Dealing from the Bottom

Another big f*cking deal, right Mr. Biden?
Barack Hussein Obama took to the airwaves early Tuesday morning to announce that our years of tough, hardball negotiations with Iran have finally paid off in a deal which forces the "Death to America, Death to Israel" terrorism-exporting, always-lying nation to not only pinky-swear that they will stop developing nuclear weapons, but - at the insistence of John "Swiftboat" Kerry - also cross their hearts not to cheat this time.

In return for all this impressive promising, Obama's tough deal has given the Iranians very, very little. All we have to do is remove all economic sanctions from Iran, immediately ship them tens of billions of dollars, allow them to keep feverishly spinning and enriching nuclear materials in their cyclotrons, supply them with additional and more sophisticated cyclotrons, and allow them to continue development of ballistic missiles and weapons systems.

Oh yeah, we also have agreed to let them work on their nuclear hobbies pretty much wherever they want without fear of sudden unwanted inspections, allow them to keep supporting and exporting worldwide terror and calling for the destruction of the U.S. and Israel. Finally, and most importantly,  the United States was required to set up "a really bitching public address system" in Tehran from which Martha & The Vandellas "Dancing in the Streets" is even now playing on an endless loop for the jubilant Iranian people.

Unsurprisingly, our now-former allies in Israel are less enthusiastic about the deal, with one official saying it represents "a historic surrender by the West to the axis of evil headed by Iran."

In response, Obama has assured Israel that "if you like your existence on the map, you can keep it. Period. Case closed!"

There is still at least a possibility that Congress will be able to kill the deal, although the president warns that he will veto any such move. A stance much tougher than any he took with Iran.

But then, the president and Congress aren't on the same side.

  1. This sounds much like the historical 1938 Munich Agreement, a deal signed by then British Prime Minister Arthur Neville Chamberlain that was his appeasement foreign policy conceding the German-speaking Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia to Germany. Upon his return from Germany he waved his paper in the air and proclaimed that he arranged “peace in our time!” Less than a year after the agreement, following continued aggression from Hitler and his invasion of Poland, Europe was plunged into World War II.

I hope history isn’t repeating itself.

  2. How Do You Spell 'Surrender'? O-B-A-M-A!

Regarding their Iranian nuclear deal, Barack Obama and Hanoi John Kerry urge the American public to “trust us.” Which is pretty much what shadowy gents in windowless panel trucks always tell gullible school girls before whisking them away forever. Given the track records of these leftist Boobsey twins, instead of listening to their blarney, we ought to just squirt ’em with pepper spray and dial 911.

  3. @Joseph ET-You are exactly correct. We gave away everything and got absolutely nothing in return. Hitler in 1938 was less openly hostile to the west than these Iranian mullahs are now. This will not end well.

  4. Ah yes berry and john really gave it to iran, smashing their fist with our out stretched jaw, driving our crotch sharply into their knee, smash their wildly kicking foot with our shin, and then bringing our forehead in a smashing blow directly into to their rising knee. We certainly showed them.

  5. So, when Iran nukes Israel, which side do you suppose Ă˜bastard will be on?
What sort of deal will be made when every other Middle Eastern country demands nukes?
Oh well, at least our uranium production can't possibly slip into enemy hands....oh, wait a minute, I forgot Clinton already gave that to Russia. I am sure, if we ask Putin nicely, he won't sell any of it to Iran.

  8. Like all of the above said, "We in a heap of trouble". Our only salvation will be if congress can get a veto proof majority, but I don't see that happening. They need to grow a collective set of balls first. Another scary scenario is Israel (a) becoming real good friends with Russia and (b) because of their intel and readiness they may preempt the situation a la 1979 Iraq. And, if the unthinkable happens and Iran does launch missiles toward Israel, Israel will turn Iran into a 10,000 year desert. 'Nuff said. I feel for my great grand children and beyond. Now, where did I put my 'shine?

  9. A stunning, historic mistake (Barack Hussein Obama) has created at least his second (ACA being the first) stunning, historic mistake.

  10. "But then, the president and Congress aren't on the same side."

Agreed, but I still haven't figured out whose side McConnell and Boehner are on. There used to be a saying, "There are two sides to every argument." but we are now in the era of three, four, five or more sides of everything. Unfortunately, the side of the people and the good of the nation don't figure into any of the equations anymore.

