There's a certain slow-motion horror in waiting for the Democrats' Sunday vote on the most corrupt, convoluted, and anti-American legislation in history. Imagine if Al Qaeda had announced their attack plans on September 8th, and those of us on the ground were still powerless to do anything but watch as the jets hurtled towards their targets on 9/11.

But not all the jets reached their targets. The passengers on United flight 93 brought their own jet down, rather than let it create destruction and havoc in Washington DC.

So the question now becomes whether or not the Democratic party has heroes like Todd Beamer and the passengers of Flight 93 who believe in this country enough to say "let's roll" and, working from the inside, put an end to the madness.

UPDATE: The vote is over...and the Democratic party produced no heroes. In particular, Bart Stupak failed to impress when he issued his battle cry: "Let's roll...over!"

Freedom of Disinformation Act

While the nation's attention is on the upcoming Healthcare vote, the state of Hawaii is quietly working on a law which would allow them to ignore Freedom of Information Act requests for Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate...and possibly create fines for even making such a request.

The one, and presumably only, person who has seen the alleged long-form document is Dr. Chiyome Fukino, who claims that it shows Barack Obama was "born in Hawaii" and is a "natural-born US citizen."

If we choose to believe that, then we have to ask what IS on the birth certificate that Obama is so desperate to hide? Presumably, it would have to be something on the long-form that is missing from the short-form: the true names and addresses of the parents, the race of the parents, or the stated race of the baby.

If Hawaii gets its way, we'll just have to take it on faith that the man in the Whitehouse is really a natural-born citizen. We'll just never know who the hell he really is.

Flag Waiving

Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, the United States rushed in to help - with money, medicine, and manpower. To date, we've already given over $179 million in humanitarian aid... but Barack Obama has just ordered all U.S. installations to take down their American flags, lest we be seen as an "occupying army" rather than "international partners."

It is patently appalling that a president of the United States would consider our flag to be a symbol of militaristic takeovers and colonialism, especially when serving (to a greater degree than any other nation on Earth) a humanitarian purpose.

Additionally, who would think we'd want to occupy Haiti?! Did Bush and his cronies plant secret explosives causing every building in the country to collapse, as a pretext for us to rush our evil, invading armies in to take over Haiti's great supply of poor, starving people?

No other country giving aid in Haiti has lowered its flag. But then again, no other country has a leader who is offended by their own flag.
