Barack Hussein Obama settled into an all-too-comfy chair for an all-too-comfy interview on CBS's "60 Minutes" show and blamed the rise of ISIS entirely on our nation's intelligence agencies.
Obama accused said "intelligence" of underestimating the rising strength of ISIS while overestimating the ability of the Iraqi army to fight back in a meaningful way. Because if Obama had received accurate intelligence, he obviously would have made brilliant decisions to keep the jihadist situation from coming to a head. Or beheadings.
"Over the past couple of years, during the chaos of the Syrian civil war," Obama monotoned, "where essentially you have huge swaths of the country that are completely ungoverned, [Al Qaeda radicals] were able to reconstitute themselves and take advantage of that chaos."
Which was pretty much what everyone with actual intelligence had been saying would happen for years. Still, the president is correct that the jihadists are taking advantage of the chaos that accompanies a lack of governance. Although sadly, it is the chaos Obama is creating at home and abroad.
BONUS: Apparently SOMEone Had Sex With That Woman
Grandpa Clinton is passing out Monica-flavored cigars
The only value to interviews with prezzy Ø is trying to guess who he will blame this time.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the tone deaf antics of this feckless imitation of a president on a "respected news show" frequented by the low info voters may help wrest the Senate from the dictatorial clutches of Reid. If so, it would be the only redeeming feature of seeing this fatuous gasbag on any television screen.
ReplyDeleteGreatest cartoon ever! It says it all.
ReplyDeleteHow can Øbama have underestimated ISIS when he is responsible for arming them and their subsequent rise to power? Also, simply because he says they are not Islamic does not make it so. They are Islamic enough to cause many different sects to willingly join with them as well as gain recruits from many other countries - including our own.
ReplyDeleteOn the other topic: Charlotte Clinton for president in 2050!!
Sorry, I suffer from PCSD ( Post Clinton Stress Disorder).
Oh my, oh my, this is indeed rich. I've not watched 60 Minutes for years, and was not even aware that the Liar in Chief was going to be on. Wouldn't have watched it anyway. I make a concerted effort to avoid seeing him or hearing him because I prefer to not die of an anuerism or stroke, but this is rich. Plus, 60 Minutes lost all credibility years ago.
ReplyDeleteThe jackwad created this mess, and he's blaming intelligence? Is he blaming military intellegence? Does he recall who it was that pulled the military intellegence out of Iraq? Apparently not, and he apparently thinks we are too stupid to remember it. Actually, he is half right; his little Kool-aid Klub don't remember.
Grumpy,
No kidding! Different names, same satan... Lucifer, Beelzebub, The Deceiver... ISIS, ISIL, El Qeada, Hamas.... All the same bunch of cats. I think we should do everything in our power get them all hooked up with their 72 virgins as quickly as possible.
I would like to remind this administration of a quote by General 'Mad Dog' Mathis - 'No war is over until the enemy says it's over. We may think it over, we may declare it over, but in fact, the enemy gets a vote.'
ReplyDeleteIslam is not a religion of peace, it is a 'religion' based on the ravings of an insane narcissistic megalomaniac pedophile. It demands all it's followers to put to death all non-believers, or to have themselves put to death. It is a system that puts all the wealth and power in the hands of the mosques and Inmans. They force their people to remain in the stone age, because any enlightened/educated person would see it for the sham that it is. To back this point, look at the populations that most support it - it appeals to those at the lower levels economically and educationally. The greatest number of 'converts' in the US come from prison populations. The more educated give lip service to it while in their countries, but flee to Europe or the US on business or vacations to let loose.
It's hard to fully understand the idiocy pr cupidity of Obama's comment -- it is his job to learn every single last thing about that place - he had six years now to simply study the place until he knew it backwards and forwards -- for if he was going to withdraw, as he claimed, he should have well known what he was leaving behind. And if he intended to stay, but lied about it, then he ought to have some damn good ideas about what we should be doing there.