  11. As an added bonus, the agreement calls for us to instruct the Iranians how to secure their nuclear facilities!

    Best Deal Evah!

  12. Yeah, I'm thinkin' that this loser president (and I use that term, president, in only it's legal sense) probably is an escapee from this.

He got it good and hard from his islamic masters apparently, and Lurch was heard around the world squealing like a the pig-dog that he is.

One wonders whose side this president, your presidente, is on?

  13. @ Joseph ET

    Sadly I believe it is.

Unfortunately the average American citizen of today will feel no patriotism and will just fold up in the fetal position on the ground in a pool of their own urine hoping that when the SHTF they won't get a lot on themselves.

  14. Since @American Cowboy mentioned "fetal position" and no one else has mentioned this story yet, please allow me to further ruin your day/week. Planned Parenthood has apparently been caught (blood) red-handed on video admitting that they harvest organs and body parts from some of the babies they kill to raise a little extra cash.

I find myself wondering... If it's nothing but a lump of disposable tissue until after it's been born, how does it have organs and (small) human parts available to sell?

  15. email to GA Senatuhs:

Topic: Swiftboat Kerry & Borderless Obama

not to forget the prescient Hitlery Rodham, of "What difference at this point does it make?"; all fellow senators of your club, btw.

How about a little "fortune telling', Senator?

You Chamberpot Repubs vote down Obama's "Iranian Deal", formerly known as a "Treaty" requiring Obama to get a 2/3 senate approval. Then Obama vetoes it, requiring You to get 2/3 to override, which fails.

Then you wring your hands in campaign style with Lamar and Coker and McCuckold while asking for more money to get more Chamberpot senators so the hand wringing will be more emphatic.

All the while DC is becoming more irrelevant to the people "back home".
GA. hasn't seen more Confederate flags since 1861. CYA.

  16. I've heard it said that Obama is much worse than Chamberlain in capitulation because at least Chamberlain had no idea of the horrors to come. The same is not true of Obama. He knows exactly what he is doing. I heard this morning the people negotiating for France said they felt like they were negotiating against Iran AND the USA, who seemed to be in collaboration. This is just sick. When the first bomb drops on Israel and thus the beginning of WWIII, Obama will be on a beach at his palatial estate in Hawaii, smoking weed and eating shave ice. And, of course, he will blame the Republicans.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Once again, the Obama Administration demonstrates its "It's safer to be our enemy than our friend" foreign policy. What I don't get is all this talk of "Obama's legacy"; Sooner or later, this is going to result in a big, smoking hole in the ground somewhere. Is that really the legacy Obama wants?

This deal looks remarkably similar to the one Bill Clinton signed with North Korea 20 years ago. And how well did that work out? We gave the norks everything they wanted up-front, and after that the norks said, "Sorry", kicked the inspectors out and built their bomb.

@Joseph ET, you are right. Treaties with known belligerents have never worked to the benefit of the non-belligerent.

@American Cowboy, the generation of Pajama Boys we've raised won't even be smart enough to do that.

Meanwhile, I'm listening to Fed Chairwoman Janet Yellen defend their part in our mediocre non-recovery. I'm still sticking with my bet that rates will no be going p as they keep saying come September. There will always be a political reason not to raise them.

I was amused by her comment that the Fed will not be seeking to apply the oppressive rules of Dodd-Frank to "community banks". Good luck with that. What kind of idiot banker is going to believe that they don't have to comply with the law just because one official says "Don't worry about it"? Then, if that banker does anything that annoys anyone within the bureaucracy, the "legal controlling authority" is free to zap them. This is one of the biggest reasons our economy is stagnant. This is how banana republics operate. If enforcement of the law is entirely discretionary based upon the politics of the moment instead of the law, then nobody is safe. If nobody is safe, then commerce is not safe. If commerce is not safe, then people will avoid it. And our economy will retract, as it has. That's why there are more people on welfare, unemployment, or just dropping out since Jimmy Carter.

Oh, and btw, this from my least-favorite economist, Paul Krugman, explaining the popularity of Donald Trump:

"He's a belligerent, loudmouth racist with not an ounce of compassion for less fortunate people... In other words: He's exactly the kind of person the Republican base consists of and identifies with."

Get that folks, just bringing being part of the conservative "base" and bringing up the issue of "illegal immigration" means you're a racist and lack compassion. Once again, this is how the left will be dealing with the issue. The best debate for Progressives is the one that never takes place. So anyone who addresses it in any way that does not include keeping the borders open is a "racist".

