In case you think the cartoon above is the sickest joke you'll hear today, we've got a sad surprise for you. Because following the nightmarish public immolation of a living Jordanian pilot by ISIS terrorists, here's what B. Hussein had to say yesterday at the National Prayer Breakfast...
"Unless we get on our high horse and think (hijacking religion for murderous ends) is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.” And more recently, “in our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”
Again, these were his remarks at the National Effing Prayer Breakfast. A ceremony which, tragically, went uninterrupted by lightning bolts.
BONUS: SCHOOL DAZE
Speaking of appalling religious bigotry and terroristic threats, pro-Palestinian student activists jeered Jewish students at the University of California, Davis and shouted "Allahu Akbar!" at a meeting where the University voted to divest itself of any investments related to Israel. And just in case their message was too subtle, the anti-Israel mob also painted swastikas on a Jewish fraternity house.
For more on the story, we now go to our liberal correspondent...
We'd say that Lucy has a conundrum, only she'd think we were referring to a taxpayer-funded latex birth control device.
BONUS: NBC NIGHTLY NOOSE
And finally, if the stories above make you feel in need of a reality check, just imagine how bad things are at the moment for lying NBC news anchor Brian Williams...
Lie Hard? Great! Yippee-ki-ay, Brian Williams!
ReplyDeleteWhile the Crusades were extremely violent, they were mainly in retaliation for attacks on Christians done first by the Muslims - plus they occurred more than 900 years ago. I think the Statute of Limitations is up on that one.
ReplyDeleteThe Catholic Church has repeatedly apologized for the atrocities done in the name of Christ in the past, and has evolved Christianity into a very peaceful religion. I seriously doubt that Islam will make similar apologies for things such as the fact that ISIS has killed more people in the past two years than were killed during the entire Spanish Inquisition; nor do I believe their religion will ever evolve into anything even remotely peaceful since their holy book calls for the execution of any and all who will not convert to Islam, whereas the Bible does not.
For Ă˜bastard to make the comparision between what happened centuries ago before the Enlightenment and what is happening today is ludicrious. Also, someone should inform him that there would have been no Black slaves had it not been for his beloved Islamic slave traders.
O T
ReplyDeleteWe had the V day talk again, what do want?, you dont have to get me anything, sweetheart. (You damned well better show up with something)
I was given a strong hint that if I gave rocky mozzele 54 bucks to name a star after her (listed in the star registry of course) that I myself might be seeing stars for V-day, at least until I healed.
Just thought I may share this advice.
"The most trusted name in America, brian williams" according to nbc?
ReplyDeletescum sucking, no good, lying, sob is about all I can say as a retired Chief Petty Officer till the meds the VA gave me kick in.
@ Stilton-Stevie Wonder also covered "Light My Fire"....just saying.
ReplyDelete@Geoff King-I have wondered since the sixties when the Black community's affection for Islam surfaced, what the hell they were thinking. Some kind of weird variant of Stockholm Syndrome? Finally, I would say with absolutely no disrespect for the Jordanian whose life ended so horribly, what they did to him is about as close to "Enlightenment" as we will see from these midieval troglodytes.
Funny how these news readers all turn out to be liars and con men. They used to call Walter Cronkite "The Most Trusted Man in America", didn't they?
ReplyDeleteGeoff is correct in saying the Crusades were a belated retaliation, requested by the oppressed, and ordered by the then Pope for the oppression, slavery and conquests done by muslims 1400 years ago. This, and any known inquisition, has nothing to do with the USA, which was unheard of at that time, or any Christians living now. The islamists are doing what they have always done since their inception. As for Williams.....just another liberal liar!
ReplyDeleteobama really is a special kind of stupid, ain't he! To bring up what the Christians did during the Crusades and the Inquisitions ........ Well, that would justify looking up that class bully that used to pick on me 65 years ago in the second grade and do him in. Yeah, that'll work. Better yet, let's just start at Cain and Able. In the words on one of my personal heroes "That'll learn them". Grrrrrrr........
ReplyDeleteNot to pick nits, but while "lest" can sometimes be used in place of "unless", it rarely works well the other way around. I believe the Muslim-in chief said "And lest we get on our high horse ..." which makes more sense than "unless". Or, he muddled the teleprompter-in-chief. Whatever ... it's difficult to understand those who are speaking out of their asses.
ReplyDeleteI find something else he said at the same event even more telling: "We are summoned to push back against those who would distort our religion for their nihilistic ends." What religion is it we need to push back against right now? Hint: islam. And what the heck is this "our" you speak of, because it sure isn't the majority of Americans who don't embrace that nihilistic one. To his credit, if anyone on earth know about nihilism, it's him.
