But sadly, looking at the wanton destruction in the streets, it's hard not to issue a blanket pronouncement on Freddie, the rioters, the city officials, and the horse they rode in on.
In this whole ugly incident, nothing is more dumbfounding than Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake's reprehensible pre-riot announcement that the job of city police would be to protect the protesters from cars and give space to "those who want to destroy." And destroy they did.
Words fail. But the cartoons keep coming...
Yes, the joke is older than these thieves. Smarter, too. |
At least, this is how the mayor of Baltimore sees it. |
Worst. Renaissance. Fair. Ever. |
They can’t really call this a race riot because much of their law enforcement as well as their local government are not white.
ReplyDeleteOn Monday there are videos of the cops backing up while bricks were being thrown at them. When asked about that they claimed that it was just ‘kids’ so they didn’t want to arrest them. When are people going to learn that a ‘kid’ can kill you just as dead as an adult can. They should have arrested as many of those teenage thugs as possible then make their parents come and bail them out. That monetary loss and the trouble would have got some of those ‘kids’ a good lickin’.
I love the video of the Angry mother
beating her son for participating in Baltimore riots. We need more of this tuff love for all kids of all colors.
Few people interviewed had any idea why they were protesting.
Whatever happened to Freddie Gray, happened before he was placed in the van. In the video clip that I’ve seen it appeared that he was NOT moving his legs. It may have been an accidental injury, but, not getting him some medical care and the cover-up is the crime. We may not know unless they get someone involved to testify what the truth is.
Oops!
ReplyDeleteForgot to add. Another set of great cartoons.
Thanks.
as for that ignunt fool with the tampax, he needs to go back and get some Kotex maxi-pads as well. then he needs to go find some electrical tape. with those items, he should be able to patch up any bullet holes long enough to get to the hospital for some "obamacare". I mean, if you're gonna do stupid stuff where people might shoot at you, be prepared!
ReplyDeletebtw, I like the "luters" cartoon. I enjoy plays on words.
Furguson, Baltimore, and the upcoming Operation Jade Helm appear to all be staged events to usher in Martial Law and the suspension of the Constitution.
ReplyDeleteHere is a very interesting article on the many unanswered questions about the Baltimore riots:
http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/12-unanswered-questions-about-the-baltimore-riots-that-they-dont-want-us-to-ask
Why did the mayor order the cops to stand down and why were so many unmanned police vehicles convieniently parked where "protestors" could destroy them on camera?
I believe we can expect an increase of similar incidents in the coming months until our lord and savior Ømarxist has no choice but to convert our country into a totalitarian police state.
Well, isn't this wonderful, that young black guys don't have a FATHER to "put the beat" on them. Kudos to this woman, who may have this video show up in a child custody hearing. Where were all the OTHER parents "kicking ass" on their little miscreants, (we WERE told it was just kids...) responding to a video about laws being gone. A VIDEO? Where is lamont putting someone in JAIL for this video?
ReplyDeleteI believe that Geoff King's assessment is spot on. It is NOT a matter of IF, but rather WHEN that will happen.
ReplyDeleteThat is why there is now a damned if you do (enforce laws, or defend your person or property), or damned if you don't (let the "protestors" have their say).
Personally, if I am to be damned anyway I will choose to protect myself, my family, and property.
Democrats create the welfare state, effectively removing fathers from homes and destroying the black family, thereby condemning the children to a life of poverty. Then the agitators (Jackson, Sharpton, Holder and Obama) convince them they are victims of the white man (especially Republicans) and in particular the police who are trying to keep the peace. And yet, they keep voting for the people who are to blame for fear of losing their meager sustenance. Their frustration and anger when nothing changes is simmering just below the surface ready to spark at the slightest provocation. We will continue to see more of this senseless destruction until something changes.
ReplyDelete@Joseph ET- I can appreciate the fact that the cops didn't want the PR nightmare of getting physical with (ahem) "children," but allowing them the "space to destroy" was appalling. I don't know how much to trust the reports that the White House was giving instructions to the mayor to hold the cops back, but it seems pretty plausible.
ReplyDelete@George in Houtx- The rioters are lucky that none of them did get shot. Some certainly had it coming.
@Geoff King- I would like answers to those questions raised in the article. Also, as a Texan, I'm not at all happy about Operation Jade Helm. Can't help but wonder at least a little if I'll get a visit during this simulated military invasion of my state.
@Bruce Bleu- "Where are the fathers" is a great, and salient, question. I blame the Left (albeit others deserve blame, too) for a generation of entitled, feral thugs.
@American Cowboy- Of the two choices, I think yours is the way to go.
@Shelly- I totally agree. You're describing the "new plantation," and the Left prides itself on being the "good massah." But slavery is still slavery, and I hope to see it abolished in my lifetime.
It's a sad sad state of affairs indeed. There were probably people out there trying to hold legitimate protests, but were totally eclipsed by the "gimme free shit" crowd. Of course, on the other hand... I just re-read the Constitution, and it clearly states that citizens have the right to "peaceably assemble and uh... burn down CVS Pharmacies." Oh, wait...
ReplyDeleteShame on POS Baltimore Mayor Hyphen-Name for being to chickenshit to stand up to the thugs. But, the citizens of Baltimore elected her, so now they are reaping the rewards.
@Stilton,
It's been years since I heard that old tampon joke. Thanks for the nostalgic chuckle.
@Geoff King,
I pray you are wrong, but fear you are spot on. Why else would the mayor of a major city risk the safety and lives of her citizens, if not for a cause she deems greater? Friggin' scary!
