What Are You Waiting Fir?!

And he probably said where to put them.
Here at Hope n' Change, we find that we're filled with radiant happiness each time Barack Obama does anything as president for the last time. It's a delightful reminder that his days in office - and our days of misery - are literally numbered.

To that end, we're happy to announce the addition of our new countdown clock which you can find in the top left column of this blog. We fretted briefly over whether it was unseemly and disrespectful to headline the clock as showing "time till the screen door hits Obama's ass," but after further introspection we realized that everything else we might have said would be considerably more unseemly and disrespectful.

Seriously, our constipated nation is waiting anxiously for its electoral enema to kick in so we can be rid of this guy. In fact, it now strikes us that we'd like to be at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue the day Barry makes his final goodbyes, so that we could then blast the sound of a flushing toilet through powerful amplifiers. Perhaps we should start a Kickstarter campaign...

"Initial reports are no survivors at MSNBC..."
We almost (but not quite!) wish that Trump would fire off a few tweets like the one above, just to coax more screams and lamentations from those on the Left. Because we're getting so much enjoyment out of their ongoing suffering.

Then again, he doesn't actually need to toy with the Leftists because they're already losing their minds over his excellent cabinet pics.  A Secretary of Defense who understands military might, wants to avoid war when possible, and values the lives and commitment of our troops? Horrors! A Secretary of Education who actually puts quality education (especially in our inner cities) ahead of protecting teachers unions? Madness!

If there's a connecting theme to Trump's picks to date, it's that he's eschewing the ivory tower academics who claim to be experts in their fields, and instead choosing people who have actually demonstrated significant accomplishment in those fields.

It really is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.

  1. LOVE the time clock! It'll be New Year's Eve all over again when it reaches zero.

  2. Can't wait until the last moving van leaves the White House and the wookie and her mate are gone.

As to Trump. Well, gee. A highly successful businessman who has been known for the last 30 years for his ability to choose successful and dynamic underlings (even to making a tv show about his abilities) is acting like a businessman and not a politician (for the most part.) I love hearing the lamentations of the womyn, women, women-men, women-trans whatever in my little socialist county of otherwise Red-State Florida (Fark Alachua County and the Gosh-Darned University that runs it like a plantation!)

Go Trump! Make the lib heads explode like the zits they are! WHOOOOOOO!

  3. Indeed a happy New Year! At last the libs will get a clue about how PO'd many of us have been for 8 years. Can't wait.
Thanks for getting us through the tribulation.

  4. Stilt, you beat me to it on the clock. However, for those who want a clock for a screensaver, here's a link; http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?p0=263&iso=20170120T00&msg=Time%20left%20until%20Obama%20leaves%20office

And, Mattis is the best Marine to come along (besides me) since Chesty Puller. I couldn't be more pleased on the choice.

  5. Assuming Øyomama actually does leave the White House without first starting a war and declaring Martial Law, we will sti never be rid of him. He now is supposedly contemplating starting his own news media network to further promote his agenda:

  6. News media network? That's what remotes and off buttons are for.

  7. Found this little video on Twitter. It makes me feel good each time I watch it.
Hilarious Trump Christmas Parody “It’s The Most Wonderful Time in 8 Years”

  8. Don't be concerned about your countdown clock. Mine started eight years ago.

  9. Thanks Joseph ET for a most wonderful video. Cheers.

  10. Everybody is always giving poor lamont trouble about being mooselim. There's just a misunderstanding about the number of men named "Daniel", whose shoes are untied, he has smuggled into the White House to play lamont's game of "Ram A Dan"! Not that there's anything wrong with THAT!

  11. Amen, Dr. Jarlsberg!! Hold back the tears of joy for just a little longer...

  12. Thanks for the addition of the clock. I'm always forgetting how long we have left of this 8-year Progressive nightmare, and now have somewhere convenient to look in anticipation of our "electoral enema". (Anxiously awaiting the next opportunity to slip that one into polite conversation...)

The Twitter President: Remember when the media used to laud Obama for being the first techno-savvy President? That notion seems kinda quaint now, doesn't it? Obama may have seemed hip because he had a Blackberry, but it seems that Trump actually knows how to use Twitter to control the news cycle.

As for his picks: He's annoying all the right people.

Meanwhile across the aisle: Seems House Democrats are doubling-down on losers by retaining Nancy Pelosi as their leader. Way to go, Democrats in your efforts to de-connect with the America that just soundly rejected you. If there's anything that middle-America despised more than Obama & Hillary, it's probably Pelosi.

But the insanity doesn't stop there. In order to further their outreach to the extremes of America, the Democrats are actually considering elevating first Muslim congressman and Muslim Brotherhood toady Keith Ellison as leader of the party. Yes, after all the hysteria over unsubstantiated innuendo of Steve Bannon being an closet anti-Semite, they're prepared to elect an honest-to-Allah authentic one to drive the party. Talk about cognitive dissonance.

Speaking of media dissonance: Last week, junk-news site Buzzfeed ran a hit piece about a couple who host a cable network fixer-upper show. They didn't actually interview the couple, or even their network. The whole article was about how the couple are Christian, and attend a church who's pastor isn't particularly fond of "gay marriage". This, they think, is news. At least it is now over 8 years after Obama's famous "spiritual guide" was outed for his less-than-mainstream views.

Either way, now that this is again the barometer by which one is considered fit for public prominence, I'm anxiously waiting for Buzzfeed's exposé on the views of Keith Ellison's spiritual leaders regarding gay marriage. (Burned alive or pushed off buildings) Anxiously, but not holding my breath, anyway.