Finally, to once again try to dispel the myth that Islam is a religion ... it is not. It is a totalitarian political system loosely disguised as a religion to assuage the masses while pursuing world domination at the expense of humanity.
Because the King of Jordan vowed to launch airstrikes on ISIS sympathizers where ever they might be found, the secret service had to surround the National Prayer Breakfast with anti-aircraft guns during the President’s speech.
ReplyDeleteMoral relativism is killing us - literally. We are now, thanks to Dear Leader, incapable of calling out what is evil because at points in our past, ancestors did evil things. But that of course implies that Dear Leader is evil.
ReplyDeleteEvil is evil, Dear Leader. And you are evil. But thankfully, the Doc is absolutely hilarious so I am going to forget about it for now and .... and....
Propose to Lefty Lucy!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, so the meds are failing me this morning. So what. She's hot. And a helluva lot funnier than Debbie Downer. Did you see her speech about ethnic purity? Oy my.
Marry Me LL!
See: http://www.gocomics.com/that-is-priceless/ for a take on this.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it kinda make you wonder, what with O's TOTALLY uninformed and biased remarks Thursday at the prayer thing, and now Brian Williams' overactive imagination and dishonesty being put on display...how many despicable and outrageous acts and lies are sill floating around out there!?
ReplyDeleteI do hope one good thing comes of Obama's 'high horse' narrative...that for many who do not realize it, but, we are actually fighting this SAME ideology as they did 1000 years ago, it's the same Islamic idea of world domination, still alive after all this time!
Lefty Lucy strip is great btw! You have captured the millennial spirit so well!
@Cat Whisperer - you owe me a new keyboard... :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Brian Williams lie-fest brings to mind hillary's lie about landing under sniper fire in Bosnia.
Whatever happened to "I cannot tell a lie...?"
If Brian Williams doesn't lose his job, that should be a death knell for the MSM. It sort of puts "Bush Lied, People Died" in a whole new light, doesn't it? Can you imagine if Sean Hannity or any other conservative host did this? The headlines would be at scream level for weeks.
ReplyDeleteAs far as Obama's prayer breakfast speech, words fail me. How can 45% of America support this fool?
@Geoff King,
ReplyDeleteRight you are, but I'll add that O'Liar isn't so much making a comparison as he is justifying the behavior of animals like isis or the taliban (sorry... you scumbags don't deserve capital letters). It both scares me and pisses me off that the farging President of the US really believes we and the rest of the world deserve this barbarism because of the freaking Crusades!
@Tricky Ricky,
Seems to me the whole "Muslim is cool" thing for blacks really took off in the US when a certain really famous world heavyweight boxer "converted" to avoid being shipped off to Viet Nam.
I do not watch NBC, CBS or ABC (except for sports), but I can only imagine the total outrage and endless hours of coverage over the Brian Williams thing (riiiight...). Let me guess. NBC and MSNBC didn't even mention it. ABC, CNN and CBS gave it 8.7 seconds total between the three (people in glass houses and all that). Try and imagine the weeks of non-stop indignation if Shepard Smith was caught in a lie like that.
What you saw on display yesterday at the prayer breakfast was the intellectual disorder known as "multiculturalism". Multiculturalism is at the peak of Progressive values; it trumps nearly all other Progressive causes, including feminism, homosexuality, the environment, academic freedom and Hollywood. The primary tenet of multiculturalism is that since the judgment of any other culture is inherently biased by the observer's culture, then the judgement of any other culture is inherently flawed. Therefore, the only safe and moral option is to accept that no culture is any better or worse than any other. To put icing on the cake, Progressives then logically extend that premise to the assumption that it's western and/or American culture that is the real problem with the world. And since this world outlook frames America as the ultimate arrogant villain, it nicely supports the assumption that all these other cultures would just be better off if we were not around. So even if we do allow ourselves to make a judgment and admit that these other cultures are behaving in depraved manners, it's really our fault for driving them to it.
ReplyDeleteThis is the intellectual world Obama has occupied since birth, and then had reinforced during his elite education where this has long since been taught as gospel. This is why "American Exceptionalism" is anathema to Obama and his fellow Progressive travelers.
So logically, since he assumes that America is flawed and based upon a flawed history, we have no moral basis to harshly judge other people or cultures, even those who see fit to immolate their enemies in cages for show. Hence, modern day jihadism is the inevitable result of the crusades, Jim Crow, our support of Israel, and the color of my mother's eyes.
