The Other Slaughter Rule
Click Cartoon for Larger Size
Democratic Representative Bart Stupak, and a handful of other pro-life Democrats, have refused to vote for the Senate's version of Obamacare because it uses taxpayer funds for abortions. Now, Nancy Pelosi has announced that she won't even try to get Stupak and other pro-lifers to vote for the bill. But why?
According to Stupak, the Democratic leadership has crunched the numbers and decided that taxpayer-funded abortion is a necessity, otherwise "more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more."
Ironically, the Democrats who are insisting that some fetuses be terminated to hold down costs, are demanding that the surviving fetuses will eventually be saddled with all the unpaid bills for Obamacare.
Even more ironically, the Democrats hope to push all of this through using "the Slaughter Rule." Rarely has any piece of political chicanery been so accurately named...

Margaret Sanger, founder of Planed Parenthood, wrote a book called A Plan for Peace. Sounds like Democrats have decided to take it literally:
ReplyDelete"Apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is already tainted or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring"

And remember how Gingrich was pilloried for suggesting that some children would be better off in orphanages? Gosh. Better to kill the "undesirables" than risk the chance they might be "indoctrinated" by nuns. What hypocrisy.
ReplyDeleteYou want an abortion? Pay for it out of your pocket and live with your decision. Just say NO to Socialized healthcare and ANY and ALL bills that increase the taxes. We need a 40% reduction in income tax not pay more. Yes to a cashless society so ALL will pay their 10% flat tax that'll take care of your federal and state obligation. NO other taxes of any knd , EVER. If they can't run the government on 10% fromm every one, then shut the SOB down.
ReplyDeleteReaders- Good comments, and I'm particularly glad to see the Margaret Sanger link posted here. Under the guise of "reproductive freedom" and "women's rights," the Democrats are actually - and deliberately - practicing eugenics, to eliminate the people they feel are "undesirables" from the gene pool.
ReplyDeleteAnd here's something else to think about. If the Democrats consider it a "good deal" to fund medical services that terminate a life (rather than pay benefits), how can we possibly believe that they won't also see the financial benefits of denying expensive medical services to the elderly, allowing them to die (and thus, stop receiving benefits).
Euthenasia is the next (and logical, really) step to widespread abortion. Take away one group's right to life and its easy to remove that right from more. If I'm not mistaken, abortion and euthenasia was widespread in Germany BEFORE the holocaust...
ReplyDeleteAnonymous...I'm totally for the 10% flat tax as well! Everyone can afford their fair share. If you only make $10,000 a year, you can pay $1,000 towards keeping the country running. If you make a million, you can pay $100,000. Its really the only FAIR way...no loopholes, no deductions...flat tax. It would be so much easier!
You killed your own argument Suzy. The flat tax is fair and a good idea. The Congress will never go for it. How can they punish those they don't like and reward people for not working and get them to vote Democrat with a fair, flat tax?
ReplyDeleteI wonder when Obama's sequel to the Audacity of Hope, titled Audacity of Ego, comes out. This bill is a disaster. The process is even worse. This is about control of the economy and the citizenry and pleasing the left-wing, socialist contingent of the Democrat party, not health care. If this was about health care, they would have scrapped this bill and started over on a bipartisan bill and made the rest of us happy, or at least left us indifferent.
Suzy, the flat tax is the only way to go as long as it comes with a cashless society so no one can hide their income and any purchase has to be made through rigid encrypted digital identification verified by at least three cross refence databases before the purchase, and the total abolishment of the IRS and ALL it's laws
ReplyDeleteI'll go one even better! Sterilize all liberals and that is cheaper than having to give them abortions every time they forget to take the pill! - Sick of the Obamanation.