  13. I still can't tolerate much of the major media new; they're not giving up the biased ways easily. In the same way I call PBS TV during their fund raisers and explain how I do enjoy many of their good programs (music, travel, nature, etc) AND HOW we used to (long ago) but now but I still will not give them any funding whatsoever until the fix the over-the-top liberal bias in their news service.

I also like to see a website of ideas on how to discredit and starve-out all these biased newspapers and networks Then hopefully some changes addressing legality and broadcast licenses in so-called "Journalism" will follow.

  14. I just hope Trump doesn't redecorate the White House to look like what we've seen of his digs in Trump Tower.

On the other hand, it would be nice if he fixed the elevator in the Washington Monument similarly to how he got the ice rink working -- under budget and faster than projected. I know it's a small thing, but people come from all over the country -- heck, all over the world -- to visit our nation's capital and at least we can have the lights on, water running, and elevators working.

@Rod -- and it's maybe time for PBS and NPR to actually be defunded.

  15. Re: "Mad Dog" Mattis

"Confident in his approval by Congress, Mattis has already ordered all military maps to be changed from having a label of “Middle East” to “Free Parking.”

(ok, it's from The Duffel Blog, but it's probably true)

  16. The wait for January 20th is like a kid (me) waiting on December 24th. Meanwhile, the Muslim is still trying to do damage although the court put his O care lawsuit on hold until after the PE Trump inauguration. Then their is that AH Kerry (who served in Viet Nam) punching Israel with a sharp stick. Of course the Muslim is wanting he own news network so he can punch President Trump with a sharp stick several times a day but my question is: he isn't qualified to do anything except read a teleprompter so he is now going to be a talking head journalist? Lord knows he isn't running the country because he isn't capable. Someone is doing all this stuff for him as he is absolutely lost without a script.
Love the clock but make it go faster!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Welllll, speaking of o'nobody, all of his teleprompter scripts come from soros and company. He's the one who's been pulling nobammy's puppet strings all along. So, with his magic news network good 'ole soros will still be writing the script.

  18. Thank you for the countdown clock. I was going to send the one to you that I have had on my bookmarks bar for the last four years (since 2012.) It was always depressing to click on it and see something like 476 more days, or even 220 more days...
Now it is getting fun. Just watch out for Obama's lame duck craziness. (Sidenote: Bill Clinton stayed up for something like 48 hours straight, signing his last minute executive orders that were never thought through--such as lets take a bunch of land in Utah and turn it into national monument---does anyone remember Bruce Babbit?)

Also, so far the appointments have been great. I hope he puts Sarah Palin in as Sec. of the Interior. (Does anyone remember James Watt?) She would be fantastic, and understands the interior. She could make policy while she is cleaning a fish or gutting an elk. If not, put her in charge of the EPA. She understands oil, oil leases, and the overabundance of regulations...

Thanks Mr. Jarlsberg, and PS Happy birthday to your wife !!

  19. Ahhhh... libtard's heads are exploding AGAIN with the nomination of Ben Carson. "He has no qualifications," they whine. Yeah, he's probably a real dumbass, just being a lowly neurosurgeon and all.

I'm trying really hard to not be the "rub your face in it" guy like libs have been for the past eight loooooong years, but I can't help myself. Yes, Trump may fall on his face, but this moment is glorious indeed.

BUCK OFAMA! ...and the horse he rode in on.

Lastly, I would like to thank The Lord my God for Christmas Blessings. O'Liar and that woman who hates her country will be moving out of OUR house January 20. The President, Congress and the Senate are all Republican. The next SCOTUS Judge will NOT be a Libtard. Nancy Pelosi will be as irrelevant as ceiling wax for at least the next two years. Illegal immigrants will actually be treated as criminals, not honored citizens. Political correctness may actually be going away. And Harry Reid will be friggin GONE!

  20. I had a thought and forgot it when posting:
These gals that are giving it up for voting against PE Trump: Are they going to suffer vote fraud and maybe a recount?
Noticed PE Trump won 3084 of 3141 counties in the USA. Did not mention parishes.
Read where Stein did a democrat thing: Paid off her $3M campaign debt from the recount donations. Average ageof Dem leadership is in the seventies. I am glad they are too stupid to learn.

  21. Fun being in a recount state...
Costs for manual recount - $5-6 Million. Jill to pay approx $1M. Guess who picks up the tab for the rest? Yep, got it in one... the fine citizens.

Also, heard on the news this am that 60% of the precincts in Detroit are not 'eligible' for recounting, as the numbers don't match b/n the votes tallied by the machine, and the ballots issued. City clerk offered one possibility that the poll workers are often elderly, and it's a long day, maybe they MEANT to write 643 and actually wrote 634... Ok, maybe... but 60%?
Seems to me those are the ones that NEED to be re-counted...

  22. Think of it this way: The same people who complain that government can't run an honest, transparent and efficient election think that the government can run your health care and otherwise manage your life.

Also consider the absurdity that Jill Stein is spending more money on counting votes for Hillary than she was able to spend on her own campaign.

  23. Found something the mooselim holiday "Ram-a-Dan" has in common with Christmas... CAMELS. Camels transporting the "Wise Guys" to Bethlehem, and for Ram-a-Dan, camels "tying their hooves".

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Pete,
These ridiculous recounts at the behest of Jill Stein are total caca del toro! I could understand it if she was the one who narrowly was defeated, and there as a half assed chance the recount would overturn things, but damn! Even if she is doing it for Hillary (and we all know she is), there is a snowball's chance in hell it will make any difference. And as far as I know, Pennsylvania told her to go pound sand. Without PA, a snowball has a better chance.

Bad news in NC last night. Gov. Pat conceded the governorship to that recycled turd, Roy Pooper. I hope Trump has a place for McCrory in his cabinet! He is a good man.