Of course, to say such silly things at a prayer breakfast is absurd, if not outrageous. After all, the crusades were merely western civilization's response to the Islamic conquest that was literally knocking at Europe's back porch and would have happily proceeded to the Atlantic had it not been answered. And it was Christians who were initially behind the global abolitionist movement both here and abroad, whereas slavery is openly still conducted today in the Islamic world and is supported by the Koran. But again, these are but inconvenient facts that can be overlooked for the sake of multiculturalism.
If there is an upside to this, it is that the other Progressive causes have long since been on a collision course with Multiculturalism. These other groups are slowly starting to realize that there isn't much of a future for them under a caliphate. The only question is if they will wake up in time.
As for what happened at UC-Davis: Again, another display of "multiculturalism" at its finest. Isn't it amazing how tolerant the left becomes of "hate' when it's not coming from privileged white males? Antisemitism isn't just now tolerated on college campuses, but it's actually hip! On today's campus, any student drawing a Charlie Hebdo-like cartoon would be disciplined, if not expelled for doing so. But show up to shout and physically threaten Jews? You get extra credit! It's sick.
ReplyDeleteAs for Lucy, she reminds me of the protesters I met during the '80s. Back then, "South Africa" was the hip target. I recall a rally where a bunch of useless idiots were protesting to get Avery Labels banned from the student bookstore. You see, Avery Labels sold labels in South Africa, and was therefore branded as an evil corporation that was supporting apartheid.
The vast majority of these protesters were young, white women. (There were also a number of proto-pajamaboy types there, whom I suspect were less into the politics than they were into the idea of scoring with easy liberal idiots) A large number of these women walked around with their cans of Diet Coke. Coca Cola also had a large presence in South Africa. In fact, a much larger presence than Avery Labels. So why weren't they protesting and boycotting Coca Cola? When asked, few were comfortable with that question. The most honest answer I got was "You need to pick your targets". Or in other words, "I'll protest something as long as it doesn't affect me personally or otherwise require a change in my life." There's hippie liberalism in a nutshell.
And finally, there's Brian Williams: If there's one thing I recall from my student journalism experience, it's that there are two things a journalist never does: Copy someone else's work and claim it as your own, and make stuff up. Brian Williams basically has done both. TV newsholes happily repeat what others have written, and permit the fantasy that they themselves are responsible. (Except when it goes south) And now he got caught making stuff up.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes this even dumber is that this is 2015, not 1995, when thanks to the Internet, stuff like this can so easily spread about and the collaborated. You'd think a guy at the pinnacle of the TV news biz would know that.
Not that this helps any, but Dan Rather supports Brian. Dan should know about how making stuff up can trash a career. His self-immolated when he tried to October Surprise GWB on the eve of the 2004 election with obviously-faked documents.
In journalism, or any endevour really, at the end of the day, all you truly own is your personal integrity, for which your credibility is supported upon.
If they lie about the small stuff, they'll lie about the big stuff too.
So will Brian survive? Probably. There's a lower standard for those favored by the left on this kind of thing. After all, Hillary claimed to come under fire as well, even though no such thing happened. And the left is already assuming that she'll be our next President.
@Proof- Sounds like there are more "Lie Hard" sequels, too, as Brian's stories about hurricane Katrina are starting to unravel.
ReplyDelete@Geoff King- Good points, all. There's clearly no point to Professor Obama's lecture on religious history other than to draw moral equivalency and suggest that we shouldn't treat the murderous spread of ISIS as any big deal. You know, "a thousand years from now, we'll look back on this and laugh." Despicable.
@REM1875- I always laugh at the statement that your star's name will be included in a registry that is filed with the US Copyright Office, as if that meant anything at all. Still, it's cheaper than buying a diamond...
Regarding Brian Williams, I'm amused by his gaffe but not surprised. Liars all.
@TrickyRicky- True about Stevie Wonder, but Jose Feliciano had a "less cool" factor that appealed to me.
I'm also puzzled by the appeal of Islam to blacks. Next time I'm having brunch with Louis Farrakhan I'll have to ask him about that.
@Bobo the Hobo- Even though I now know more about Cronkite's politics than I wish I did, I have a soft spot for "Uncle Walter" dating back to the 1950's. It was so much easier to be trusting then...
@Judi King- I think Obama knew he was making quite a reach mentioning the Crusades (although I'm sure it connected with his Muslim supporters worldwide), which is why he had to update the hatefulness of Christianity (oh, sorry, "those acting in the name of Christ") by connecting it with slavery and racial oppression.
