Crass and Curious
In a shockingly candid report from the Department of Justice, we've now learned that the "Fast & Furious" operation wasn't about guns at all. It was about swords - and who would fall on them.
The report names 14 DOJ employees who get varying degrees of blame for giving firearms to drug-dealing murderous maniacs, but makes it very clear that Eric "New Black Panther" Holder had no idea what was going on despite, oddly, being briefed on the operation on more than one occasion.
Having successfully used the non compos mentis defense for Holder, the report places primary responsibility on Jason Weinstein, the deputy assistant attorney general for the Criminal Division, who disputes the findings but is resigning rather than die in a drone attack.
Also faulted was former ATF acting director Kenneth Melson, who retired after the report came out. Because when you make decisions which end up killing hundreds of people including American border agent Brian Terry, the only appropriate punishment is to go fishing and enjoy a cushy retirement package.
But can the many deaths associated with "Fast & Furious" really be attributed to governmental bungling and lack of supervision from Eric Holder and Barack Obama? Of course not!
The fault clearly lies with the dangerously inconsiderate filmmakers behind the "Harold and Kumar" movies, which inflamed sensitive Mexican drug dealers...by making fun of their profit.

This ran on Facebook after Obama's appearance on "Letterman." Liberals hated it. Hated it.

Yawn of a New Day
The mainstream media has eagerly pounced on the "secret Romney video" (cue dramatic music) which goes behind closed doors and reveals the horrible truths about Mitt Romney! Some even touted the shocking revelations as being the end of the Romney campaign.
So what exactly did Mitt tell a room full of conservative donors, anyway?
Did he make sneering remarks about people who cling to their guns and religion, and have a fear of those who are different? Nope, that was Obama. Did he reveal that he'd been a highly-ranked officer in the Ku Klux Klan? Sorry, that was Democrat senator Robert Byrd.
Maybe he admitted tweeting pictures of his genitalia to young girls and...hold it. That was Democrat Anthony Weiner. Hang on, let us check our research list here, sorry for the delay...
(Drowned campaign worker on way to sexual tryst - Teddy Kennedy. Allowed his condo to be used for Gay whorehouse - Barney Frank. Made huge amounts of money investing using inside information - Nancy Pelosi. Shoved a cigar up an intern's hoo-hah then firehosed her blue dress with DNA - Bill Clinton.)
Oh, HERE it is! Here's the scandalous "behind closed doors" secret which the Left finds more shocking and appalling than anything any Democrat has ever said or done! And it is...it is...
"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the President no matter what," said Romney, "Who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. That that's an entitlement, and the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what."
Okay, that part was all factual and boring and inarguably true so the scandal must have been when Mitt said...
"47% of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn't connect. And so my job is not to worry about those people, I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives. What I have to do is convince the 5 to 10 percent in the center that are independent, that are thoughtful."
Hmm, that doesn't seem very scandalous either. In fact, the only way the media is able to make it even sound bad is by playing only the clip which says "my job is not to worry about those people," and then tell the world that Mitt Romney has just declared that if elected president, he won't worry about 47% of Americans. An utter and outright lie, made all the more offensive by the fact that Romney will dedicate himself to rebuilding an economy which will provide jobs and incomes for those people.
Happily, Romney hasn't backed down from anything he said on the "secret tape," saying only that he may not have expressed himself artfully, but that his basic message was accurate - and consistent with what he says in public.
He didn't bother to add "unlike Barack Obama," but after four years, he doesn't really need to.

Monday Menagerie
Readers- As events have been breaking (and burning and rioting) in the Middle East, I've been posting single-panel cartoons and responding to comments over on Facebook. So today I'm getting you caught up with all of those recent entries.
It was either that, or do a cartoon about Obama appearing on Dave Letterman yet again tomorrow, and I just couldn't face the painful reality that we've got a vacuous celebrity of the "famous for being famous" variety instead of a leader in the Whitehouse.
This cartoon was a riff on Friday's Hope n' Change cartoon. Barry just looks too natural in a chicken suit not to use the image again...
And just what ARE those policies of Obama's which assure that he (and we) are actually loved by the Islamic world...?

Unsurprisingly, the MSM is doing everything possible to tell us that these protests and killings aren't about the United States, or Obama's policies or the security failures of Hillary Clinton's State Department...
And just what ARE those policies of Obama's which assure that he (and we) are actually loved by the Islamic world...?
Meanwhile, we think we've figured out why Obama is unable to "connect the dots"...
This next item got quite a bit of negative feedback from various readers who thought I had gone "too far" in including the bodies of our American dead in a political cartoon. And I very nearly agree with them. But it was Obama who turned this solemn occasion into a carefully staged and choreographed campaign event, going so far as to symmetrically park two open hearses on either side of his presidential podium, and drape a huge blue curtain in the background to assure that things would be photogenic. His policies directly contributed to these deaths, as did Hillary Clinton's decision not to increase security at our embassies on 9-effing-11, even after getting warnings of impending attacks. For these two to try to make political points by using the bodies of our dead as props was beyond unspeakable to me.
And let us not forget the mainstream media, without whom none of this would be possible. Remember how they savaged Bush's initial response to attacks on our nation? What would they have said of Bush if he'd reacted like Barack Hussein Obama did? (By the way, this is the cartoon I'm hoping people will share with their liberal friends. Although, to paraphrase Groucho Marx, "Why you've got liberal friends, I'll never know!")
