In a rare admission of failure, White House spokesweasel Josh Earnest conceded that the administration made a mistake by not sending any high-profile official to the anti-terror solidarity rally in France, which caused people around the world to wonder just whose side Barack Obama is on.
Happily, any confusion was cleared up on Wednesday when, just after Al-Qaeda's branch in Yemen took credit for the bloody Charlie Hebdo terror strikes in Paris, the Obama administration announced that they were releasing five Yemeni terror suspects from Gitmo.
For those of you keeping score at home, this means the radical Islamic terrorists lost three players in Paris last week but picked up five players from Barry this week - putting them ahead on the scoreboard by two.
When asked about the seemingly insane timing of the prisoner release, Barack Obama said...well, he didn't say anything, because he's not letting anyone get close enough to ask questions.
Besides, he's far too busy trotting around the country pushing free community college and free high speed Internet to talk about his newly-free terrorists.

Unfortunately, the Criminal Justice Act of 1990 did away with the death penalty for traitors, leaving life in prison as the maximum penalty. There is absolutely no doubt that Øbama has repeatedly given aid and comfort to the enemy. As that makes him the enemy, there is also no doubt that congress is also guilty of treason for allowing him to continue.

well before he was elected the first time, Obama made me nervous. he has not disappointed me in that regard. I had a LOT of questions that were, at the time, unanswered. I think what scared me the most was his swift rise to prominence and there was NO paper trail. well, now I am scared because I know much more about him. some by what he has said and some by what he has avoided saying. there are those among us who still believe him. there is no helping those people. there are those who think that he is over his head and just doesn't know what he is doing. to those I say he knows EXACTLY what he is doing. he was raised by communists / socialists and he learned his lessons quite well. the last group of people already had him figured out.

Let's see, by all testimony and statements to the press, the remaining prisoners who were captured on the battlefield are rated/considered the worst of the worst (and at least five are considered so bad the opinion is that they should never be released back into civilization). So 'ol Barry the Magififunt releases five more back to the loving and secure care of Oman - next door neighbor of Yemen.
ReplyDeleteNow, the last five that were traded (snick, snick) for Sgt Bug-Out Bergdahl seem to have disappeared - oh, the ankle bracelets and the constant surveillance, that was just a misunderstanding - they're free to walk about and we have their word they'll never take part in anything violent. Is it me or does this reek of trying to undermine the security of the nation for a political promise? No wonder that is ratings with the military have crashed through the bottom.
We have all seen the 'Wounded Warrior Project' type ads referring to the high suicide rate among returning Iraq/Afgan war veterans. No one kept track because most of the severe depression suffered by the troops returning from Vietnam was just written off by the VA as not connected - but I can testify that there was one hell of a lot of them that never got help from the VA - probably in truth, about the same number as now. In every case point, the parallels between the Vietnam War and what 'ol Barry has done in the management of the Iraq/Afgan war should be ringing warning bells. The troops returning are coming back to a lousy economy were they can't find jobs, the VA treats them like dirt, the politicians give them lip service then promptly disappear, the DOJ wants to prosecute them all as war criminals, and 'ol Barry's denial of the generals request for troops and his deadly ROE's have given us the predicted 2000+ casualties (remember the General who predicted this? No? His relief of Command made the headlines for a very short time before it and he was buried)
Another random thought that has snuck in the backdoor of my feeble mind - a Muslim that gives up his religion is considered an apostate and (per the Koran) should be killed for the affront to Allah. Ol Barry was raised in a Muslim culture, attended a Muslim school while in Indonesia (that only Muslims could attend), and is now (per his announcement) a Christian - though his church going record (not counting Rev. Wright) has been sparse, ergo, if everything is as it has been made to seem, then Barry is an apostate - why has nothing been mentioned in the vast Islamic press whom I'm sure IS NOT listening to Josh Earnest's reassurances.

For a long, long time the notion that the timing of Dear Leader's horrendous, insane actions was due simply to being incredibly tone deaf, or due to the amateur and underachieving nature of his staff has been indefensible. He is always poking a finger in the collective eye of the nation, and in this instance of the entire western world. Is there any doubt who's side he is on?

Yes, the prisoners in Gitmo are "the worst of the worst," but the latest five to be turned loose were the best of the worst. And of course, now that they're gone, the five prisoners behind them in line will be the best of the worst. And so on and so on until Gitmo is as empty as a presidential promise.
Excellent summary of what Barry's policies are doing to our veterans. I can't add a thing, other than it saddens and angers me at the same time.
Regarding Barry being an apostate, don't count on it. Islam teaches and endorses the practice of "al Taqiyya," bald-faced lying to advance Islam. So Barry claiming to be a Christian doesn't mean he's not a Muslim, especially since there is (ahem) "not a smidgen" of evidence that he's truly Christian.
@TrickyRicky- I think Barry has run out the clock on the simple "stupidity" defense for his actions. No, what he's doing is absolutely intentional.
@Colby Muenster- ABC gave 16 whole seconds to the Gitmo release. NBC and CBS didn't mention it at all.

Although he has made concessions along the way to satisfy the liberal media, he actually appears to give a damn about our country. Although he will run as a Republican, he already has my Libertarian vote. Acorns do not fall far from the tree, and his father Ron has my utmost respect. That, and Rand actually has the "acorns" to call out and challenge the entrenched establishment.

Today, if any public figure in the US merely suggest that they're not fans of "gay marriage", the alphabets deploy and the media dutifully reports. But if you're in the middle-east, or even now Europe, executions don't get nary a peep.
I've long observed that on the "hierarchy of Progressive values", nothing seems to top "pacifism", even if meaning remaining a pacifist inevitably means slavery, or worse. In other words, when push-comes-to-shove, the Progressive elite class will happily be shoving the Jews, gays, non-submissive "bossy women" and every other supposedly "special interest" group under the bus, in the hopes that the aggressor will be worn out by the time they're at the front of the line. They Jews are now facing that very reality in France, and everywhere else in Europe today. The only question is if the rest of these supposedly special groups are going to figure out that sooner or later they'll be sacrificed in the name of "peace" before it's too late for them, and everyone else.

Well, for one thing, as a Christian, I've spent an entire lifetime watching my faith get dumped on by both the elite and mainstream establishment. Over that lifetime, it has never dawned on me that the answer to that disrespect should be violence and political assassination. This is for several reasons, the main ones being that doing so would be completely contrary to the teachings of Christ, but the more relevant one here would be for the respect of "free speech". There would be no western civilization without it. At the end of the day, my faith can withstand anything establishment leftist morons throw at it. And I certainly know that God can. It's a shame that the Islamic goons do not feel the same. That they feel Mohammad is so fragile that he cannot withstand any form of critique is telling as to how they really think (or do not think) of their own religion. This is one element that turns Islam into less of a religion and more of a political movement that needs to be addressed, and addressed freely.