ReplyDeleteThe idea that the various defense/intelligence agencies didn't know or tell him the many many facets and possibilities is farcical. Or scarily absurd -- that he didn't think to ask.
What else is he clueless about with various hotspots around the world?
I never expected the "Average American" to really figure it all out - but surely the president must.
obama appointed James Clapper as National Intelligence Director in 2010. I was always held responsible for the actions (or inactions) of those that served under me. I fully agreed with that - for the most part I selected and directed them. It's a shame that same standard isn't applied to the CinC.
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't reading the effing intelligence reports. He's an effing liar. The president is worse than Carter, worse than anybody. Style before substance. Lies, lies, lies. Oh and golf. Jackass.
ReplyDeleteWho's ass did this guy come out of????
In Øbama's defense, it would be extremely difficult to read all those intelligence reports with a drink in one hand and a 9-iron in the other.
ReplyDeleteToday's posting is priceless! O has been lacking intelligence for 6 years! But I guess that if blaming others over and over again works, why not? No doubt we'll find out that the "lack of intelligence" was Bush's fault. Whatever happened to "The buck stops here." I wonder if any human being in the history of the world has been any better at not taking responsibility than the joker in chief we have now. What would it be like if he admitted that he doesn't give a darn about this country or the office he holds? How much longer can we endure his endless golf games, lavish vacations and lack of competency? My heart yearns for a real leader who loves the amazing nation we live in. May God bless the USA!
ReplyDeleteClapper was quoted as saying. "...It boils down to predicting the will to fight, which is an imponderable."
ReplyDeletenot ponderable : incapable of being...evaluated with exactness.
Are the clowns in charge REALLY that stupid?
I know the answer to that question. All one has to do is walk down Main Street USA in any given town, see what passes themselves off as typical Americans anymore and the answer is painfully obvious. We're all screwed, IMO.
Anonymous,
ReplyDelete"Who's ass did this guy come out of????"
American Cowboy said it. Go downtown and see all those under 30 somethings walking around with their pants barely hanging off their asses, blathering on their $500 phone about "MF" this and "My ho" that. Or the kid driving the Subaru with Coexist and O'Liar stickers on it. Or how about the "19th Century Western Central South American Native Studies" major at the local university who gets all her news from Facebook and Twitter, or when cornered, from MSNBC.
They number in the millions and O'Liar figured out how to get them to go vote. All these idiots will get a rude awakening someday when their parents die and they have no place to live, but until then, we need to somehow get them dis-interested again. The Republicans should give away free Xboxes, iPhones and Playstation 4's.
OK OK, I am a little slow in my old age but I just now saw "Apparently SOMEone Had Sex With That Woman".
ReplyDeleteOh my, Doc. That is so low, so mean - and so absolutely hilarious. I laugheddddddd! Snot came out of my nose. I bet the libtards are going thermonuclear. Ha!
Oh man ... You are so good. The essence of good humor: you don't see it coming.
Ran across this - what a fitting comment when you look at Obama....“All I know is just what I read in the papers, and that's an alibi for my ignorance.”
ReplyDelete― Will Rogers
Remember, guys n gals, he is not stupid...he just thinks WE are!
ReplyDeleteWell, they say ignorance is bliss. If so, this administration must be on cloud nine. Except I don't believe the "dic" is ignorant but is self deluded AND a pathological liar. He needs counseling!
ReplyDelete@REM1875- Somehow, this should be the basis of a drinking game...
ReplyDelete@Grumpy Curmudgeon- The "Khorosan Group" accusation is an interesting one; specifically that Barry's team made up the name rather than call them Al Qaeda (and admitting that Al Qaeda was never vanquished).
@TrickyRicky- It's been a long time since "60 Minutes" has deserved any respect. Ergo my complete lack of interest in watching the two man circle jerk which took place.
@Judi King- Aw, shucks.
@Geoff King- I don't think Obama OR our intelligence agencies underestimated ISIS. I think Obama ignored the warnings because he's sympathetic to ISIS's goals.
