The Trials of Jobs
Click Cartoon for Larger Size
A new study suggests that the current rate of unemployment may be the "new normal" that will last for many years to come. Unfortunately, the administration is responding with massive taxes and burdens on the business community that discourage job creation (and generally punish employers), while also dismantling free enterprise through control of banks, manufacturers, and soon the health care industry.
Meanwhile, America produces fewer and fewer students who can compete educationally with their overseas counterparts. In Obama's alleged home state of Hawaii, the teachers union has now voted to close schools every Friday as a way to save money...even though the state was already among the nation's worst in educational achievement.
So America...how's that "Hope and Change" thing working out for you?

Democrats are urged not to appear on Fox News...or the magic scale.
ReplyDeleteBuzz, Democrats will only get on the Magic Scale if they can find someone else to put in the penny.
ReplyDeletehey hope and change check out www.marvinstuff.com, some really funny sayings about michigan unemployment. there's one about hope and change
ReplyDeleteOf course the teachers' union is going to vote to give themselves an extra day off work! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSuzy, the teachers had to decide which days they wouldn't be paid for: the ones that were already vacation days for school kids, or the days that the schools would be forced to close without teachers.
ReplyDeleteOf course, the teachers union chose to screw over the kids (and their parents and caregivers) by shortening the school year and taking additional time off for themselves.
So let's make this a "teachable moment," as the president likes to say...and take note of what happens when the government combines unsustainable debt with concessions to unions.
