In a rare admission of failure, White House spokesweasel Josh Earnest conceded that the administration made a mistake by not sending any high-profile official to the anti-terror solidarity rally in France, which caused people around the world to wonder just whose side Barack Obama is on.
Happily, any confusion was cleared up on Wednesday when, just after Al-Qaeda's branch in Yemen took credit for the bloody Charlie Hebdo terror strikes in Paris, the Obama administration announced that they were releasing five Yemeni terror suspects from Gitmo.
For those of you keeping score at home, this means the radical Islamic terrorists lost three players in Paris last week but picked up five players from Barry this week - putting them ahead on the scoreboard by two.
When asked about the seemingly insane timing of the prisoner release, Barack Obama said...well, he didn't say anything, because he's not letting anyone get close enough to ask questions.
Besides, he's far too busy trotting around the country pushing free community college and free high speed Internet to talk about his newly-free terrorists.
Time for a Hail Mary?
BONUS: Je Sweet Baby James
No, we're not making this up...
I say, let's send them LAMONT! He's playing for their team ANYWAY! (Maybe he'll have to explain his leaving the faith when he married a Wookiee!) Anyone who doesn't know which team lamont is ON is JUST not paying ATTENTION!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this site! Thank You, Thank You! I was thinking to myself this afternoon that the Terrorists were up by two...and you demonstrated it so well! I admire you so much for putting humor and graphics to so many of my thoughts. I look forward to every one of your posts. Again, Thank You!
ReplyDeleteArticle III, Section 3 of the Constitution defines treason as giving aid or comfort to the enemies of the United States. Unfortunately, the Criminal Justice Act of 1990 did away with the death penalty for traitors, leaving life in prison as the maximum penalty. There is absolutely no doubt that Ă˜bama has repeatedly given aid and comfort to the enemy. As that makes him the enemy, there is also no doubt that congress is also guilty of treason for allowing him to continue.
ReplyDeleteThe entire lot of them should be transferred to Gitmo.
well before he was elected the first time, Obama made me nervous. he has not disappointed me in that regard. I had a LOT of questions that were, at the time, unanswered. I think what scared me the most was his swift rise to prominence and there was NO paper trail. well, now I am scared because I know much more about him. some by what he has said and some by what he has avoided saying. there are those among us who still believe him. there is no helping those people. there are those who think that he is over his head and just doesn't know what he is doing. to those I say he knows EXACTLY what he is doing. he was raised by communists / socialists and he learned his lessons quite well. the last group of people already had him figured out.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how this will turn out. what I do know is that things are gonna get real hairy real fast when things start to happen. this president has so much to trash our Constitution that the country seems to be heading for a "course correction". I pray that we can do this from the ballot box. I fear that we might end up with the bullet box. either way, it will be a long, painful process!
May G-D have mercy on us and guide us!
Let's see, by all testimony and statements to the press, the remaining prisoners who were captured on the battlefield are rated/considered the worst of the worst (and at least five are considered so bad the opinion is that they should never be released back into civilization). So 'ol Barry the Magififunt releases five more back to the loving and secure care of Oman - next door neighbor of Yemen.
ReplyDeleteNow, the last five that were traded (snick, snick) for Sgt Bug-Out Bergdahl seem to have disappeared - oh, the ankle bracelets and the constant surveillance, that was just a misunderstanding - they're free to walk about and we have their word they'll never take part in anything violent. Is it me or does this reek of trying to undermine the security of the nation for a political promise? No wonder that is ratings with the military have crashed through the bottom.
We have all seen the 'Wounded Warrior Project' type ads referring to the high suicide rate among returning Iraq/Afgan war veterans. No one kept track because most of the severe depression suffered by the troops returning from Vietnam was just written off by the VA as not connected - but I can testify that there was one hell of a lot of them that never got help from the VA - probably in truth, about the same number as now. In every case point, the parallels between the Vietnam War and what 'ol Barry has done in the management of the Iraq/Afgan war should be ringing warning bells. The troops returning are coming back to a lousy economy were they can't find jobs, the VA treats them like dirt, the politicians give them lip service then promptly disappear, the DOJ wants to prosecute them all as war criminals, and 'ol Barry's denial of the generals request for troops and his deadly ROE's have given us the predicted 2000+ casualties (remember the General who predicted this? No? His relief of Command made the headlines for a very short time before it and he was buried)
Another random thought that has snuck in the backdoor of my feeble mind - a Muslim that gives up his religion is considered an apostate and (per the Koran) should be killed for the affront to Allah. Ol Barry was raised in a Muslim culture, attended a Muslim school while in Indonesia (that only Muslims could attend), and is now (per his announcement) a Christian - though his church going record (not counting Rev. Wright) has been sparse, ergo, if everything is as it has been made to seem, then Barry is an apostate - why has nothing been mentioned in the vast Islamic press whom I'm sure IS NOT listening to Josh Earnest's reassurances.
