/she/it thinks that our nation's first lady would be terrific in bed, which seems like an extremely demeaning and sexist thing to say.
