The Eyes Have It

hope n' change, hope and change, stilton jarlsberg, obama, obama jokes, cartoon, political, al sharpton, michael brown, ferguson, racism, eye for an eye

According to reports from two St. Louis sources who probably don't want their homes burned down, the officer who shot "Big Mike" Brown suffered an "orbital blowout fracture of the eye socket" when the "gentle giant" was punching him in the face.

Searching Google for images of similar injuries will cause your butt to pucker in sympathy, because clearly getting your facial bones broken hurts. A lot.

Pretty much any officer in this situation would feel that the threshold for using deadly force had been reached. But according to a growing number of witnesses, the officer didn't fire his weapon at Brown until the belligerently aggressive, 6 foot 4, 292 pound giant charged directly at him to do even more damage.

It's still too early to know exactly what happened in Ferguson - but it's not too early to say that no good can come from race-baiting rabble-rousers like Al Sharpton praising the violent nitwits burning and sacking local businesses as "liberators not looters."

It's time for the Reverend Al to make a greater effort to have his actions guided by the Good Book rather than his well-worn racial playbook.

  1. The presstitute media such as MSNBC is still trying to push the "Gentle Giant" fantasy along with Al Sharpton. We also know the New Black Panthers are there and what a great bunch of guys they are. However, here is a very odd video from the scene showing the Panthers actually shielding the cops:
    http://www.infowars.com/new-black-panthers-protect-cops-in-ferguson/
Between the cops being ordered to stand down during the looting but then shooting tear gas and rubber bullets at the peaceful protesters, the DOJ not wanting the incriminating video of the "Gentle Giant" being released, and now this video evidence of cooperation between supposed enemies; it appears that there are government forces at work here that wish to foment violence in order to bring about the police state.

  2. I think you will see all 'Rule Of Law' buried deeper than Barry's poll numbers. A giant mistake again by the 'ol Lightbringer (again), playing golf while Ferguson burns. Now he's sent Eric the Unjust to sort everything out and to make sure that the cop is vilified and prosecuted. Already, the good 'ol Governor is changed his tune and thrown the cop under the bus. Any bets that all the evidence showing a justified shooting, the toxicology reports (the early release showed marijuana in his system, but today's marijuana is a lot stronger/potent than back in my Bob Dylan days), and any eyewitness/cell phone recordings that deviate from the 'Gentle Giant' story line never make the light of day?

@Geoff King: "...order to bring about the police state..." - I think that Obama's militarization of the Police has taken a severe blow. That swat officer that was lying on the roof rack of that MRAP didn't have a rubber bullet gun/tear gas launcher - looked more like a belt fed weapon to me. Why do SWAT teams need SAW's? I think this will see a lot of light shown on it by Congress.

  3. Al Sharpton is a Reverend the same way I am the Queen of England: NOT. He is a race baiting hustler with the IQ of a rutabaga. That he has his own show on MSNBC speaks volumes about both Al and MSNBC ... they are both made of the same stuff: hint - it comes out of the south end of a north-bound Bull.

  5. For reasons known only to himself, Al Charlatan considers himself an intelligent, informed, articulate activist who knows how to capture media attention and speak for the disenfranchised, as long as they are black and stupid. In that regard, he has never met a press conference or a video camera he didn't like.

The self-appointed messiah for downtrodden blacks is actually nothing more than a faux minister without a parish, an alligator mouth with a hummingbird ass, and a repertoire of inflammatory terms, accusations, and demands. He works tirelessly to fan the flames of black
discontent and anger with white culture.

Reverend Soundbyte has been proven wrong, villified, jailed, indicted for tax evasion, beaten up, and even stabbed for his outrageous accusations and inciteful behavior. However, his skin must be teflon because nothing seems to stick to him, especially the truth. In most cases, he manages to turn accusations against him and attacks on his imaginary accusations against others into proof that the white media and conservative criminal justice system are out to get him.

Alfred Charles Sharpton Jr. :born 3 October 1954 in Brooklyn, best known as a black supremacist who either creates incidents or blows things out of proportion for the sole purpose of getting his name in the news while promoting the concept of reparations to American blacks for slavery and excuses for sitting on their lazy asses, drawing welfare, and looting neighborhood merchants.