Stilton, fellow commentors - forgive my rant...
For a long, long time the notion that the timing of Dear Leader's horrendous, insane actions was due simply to being incredibly tone deaf, or due to the amateur and underachieving nature of his staff has been indefensible. He is always poking a finger in the collective eye of the nation, and in this instance of the entire western world. Is there any doubt who's side he is on?
ReplyDeleteBoy, O'Liar is going to be really sorry when the media gets hold of THIS story!
ReplyDelete...right...
Try to imagine Harry Truman releasing captured Nazi's during WW2. "Boys and girls, can you spell 'impeachment?'"
I hope and pray that the European citizenry and media latch on to this and raise holy hell because Lord knows ours won't.
What Colby said...
ReplyDelete@Bruce Bleu- Barry might actually want to go over there, because he's heard that the men can play 18 holes every day. Granted, he's confusing golf with polygamy...
ReplyDelete@Anonymous- Glad that we're in synch!
@Geoff King- Careful what you wish for; if Obama is sentenced to "life in prison" his last executive order will be to declare 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue a federal prison.
@Grumpy Curmudgeon- No need to "forgive (your) rant" as it was a great one. Commenting on your points in order...
Yes, the prisoners in Gitmo are "the worst of the worst," but the latest five to be turned loose were the best of the worst. And of course, now that they're gone, the five prisoners behind them in line will be the best of the worst. And so on and so on until Gitmo is as empty as a presidential promise.
Excellent summary of what Barry's policies are doing to our veterans. I can't add a thing, other than it saddens and angers me at the same time.
Regarding Barry being an apostate, don't count on it. Islam teaches and endorses the practice of "al Taqiyya," bald-faced lying to advance Islam. So Barry claiming to be a Christian doesn't mean he's not a Muslim, especially since there is (ahem) "not a smidgen" of evidence that he's truly Christian.
@TrickyRicky- I think Barry has run out the clock on the simple "stupidity" defense for his actions. No, what he's doing is absolutely intentional.
@Colby Muenster- ABC gave 16 whole seconds to the Gitmo release. NBC and CBS didn't mention it at all.
I haven't seen the European media yet, but I hope they're outraged.
"2-4-6-8 who do we assassinate?"
ReplyDeleteOh my, Doc, that's rich. The religion of (human) piece(s). Honestly, I don't know why Islam cannot fess up that they have a violence problem. There are plenty of Christians, albeit on the left - the side I have zero respect for - who are more than happy to say that Christianity has a problem. Now, in fact, whatever problems Christianity had we quite some time ago but you know those party animals on the left - always fighting the last war. The new one?
"Infidels!" Sounds like our president.
Hey did y'all see this?
Wow my editing went south a bit with that John Kerry thing ...
ReplyDeleteWas:
"Now, in fact, whatever problems Christianity had we quite some time ago ..."
Should read:
"Now, in fact, whatever problems Christianity had was quite some time ago... "
@Colby Muenster,
ReplyDeleteAccording to our bonafide conservative leadership in the House and Senate, I believe impeachment is spelled "nevergonnahappennotonourwatch."
Why didn’t John Kerry just hold a boombox over his head outside of the French embassy and play some Peter Gabriel?
ReplyDelete"...if everything is as it has been made to seem, then Barry is an apostate..."
ReplyDeleteI call on the muslim world to do its' clear duty in this matter.
I have waited several years now for my belief that Obama was the Enemy to be proven false. Just the opposite. They get real mad when he is compared to Hitler...so...in my view, he's as evil, conniving, dishonest and predictable as Hitler ever was...just goes to show that Evil continues no matter what.
ReplyDeleteBy the way...who, besides Romney has the stature or name recognition to have a chance of becoming President?
ReplyDeleteIf Barry had a son....
ReplyDeleteWait, he sort of does!
He's just continuing to midwife births to a bunch of them, from out of their nurturing Gitmo womb ("fly, my pretties!") back into the battlefield.
Gosh, makes a parent proud to see a child thrive and prosper so, doesn't it?
"That's my boy!"
Yessirre bob.
Once again Ramirez has got it right:
ReplyDeleteRun, Barry, Run
@txgreg,
ReplyDeleteTo clarify, I meant that Truman would have been impeached. Our fine reprehensitives of today don't have the balls. Hell, they don't even have the cajones to take away the turd's checkbook.