During his interview, like most Progressives, Krugman delivered the usual Progressive pablum about how we need to help "the middle class". Again, please, will someone ask Krugman exactly how flooding America with cheap unskilled labor does anything to help the the middle class!

  18. Was just watching a bit of live coverage of O'bummer's 'rally the troops' presser today. Was just hoping, wishing, WANTING someone to stand and ask the question..."Mr. President, can you explain briefly just WHY the U.S. should trust Iran, and to follow up, just WHY IN HELL ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND SHOULD TRUST YOU?!"

    ReplyDelete
  19. @Readers- Fine comments above. I'm not responding point by point just now because I'd probably be repeating what someone else has already said, and moreover I find this whole Iran situation damned frustrating.

Apparently as part of the agreement, the U.S. (and other signatory nations) will help Iran defend their nuclear facilities from sabotage. Let that sink in for a couple of minutes. Theoretically that defense will be limited to consultation and guidance, but now that we're such great chums who's to say that we won't throw in a missile battery or two?

Much like Obamacare and the breakdown of immigration controls, I feel like the Iran deal is metaphorically putting us all at the bottom of an unstoppable avalanche; Barry just gets the initial rocks moving now, but the destruction in a few years (or less?) will be unimaginable.

In the meanwhile, it's clear that it's genuinely Barry's goal to make Iran the dominant player in the Middle East. And it's hard to believe that Iranian-born Valerie Jarrett hasn't played a big role in making this happen.

Still, things could be worse. I could be out of whiskey.

  20. Boy, it feels like deja-vu with this deal:

Obama Echoes Bill Clinton’s North Korea Nuclear Deal Announcement [VIDEO]

"In announcing a nuclear deal with Iran, President Barack Obama echoed many of the same sentiments of another Democratic president announcing a similar deal."

And of course, the North Korea deal was a joke, with the North Koreans getting everything they wanted up front, and then thumbing their noses at the US and building a bomb anyway.

But then we come to find out that one of the architects of today's Iran deal was one of the architects of the North Korea deal:

"Ms. Sherman, the chief American negotiator in the talks with Iran, is the No. 3 official at the State Department, serving as interim deputy secretary since last year as well as undersecretary for political affairs since 2011. She was also involved in the difficult diplomacy of nuclear containment during the Clinton administration, coordinating policy on North Korea from 1997 to 2001, among other assignments."

So no wonder I feel like I've watched this show before. And now that we've sold out to Iran, Ms. Sherman has bigger plans:

"She hasn’t said what she plans to do next, but observers note that she is close to Hillary Clinton, who announced her candidacy for president in April."

So I guess the only difference between Obama foreign policy and Clinton-II foreign policy is that instead of being simply anti-American, it will be simply sold to the highest bidder.

    Time to hit the bottle...

  22. 4 Marines killed in Chattanooga. I'm actually surprised that a US Attorney jumped the gun and stated that authorities would be treating the shooting as an "act of domestic terrorism." No doubt he'll be taken to the woodshed by his superiors this evening.

But please, don't make any snap judgments about this latest incident. Last month we had to endure listening to an endless parade of Progressives who droned on about how all white males in America are really "white privileged" racists whether they knew it or not and are but a single neuron-firing away from losing it and grabbing their guns to go shooting up black churches. This evening, those same Progressives will be lecturing us as to how we should not make any snap judgments about what may have motivated 24-year-old Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez and what transpired in Chattanooga.

But fear not. Joe Biden is on the job and says the United States will get to the bottom of the shootings that killed at the four Marines in Chattanooga. No doubt, the gun made him do it.

    I'll sleep better knowing that.

  25. So, my 25 year old daughter-in-law posted today that she was all giddy and surely gonna fudge her rompers because gas in Hawaii was going to be $2.00 a gallon, as a result of the iran nuke deal....Yup, the millennial mindset reveals it's true self in amazing ways. I mentioned the cheap gas may be a distraction to hide the truth about the 'basket of crap' this 'deal' really is, then asked her if 2 buck gas was more important than iran getting nukes and over 100 billion in frozen assets to buy weapons and fund terrorism worldwide. Her answer?...."But gas is already down to $2.98 here".
The naivete of the younger generation just torques my bolt 'till it snaps.