Sharpton is a rabble-rousing, ambulance-chasing, shitstirring loudmouth who ostensibly protests racial injustice and police brutality, but like his mentor,
Jesse Jackson, he is entirely uninterested in any minority group other than African. Jews, Asians, Latinos, and light-skinned Arabs can go suck canal water as far as he's concerned.

As a child, Sharpton managed to acquire the title of "minister" and was known as the "boy wonder" preacher of the Washington Temple Church of Let's Get Whitey! Actually nothing more than a pest and wannabe entertainer, he founded the National Delinquent Youth Movement right out of high school, worked as a tour manager for wife-beater and drug addict James Brown, and toured with screechers and garblers who called themselves singers to rip off their gullible black audiences. In the 70s and 80s, he sleazed with shyster promoter Don King to cheat several boxers out of their money before it even got into their hands.

Hungry for attention as a spokesman for his black brethren, Sharpton will seize upon any opportunity to get his face in the news. It's a sickness with him, a compulsion, making him a serial annoyer with a loud, scratchy voice and a warped, devious agenda.

Al Sharpton has damaged race relations between whites and blacks in America for decades, and he'll continue to do it until he accidentally falls into the La Brea tar pits or is sucked through the intake of a 767 engine undergoing
full thrust testing. Rest assured that he will manage to piss off hundreds of black people at the Ferguson choirboy’s memorial service and continue to pop burrs under the saddle of racial harmony while popping Franklins into his pockets for the effort.

The man is a fraud, a danger, a cheat, a racist, a flim-flammer, and a counterproductive voice for American blacks. Like our Precedent President, the only thing he has ever run has been his mouth, and his greatest gift to any group of people is to the Asian and Latino communities through his refusal to consider them worthy of his time.

Our nation and our culture would be much better off if both ends of his alimentary canal were to grow permanently shut.

  7. So now that the DOJ is so involved in Ferguson they do not have the time to deal with other issues like open borders, destroyed emails, etc. How convenient for the MSM that they have another reason not to report on the ineptitude of this administration.

    ReplyDelete
  8. That the mainstream media continues to legitimize the likes of Sharpton by seriously paying attention to his antics (and in the case of MSNBC, even giving him a job) only demonstrates their complicity in the fraud. It's embarrassing for everyone; honest black citizens, the media, and the country as a whole.

That it's oft repeated that Sharpton represents "The Good Book" only demonstrates how few people have actually read it. In a truly just society, the only book Sharpton would be associated with would be the one thrown at him before he's made to rot in prison, where any non-black who's done what he has over the decades would be, and where he belongs.

  9. I've come to the sad conclusion that most of the nation, including nearly all the press, politicos, pundits and the president himself, thinks all things can be known and solved in a Tweet and an App ... and all semblance of rational thought and follow through and investigation of what really happened is unimportant, on virtually any issue, really, not just this one. We have become an emotional nation -- we don't need no facts no more. And this is true on both sides, and often up the middle. And so when one does bring rational consideration to a matter one is told "you don't care" and "you're part of the problem" and "you're racist" etc etc ... it's astonishing. Frightening even. Oh well. I find it best, at times, to just avoid it nearly all of it now.

  10. Race baiting indeed. From the ineffectual police, governor, Sharpton, Holder and his highness in the WH this seems to be another orchestrated effort at racial division. More of the divide and conquer tactic of the left. I happened to live about 10 miles North of the 1967 Detroit riot. By the next day, the state police, the national guard and President Johnson called out federal troops. I lived almost on Woodward and heard the police streaming towards Detroit the first night all night long. I saw national guard troops on my corner with guns. We were under strict curfew even where I lived. The bad result...43 dead, 467 injured, 477 fires, $250 million in damages, 2000 buildings destroyed. The good result... 7211 arrests and resolution in 5 days. These people, in Ferguson, are clueless. If you're going to do something, do it right. PS: Bocopro, how do you really feel?

  12. Blood lust everywhere. I suspect it will be on the Democratic National Platform soon - hey, maybe it already is - not something I pay attention to much.

Grumpy - good to see you again. And yes, "The Rule Of Law" and "progressive" politics simply do not mix. "Progressive" politics is about "outcomes". In this case, a black youth is dead and now the police officer involved must pay for it. Holder will see to that. Department of Jacksh1t.