@PRY,
That's easy. Billary. But I understand what you are saying (I think). Romney has an edge if he decides to run. I'll bet there's a lot of head slapping out there... "Damn, I wish I'd voted for Mitt!"
For all you voters out there who stayed at home because Romney wasn't Conservative enough. Thanks a lot, assholes! Let's see.... we can have this guy who's kinda squishy, but fairly Conservative... or we can give the socialist, Muslim ass-kissing golfer wanna-be who spent 10 trillion dollars more than we had four more years.... Hmmm....
Thank you for today's excellent graphics. It's a home run, Stilton!
ReplyDeleteColby's observation about Romney is spot on. When is the hijab cheerleader Sports Illustrated issue coming out?
Stilt, I've noticed the more heinous this administration gets is in direct correlation to the increased brilliance of your cartoons and commentary! Kudos. You sir, are firing on all cylinders. We thank you.
ReplyDeleteI must chime in. A wishy-washy candidate who has repeatedly changed his position on key issues and believes in Magic Underwear is not my idea of a good choice for president. Then there is Jeb. I think that hedge needs trimming.
ReplyDeleteRand Paul, on the other hand, actually seems to have read the Constitution. Although he has made concessions along the way to satisfy the liberal media, he actually appears to give a damn about our country. Although he will run as a Republican, he already has my Libertarian vote. Acorns do not fall far from the tree, and his father Ron has my utmost respect. That, and Rand actually has the "acorns" to call out and challenge the entrenched establishment.
@Colby: I agree, anyone would have been better than the asshole we got in 2012. I say "thanks a lot" to all who allowed that to happen.
ReplyDeleteWhat gets me is when the various special interest alphabets are going to wake up. I'm thinking about the feminists, homosexual advocacy, and even the civil-rights groups. Or is it that they don't even wish to challenge the now obvious-to-everyone notion that they are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Socialist-Democrat party, only to be awakened after the next Republican is elected President?
ReplyDeleteFor example, today we had ISIS executing a couple of homosexuals for the crime of existing by throwing them off a building and then proudly documenting the event on social media. Not a peep from the usual suspects.
Today, if any public figure in the US merely suggest that they're not fans of "gay marriage", the alphabets deploy and the media dutifully reports. But if you're in the middle-east, or even now Europe, executions don't get nary a peep.
I've long observed that on the "hierarchy of Progressive values", nothing seems to top "pacifism", even if meaning remaining a pacifist inevitably means slavery, or worse. In other words, when push-comes-to-shove, the Progressive elite class will happily be shoving the Jews, gays, non-submissive "bossy women" and every other supposedly "special interest" group under the bus, in the hopes that the aggressor will be worn out by the time they're at the front of the line. They Jews are now facing that very reality in France, and everywhere else in Europe today. The only question is if the rest of these supposedly special groups are going to figure out that sooner or later they'll be sacrificed in the name of "peace" before it's too late for them, and everyone else.
Guy goes into a bar, there’s a robot bartender.
ReplyDeleteThe robot says, “What will you have?” The guy says, “Martini.”
The robot brings back the best martini ever and says to the man, “What’s your IQ?”
The guy says, “168.” The robot then proceeds to talk about physics, space exploration and medical technology.
The guy leaves, but he is curious, so he goes back into the bar. The robot bartender says,”What will you have?” The guy says, “Martini.”
Again, the robot makes a great martini, gives it to the man and says, “What’s your IQ?” The guy says, “100.” The robot then starts to talk about NASCAR, Budweiser and John Deere tractors.
The guy leaves, but finds it very interesting, so he thinks he will try it one more time.
He goes back into the bar. The robot says, “What will you have?” The guy says, “Martini,” and the robot brings him another great martini.
The robot then says, “What’s your IQ?”
The guy says, “Uh, about 50.”
The robot leans in real close and says, “So, you still happy you voted for Obama?”
Stolen from the Conservative Tribune...
@Colby and Judi...my point exactly! We can talk issues and policies, but in the final take it's the money and fame that will win what has become just a popularity contest! I do not think Mitt's Mormon beliefs will get in the way at all, except he might require us all to lay in a year's supply of groceries!
ReplyDeleteIn addition to replenishing the other team's players, barry is now leading cheers for them.
ReplyDeleteObama will fight media to protect Islam from critics
I'll second the comments of those criticizing the stay-at-home people who allowed this SCOAMF to be re-elected. Thanks for nothing...