That the left wishes to classify this as another "race riot" is just another glaring example of racism from the people most vocal at pointing out supposed racism in others. Call it "the soft bigotry of low expectations" of the left.
ReplyDeleteAfter all, the vast majority of black citizens in Baltimore were not violent, looting, or committing arson this week. (In fact, many of them could be seen the next morning with brooms to help clean up the mess)
After dark, most of those citizens were hunkered down in their homes just like the white, brown, yellow, or any other shades of citizens of Baltimore, watching what transpired on their TVs with fear, sadness and shame.
It was the shameless that you saw on the streets Monday; many who like with Ferguson, were not even residents of Baltimore. They saw rising star of the Democrat Party, mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake's advertisement of a space for "those who want to destroy." and acted accordingly. Seriously, if you were an amoral thug looking for free stuff and a good time, how could you turn that down? How generous it was of mayor Rawlings-Blake to offer up other people's property to be destroyed in the name of political correctness. (But that's what Progressives do in general, isn't it?)
So we got the spectacle of thugs racing cars directly at police officers, flipping them off, and doing donuts in front of them, and then driving away with absolutely no threat of consequence from authorities.
This was no display of racial strife; it was a simple demonstration of what happens when morality-free people with no compulsion to conform to social norms are given free reign to do as they please without obvious consequence. And they did. That many used their race as an excuse for it all only demonstrated who the real "race traitors" were, by living down to the lowest expectations of those who actually do like to think of blacks as lesser beings.
Very small progress: Sometime in the last few hours BO said when these Baltimore hood kids are using crowbars to break into stores; they're not protesting; they're stealing. Well what do you know! I think that may be the FIRST thing he's honestly said with which I agree. But it's SOMETHING. As the mayor of Las Vegas at the time said during his first campaign: Mr. O is a slow learner.

ReplyDeleteI've thought of a new designation for lamont's tenure as resident of MY White House as a reference to his performance protecting our Constitution and nation... Barry '''m' Enema!
ReplyDeleteYep... can't think of a better illustration of the respect due his regime!
Errata:
ReplyDeleteThe New "N" Word: Earlier this week, the President used the "T" word, "Thug", to describe the Baltimore rioters. I was impressed, because it was a definite improvement over the "could have been my son" meme we got after Micheal Brown.
Be that as it may, there are now no shortage of apologistic pundits not happy about that, going as far as to declare "Thug" as the new "N-Word".
Another example of how the left hijacks and manages language to render effective communications ineffective.
"Riots are the language of the unheard and unnoticed": Seriously? We're living in a world where Al Sharpton gets his own TV show to spread his hate, supposedly on the behalf of the "t***s".
I am a middle-aged white conservative/libertarian. If there's anyone who gets ignored in government and media in the age of Obama, it's me. Does that mean that I am to entitled to trash my community and loot some free drugs and sneakers? I doubt it. Just another example of the "soft bigotry of low expectations" the left has for their constituency, which gets less-soft every day.
Speaking of justifying the unjustifiable: How about this meme? "Broken windows not broken spines". The nonsense that comes out of the mouths of supposedly "enlightened people" that we are supposed to listen to and revere. Again, the soft bigotry gets harder...
"We need more private investors." Sure, let me invest my life savings in a town that offers up private property as a "safe space" for t***s sanctified by apologetic "community organizers". Only government is so foolish.
And finally, the best metaphor back-fire I've heard this week: If we can rebuild Iraq, we can rebuild East Baltimore." But what would be the point? Yeah, we did rebuild Iraq. But what happened to Iraq once the enlightened Progressives pulled the imperialistic oppressors of the US Army out? The same thing that happened in Baltimore when the enlightened Progressives pulled the oppressive police out! The t***s took over the streets, and order was restored only after the Nation of Islam showed up!.
And one non-Baltimoron item: The only certifiable socialist in Congress, Bernie Sanders is running for President. Say what you will about this idiot, he's a true believer, and unlike Obama openly espouses it. So what will Hillary do? She can move further to the left, but will the Progressive wing of the Democratic Socialist Party buy it any more than conservatives will when Hillary shifts back to the right after the nomination is past her? Or will Democrats hold their noses and endorse Hillary because Bernie Sanders has a Vermont snowball's chance in Alabama at winning a nation-wide election?
Your title says it all.
ReplyDeletethug
ReplyDeleteTHəɡ/
noun
1.
a violent person, especially a criminal.
synonyms: ruffian, hooligan, vandal, hoodlum, gangster, villain, criminal; More
2.
historical
a member of a religious organization of robbers and assassins in India. Devotees of the goddess Kali, the Thugs waylaid and strangled their victims, usually travelers, in a ritually prescribed manner. They were suppressed by the British in the 1830s.
What part of that definition is racist? Unless it is East Indians who feel slighted by the term, I fail to see why it should bother other minorities.
Isn't that "a riot", @Geoff King? The irony-impaired politically correct have decided that the term "thug" is now offensive because it refers exclusively to inner-city blacks who riot or otherwise inflict themselves upon civilized society.
ReplyDeleteAgain, just who are the racists here?
Hilary must love the looting and thuggery going on squeezing her out of the spotlight for a while...or maybe not; she mentioned that 'she' is all the repubs have to talk about! I'm still hoping a lot happens the next year or so to bring many people to their senses...I do like the fact that it actually is being mentioned by many news peeps that 'the liberal policies are failing the black community.' Almost spilled my coffee!