@Chuck Baker- I think the actual transcript said "unless." Lest I read it wrong (grin).
And B. Hussein's reference to "our" religion really is interesting. Unless there's a hotbed of beheading, arsonist Christians terrorizing the world somewhere, he had to be referring to Islam.
@Cat Whisperer- You may be on to something there...
@Dodger Blues- I agree that moral relativism is killing us. When radical Islamists set a man ablaze, it's really NOT a great time to start bitching about the Spanish Inquisition. And by the way, I'd love (hate?) to see some "man on the street" interviews with Dems (or young people in general) being asked what the Crusades and Inquisition even were.
Regarding your designs on Lefty Lucy, I'm guessing she might prove to be high maintenance.
@Sam L- Brian Williams is currently the gift that keeps on giving.
@PRY- The older I get, the less I believe of what appears in the media. Any media. Too many people are telling too many lies.
@CenTexTim- I immediately thought of Hillary's "sniper fire" lies when I heard the Brian Williams story. These a-holes are shameless.
@Shelly- But Williams didn't lie, he "misremembered." Because it's so easy to be hazy about whether or not you were aboard a freaking helicopter when it was downed by a rocket propelled grenade.
I doubt that Williams will pay any professional price for this.
@Colby Muenster- I agree; the effect of Obama's prayer breakfast comments essentially gives aid and comfort to radical Islam. Hell, he might as well have said that ISIS is simply our Christian Crusader Chickens coming home to roost.
@John the Econ- Great remarks, as always.
Looks like Brian Williams has replaced the dancing sharks as the "meme of the week".
ReplyDeleteA last note on Brian Williams: I did catch is mea culpa the other day, and this Clintonesqe phrase caught my attention:
ReplyDelete"I am questioning my memories"
In Stars and Strips, he elaborated:
"I would not have chosen to make this mistake. I don't know what screwed up in my mind that caused me to conflate one aircraft [that actually did get fired upon] with another."
Seriously? Is the typical MSM leftist's grasp on reality really that fragile? These are the people we rely upon to give us the news?
You don't have to have a PHD in psychology to understand that when people do things supposedly not by choice, that is, in fact, their character. Thanks to his candor, we just learned a lot about Brian Williams.
It was a God fearing Republican who freed the slaves.
ReplyDeleteIt was southern dems who came up with the KKK. Funny how Dear Leader won't throw stones at that glass house.
I weep for my children's future.
One of my sons calls the major network evening TV news broadcasts: 4 Victims & a Puppy. If that's original I'm proud of him. It's pretty accurate.
ReplyDeleteAn area I'd like to know more about is: How exactly and by whom do all these supposedly competing media outlets get the same stories, usually in the same priority, and often using the same words? It's worse than a sailboat race.
I've said it before ..... the Crusaders' swords did not cut NEAR deep enough! that Obama would use the Crusades as justification for what happens now just proves that he will go to any lengths to justify Islamic barbarism.
ReplyDeleteStilty: Thanks once again for cracking my ass, and raising my BP; all at the same time!
ReplyDeleteChuck Baker: "Finally, to once again try to dispel the myth that Islam is a religion ... it is not. It is a totalitarian political system loosely disguised as a religion to assuage the masses while pursuing world domination at the expense of humanity." Maybe you could have this quote embroidered on Omuslim's prayer rug, so he could read it 5 times a day.
@All: In defense of Brian Williams: I'll NEVER forget the times we spent in service together; especially while we were on Tantuin, battling the Cossack Ninjya Nazi's at the Battle of Creek, Michigan. Had it not been for the Laser Guided .69 calibre Minie Ball Muskets(LGMBM69's) manned by 1st. Lt General 2nd Class Williams on that CH37 Mojave Helo that fateful day; I would have not been here to embellish on that mis-remembered tall tale today.
@John D Econ
ReplyDeleteIn order for dan rather to be able to say anything about lying trashing his career, dan would have to believe he lied. It's apparent he still believes he did nothing wrong and that his firing was totally unjust.
@Colby
I believe cassius clay's conversion to islam had little to do with doctrine as I suspect he had never heard of it before the draft notice and the advice of a lawyer.
Multiculturalism, moral relativism, and the third is situational ethics. These are the three magics that allow feelings to trump logic and facts in a liberal's minds. They along with p c will be the death of us.