Who knows - maybe the police officer was at fault - so far, nothing seems to support that. But let the investigation proceed. Stop the rioting and looting and grandstanding folks. You do yourself NO good. And you are playing into the hands of your puppet masters.

Or maybe, as has been said, you would welcome the tactics of ISIS. Then you are indeed the bloodthirsty scum that you appear to be so-far.

  15. @Lynn Lowman- Thank you.

@rickn8or- I've got to admit that I'm particularly fond of that panel.

@Geoff King- I don't want to be accused of wearing a tinfoil hat, but it was Eric Holder who exonerated the new black panthers who were intimidating voters at a polling place, and now Eric Holder who is structuring things to make the new black panthers look like the authorities in Ferguson. I'm not sure what the game is yet, but we're definitely getting played.

@Grumpy Curmudgeon- The initial medical reports aren't doing much to help clarify things. The medical examiner's findings so far are that the injuries "are consistent with" various versions of witness accounts. And as Dr. Charles Krauthammer points out: "In medicine the term ‘consistent with’ is a weasel-word, a way of saying, ‘I have no idea. It could be anything.’”

    @Chuck Baker- I totally agree.

    @Chris- You nailed it!

@bocopro- I appreciate the depth of your bio on Sharpton. He's truly a despicable human - and the fact that he still has any public credibility is unspeakably sad.

    @Chuck Baker- Too true. Dammit.

@Marla- Isn't it odd that the DOJ never has enough resources to finish a sensitive investigation, but always has enough resources to take on new cases?

@John the Econ- Well put. I try hard not to belittle the raw intelligence of people who listen to Reverend Al, but in the end I fail. That is some serious short bus dumb-assery going on there.

@Jim Hlavac- Sadly, I agree completely. Everything is "tweet" sized now, including people's attention spans and capacity for analytical thought. Calls for reflexive emotion seem to "work" for the masses who can no longer be bothered with actual facts or complexity.

I, too, am frequently tempted to turn away from it all.

@Judi King- I'm pretty sure that our black president and black attorney general could do a lot more to bring this situation under control if that's what they actually wanted.

But no - they want this show to continue right up until the midterms. And if people are hurt or killed along the way, well, that's just what happens when you're making a Progressive omelet.

@Anonymous- Oh, f*ck me! The governor is calling for a "vigorous prosecution" of Wilson even though there's not officially been determination of any crime.

You're right - there is a lynch mentality at work here (have you seen the footage of chanting assholes in Ferguson shouting "Who do we want - Darren Wilson! How do we want him - Dead!")

Whether it's the governor demanding "vigorous prosecution" or Obama saying that the people of Ferguson are "rightfully" outraged, the message is coming out loud and clear that the demonstrations should be continued and escalated.

@Dom Paulo- Very well put. I don't know if officer Wilson did anything wrong yet, but am open to the possibility. I didn't immediately choose sides, and still haven't.

But until we know all the facts, it's fair to take into consideration the facts we do know:

    • Wilson had no previous disciplinary actions, and had been working in the mostly black city for 6 years. Hard to imagine a racist doing that.

    • Brown was an aggressive asshole, as shown on the security video.

    • Brown drew "first blood" when he smashed Wilson's eye socket, dramatically changing the nature of the confrontation.

Unfortunately, neither Holder nor the media finds those facts very compelling.

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Jim Hlavac - Ahh, facts, eh? You mean like:
"Facts are stubborn things, and regardless of our
inclinations, our desires, or the dictates of our passions,
they cannot change the state of facts and evidence."
    John Quincy Adams.

  18. As someone who is long past over the "Ice Bucket Challenge" thing, might I suggest something new for Jackson, Sharpton, and the thugs of Ferguson: The "Catch a Bullet in the Teeth Challenge", with the proceeds going to the unreported nameless-to-the-media victims of black-on-black crime that takes place dozens-of-times-a-day all over America.

There's something I'd donate money to.

@Readers- Allow me to blow off a little more steam: the idiot Governor of Missouri said that the release of the Michael Brown robbery video "besmirched" his character. But he doesn't think officer Wilson's character is "besmirched" when the governor calls for his "vigorous prosecution"?!