Ugh. So this is what it's come down to; our foreign policy has been reduced to deploying aging hippies from Kerry's vacation-retirement neighborhood to make amends for our failed lead from behindedness agenda. Hey lefties, is this really what you had in mind when you sold everyone on an "International Reset" following Bush?
ReplyDeleteLooks more like a surrender to me.
Yep. Smart Diplomacy, they said. Bush is soooo bush league, they said, dumb even. Ashamed to be an American, they said. Our guy is brilliant they said; so brilliant most can't even comprehend how far in advance he thinks. He becomes so bored by the mere mention of politics he's so smart. Sheesh. Beam me up, I'm all outta hope and the change is all in favor of Chaos.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever read Charlie Hebdo? Do you support the anti-Christian cartoons and commentary they promoted? Why all the outrage?
ReplyDelete@Froaderick Barbarossa- When it comes to religious violence, if I have a choice between having Muslims cut my head off or an elderly Pope bopping me in the nose, I'll take the latter.
ReplyDelete@txGreg- A very safe bet.
@Cat Whisperer- Because he's afraid of John Cusack.
@rickn8or- I applaud your sense of multiculturalism.
@PRY- I actually tried to have an open mind about Barry from the day he was elected. But not so open that my brain fell out - unlike his progressive idol worshipers.
@Chris- Now that you mention it, he does seem to have adopted the Gitmo gang.
@Grumpy Curmudgeon- Ramirez always gets it right.
@Colby Muenster- Mitt isn't my dream candidate, but I'd cut off one of anything I have two of to replace B. Hussein. I actually think Romney would make a decent president. Whether he can make a decent candidate is another story.
@Uncle Dirt- The hijab Sports Illustrated is already on the stands, but even after you've bought it you're not allowed to take it out of the bag.
@George- Thank you for saying so. I don't know that I'm getting funnier, but I'm definitely getting angrier.
@Geoff King- The "magic underwear" you refer to is certainly no weirder than some of the outfits I've seen the first family wear. Personally, I don't care about someone's faith as long as they use it as a motivation to do good.
Rand Paul is interesting and I could easily vote for him. Heck, if he runs against Hillary I'll crawl over broken glass to do so.
@Judi King- The 2012 election was even more dispiriting than 2008. After 4 years of numbnuts, the voters had access to all the information they needed to know he was no good. But they chose to ignore it, causing me to have bad feelings about them and the horses they rode in on.
@John the Econ- There's a lot more noise in the MSM and progressive left about Christian bakeries that won't make cakes for gay weddings than there is about the brutal murder of gays by Islamic zealots.
And don't even start me on where the "war on women" is really happening.
@Grumpy Curmudgeon- I checked on Snopes, and the whole story is 100% true.
@PRY- Actually encouraging a bit of prepper mentality in the general population wouldn't be such a bad thing.
@CenTexTim- I fail to see how Barry could do more to promote Islam than he's been doing.
ReplyDelete@John the Econ- The James Taylor "singing apology" was comedy gold, but also deeply disturbing as an indication of how lame and stupid our foreign policy has become. Yeah, we're pretty much screwed.
@show me one socialist success- Barry is many things. Brilliant ain't one of them.
@Anonymous- I was familiar with Charlie Hebdo in a casual way before the massacre. Their politics couldn't be farther from mine - they were/are hardcore leftists.
But unlike our domestic progressives and leftists (including the prezzy) who fear free speech, I support the free expression of ideas (especially satire) whether I agree with those ideas or not.
Clearly, you're not outraged by cartoonists being gunned down in their offices. Which should cause you to do some soul-searching if you've got one.
@Anonymous, no, Charlie Hebdo has never been on my regular reading list. It's mainly a leftist rag for 3rd-tier intellects, and I don't think they're all that clever. But that's never been the point here.
ReplyDeleteSo indeed. Why the outrage?
Well, for one thing, as a Christian, I've spent an entire lifetime watching my faith get dumped on by both the elite and mainstream establishment. Over that lifetime, it has never dawned on me that the answer to that disrespect should be violence and political assassination. This is for several reasons, the main ones being that doing so would be completely contrary to the teachings of Christ, but the more relevant one here would be for the respect of "free speech". There would be no western civilization without it. At the end of the day, my faith can withstand anything establishment leftist morons throw at it. And I certainly know that God can. It's a shame that the Islamic goons do not feel the same. That they feel Mohammad is so fragile that he cannot withstand any form of critique is telling as to how they really think (or do not think) of their own religion. This is one element that turns Islam into less of a religion and more of a political movement that needs to be addressed, and addressed freely.
@ John the Econ: Perfectly said. Thank you.