Regarding the Clinton cartoon, some nutjob woman on Facebook got bent out of shape over it because she claimed I was mocking Chelsea's baby. Uh - no. I was mocking Bill Effing Clinton for being a serial abuser of women.
@Colby Muenster- Yes, it's funny how your intelligence dries up when you pull all your people from the field.
And everyone with an ounce of grey matter knew that the bad guys would simply lay low until Obama pulled the troops out (per his announced schedule), after which they'd regroup and rebuild.
@Grumpy Curmudgeon- I think we're way past the time when political correctness should provide cover to radical Muslims by letting them hide behind the broader banner of Islam.
@Jim Hlavac- Sadly, I think Barry has figured out the lay of the land - and likes it just fine.
@CenTexTim- Barry takes no responsibility for anyone below him, and fails to believe anyone is above him. A pretty neat system, all in all.
@Anonymous- I find it easy to believe that Barry ignored the intelligence reports. Foreign affairs tend to bore him, and are a distraction from his great purpose of bringing America to its knees.
@Cookie- The Left (and Obama) have been screaming for years that Bush should be responsible for the "bad intelligence" about weapons of mass destruction. So how is it that Barry should have NO responsibility for his intelligence agencies?
@American Cowboy- Clapper has shown some stunning lapses in knowledge and judgement during his tenure. Seriously, there's something wrong with that guy.
@Colby Muenster- The electorate ain't what it used to be. The pinheads and airheads have taken over.
@Anonymouseseses- As I mentioned above, SOME liberal woman on Facebook got pretty bent out of shape about the Clinton cartoon. And seriously, WHY do the same women who voted for Obama believing there's a "War on Women" also love Bill Clinton, who is a liar, a cheat, a serial abuser of women, and a rapist?
I'd say they were just effing stupid, but I don't want to sound sexist.
@DougM- (Who keeps the conservative laughs and commentary coming over at Sondrakistan.com) I hadn't deliberately made the choice of our "coffee couple" to coincide with this great day, but I'm glad that it worked out appropriately!
@Grumpy Curmudgeon- Only now, despite having the largest and most sophisticated intelligence gathering agencies in history, Obama claims ignorance of everything until he "catches it on the news."
Again, his alibi for ignorance.
@PRY- Very, very important to remember.
@Judi King- Counseling? He needs Hannibal Lecter's old prison cell.
Great posts today; @Stilton and all our fellow Hope n' Changelings!
ReplyDeleteRead a quote by M.L.K. the other day that fits Oislamicescusemaker to a tee: "He who passively accepts evil, is as much involved in it as he who helps perpetrate it".
Well said, Reverend King.
Oh,and; I was going to send a gift for Hagglery Rodwilter Curmudgeon's new Grand-daughter, but I couldn't find a pants suit in newborn size at Babies r Us.
How in HELL would Øblameya know if intelligence on ISIS was lacking when he didn't even go to the briefings?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2014/09/29/Report-Obama-Has-Missed-Over-Half-His-Second-Term-Daily-Intel-Briefings
This is beyond despicable!!
@David in SoCal- New parents can always use a package of Handi-wipes. As can the baby's grandfather.
ReplyDelete@Geoff King- Obama skipping MOST intelligence briefings is despicable, but it sure as hell isn't news. Here's a "shocking" article about it from 2012 - but Barry never changed his ways, no one held him accountable, and now ISIS is a monster.
Imagine, if you will, it's 2006 and the WaPo just printed an article about "W" skipping half of his scheduled national security briefings to go golfing, or to go on lavish, multi-million dollar, 17 day vacations to Hawaii, with Laura flying in seperately... Just imagine it. All the "We invent our own news" alphabet networks would STILL be talking about it!
ReplyDeleteSorry Stilton, but the link you supplied from 2012 no longer exists. I must admit that I foolishly believed that Øhsheet actually listened to his high paid and extremely professional advisors but simply chose to ignore them. I did not realize that the only advisor he evidently listens to is a Golf Pro.....We are so screwed.