Seriously, people of Missouri, will you please impeach this asshole?

    ReplyDelete

  21. Stilton, the people of Missouri would love to impeach him, but he was elected by Obama and Sharpton acolytes in St. Louis and Kansas City who outnumber the rural voters. 36. @Pamecon, the Obama era has been decimating for Black America. To this day, Progressives still bemoan the evil 80s, during which somehow the Black American middle class transitioned from a statistical blip into the mainstream. The opposite has happened during the Obama era.

And the MSM remains MIA on this issue, failing to ask this simple question: "Exactly how will flooding the labor marketplace with millions of legalized aliens not hurt employment for Black Americans, for whom the unemployment rate is already twice that of White Americans?" That, and "What good is a higher minimum wage to someone who is unemployed, or who loses their job as a result of becoming too expensive to employ?"

No, they can't afford to have those questions come up. So instead they'll deploy Sharpton, Jackson & Holder to Ferguson to throw more gas on the flames, and keep the fires going as long as possible leading up to November.

Meanwhile on a totally unrelated topic, (which I suspect will be tomorrow's cartoon) we had the President yesterday saying "One thing we can all agree on is that a group like ISIL has no place in the 21st century..."

And yet, they do. They have a place because the Progressive's post-modernist 21st century theory of "let's extend our hand in peace and negotiate with everybody who disagrees with us" doesn't work in the face of true evil. It didn't work with Hitler. It didn't work with the Soviet Union. And it's not going to work with radical Islam, which is convinced that it is sanctioned by God take over the planet, and simply kill anyone or anything that gets in its way.

So until the 21st century post-modernists and multiculturalists come to grip with that grim reality, not only will the likes of ISIS continue to have a place in the 21st century, in an atmosphere of disorder they will continue to spread, and innocent people will continue to be killed.

  37. On the beheading of American journalist James Foley I am not sure what I find more disgusting - the actual beheading, or the fact that 4 minutes after Øbama made his weak statement about it he was teeing off at the golf course, fist pumping and laughing with friends. Meanwhile, British PM Cameron actually cut short his own vacation because of the possibility that the executioner may be a Brit.

It came as President Obama's conduct attracted growing criticism after he played golf immediately after he gave a speech condemning the murder of Mr Foley.

Four minutes after leaving the podium Obama teed-off and was seen laughing with friends and fist-bumping them during a five-hour round at Farm Neck Golf Course on Martha's Vineyard - his seventh 18-holes in ten days.
What a shame he could only play golf 7 out of 10 days of his vacation. How can he be expected to run a country with that poor of a showing?

      Delete
  38. @Geoff King: NYT Headline )quickly changed): “Obama, outraged over beheading, vows to stay on course”
Directly after the press conference, Obama went to play a round of golf where he was pictured in a good mood, laughing with ex-NBA basketball player Alonzo Mourning and fist-bumping Cyrus Walker, the cousin of White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett. Businessman Glenn Hutchins was also pictured out on the course. The networks switched coverage of Foley's parents presser in favor of Obama's say nothing self important posturing. Coincidentally, just before the press conference began, mass emails went out noting the execution and seeking donations for the Democratic Party.

  39. Meanwhile, even while the facts of the Ferguson case turn against the approved script, the media remains willing to stick their microphones in front of any idiot who's willing to spew the narrative, no matter how silly they sound.

My most recent favorite appeared on my local news last night at a local protest. (You're not a serious city unless you've got a local protest, BTW)

This individual, supposedly a minister, said "We have to speak up every time a black man is killed."

Really hon? Last weekend alone, dozens of black men were killed, almost exclusively by other black men all over America. And I'm willing to bet that a fair number of those "victims" actually were people with futures, even actual honor students who weren't thugs walking away from their latest strong-arm robbery. I didn't see you or any of your friends speaking up on their behalf. And somehow I seriously doubt I'll be seeing you speaking up on the behalf of next weekend's collateral damage from the thug culture nobody seems to want to talk about.

"White America" isn't your problem. The cops aren't your problem. Your problem is that you've come to accept the black-on-black violence as normal, so it's only the rarity of an actual white-cop shooting a black kid that gets anyone's attention anymore.

    Sick and sad.