ReplyDeleteHow come no one is talking about this little comment:
ReplyDelete"She’s always been an actress. For us, watching her is the family occupation and everybody has to remember it’s acting, no animals were harmed during the filming, and ideally nobody gets hurt."
Brian Williams commenting on his daughter's scene where her back door is lunch for some guy.
Maybe he can use the same excuse for his war stories, er, lies: "Hey, nobody got hurt and no animals were harmed."
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/brian-williams-reacts-to-his-daughters-anilingus-scene-in-last-nights-girls/
Hey Doc - WRT to Lucy and being high maintenance - I suspect there's an app for that. Or not.
ReplyDeleteBTW I saw an opinion posted elsewhere that there were more people killed on 9/11 alone than during the entire Inquisition. Sounds correct though I haven't checked it.
And as for the man, woman, cisgender, transgender, organictofuwidget-in-the-street, those fools can't even name their senators. The average person is utterly ignorant. And the media and the Dems know it.
@REM1875, the Dan Rather episode fascinating, albeit not the list bit surprising. Everyone had long accepted that Dan was a tool of the left. The only surprise was the absurd length he went arguing that the obviously fraudulent letter (written with the default settings and font of the contemporary version of Microsoft Word) was authentic. He even went on to argue that the letter, supposedly written in the early '70s but formatted with computer precision only available to commoners after the '80s was, in fact, written on a typesetting machine then only available in industrial print shops.
ReplyDeleteTo this day, Dan Rather maintains his innocence, arguing that even though the memo itself is problematic, the story behind it is absolutely true. This proves at least one of two possibilities: Dan is a leftist operative and pathological liar, or is just another out-of-touch-with-reality liberal suffering from the "Bush Derangement Syndrome" which was so popular last decade.
It would be like my producing a letter (using the default settings and font of Microsoft Word) stating that Dan Rather and CBS News is and was a corrupt and incompetent organization working as useful idiots for the Democratic party and dating it from the '80s. Sure, the letter is clearly irrelevant, but we can all accept its content as entirely true.
As for the "Three Magics" of "Multiculturalism, moral relativism, institutional ethics", these are the grand hypocrisies of the Progressives. The Progressives love to promote themselves as the ideology of science and cold logic, when, in fact, they are the complete opposite. Dan Rather knows the story is true even in light of obviously faked documents because he "feels" it. Climate scientists know the earth in in peril because they "feel" it, even though they know their own models and data don't match reality. Obama, doesn't know anything, but he sure feels he's right.
@Japheaux, I caught onto the story about Brian Williams daughter a few weeks ago, (long before "Coptergate") and was going to pop that on everyone in the context of "This is the real reason the Muslims hate us. Why are we only working to censor cartoons and Tea Party people?"
Although it's certainly an embarrassment, I almost feel sorry for Williams on this. I mean, what "normal" father wants to see his daughter doing porn, getting her anus getting licked on TV, much less just hearing about it? can't really hold him personally responsible if his daughter wants to do porn, beyond questioning the environment she grew up in that made this all possible.
But perhaps it is his values that were responsible: "For us, watching her is the family occupation and everybody has to remember it’s acting, no animals were harmed during the filming, and ideally nobody gets hurt."
Oh, okay then. I'm okay with my daughter doing porn as long as no animals were involved.
I guess you and I aren't as sophisticated as those big city folk. We'll never understand.
Nor will we this: "I had a couple of days talking to wardrobe and makeup to get ready to rig the thing that I wore for the ass motorboating. It was an engineering achievement! I would manufacture it if more than one person a year needed it. [Laughs] It was so elaborate—it involved Spanx that we cut away and glued down and involved menstrual pads and two of those weird thongs. I’ve had to do scenes like this twice now."
"Ass Motorboating"? Is that what they talk about at the Williams dinner table? Another breakthrough for cable TV! Keep up the good work creative people!
Yes, the "dic" was deliberate and calculated in his inflammatory remarks. He's insane, not stupid. I'm just concerned about the people who listen to and believe him.
ReplyDelete@REM1875
ReplyDeleteGrand slam!
But I admit that I have never heard of "situational ethics" but it makes perfect sense to be included in your slam. When cultures fracture, they die. When morality become slippery (or "relative"), culture dies. And when we adjust our ethics to the situation at hand, we have no ethics by definition.
"When you do not stand for something, then you will fall for anything." - Malcolm X, I believe
And Brian Williams, as a surrogate for the MSM, is a perfect example of your grand slam, REM1875. But just like with Nixon, his sin was that he was caught.
BUSTED!
