Eat (with) The Rich!
Not content to sit on the sidelines, the Community Organizer In Chief has finally made it official that he stands in solidarity with the anti-capitalist "Occupy Wall Street" movement.
Preparing for his latest bus tour (in which the president actually flies to meet the monolithically black "Darth Bus" so he can be seen getting off for speaking engagements), Barack Obama declared that "the interests of the 99% of Americans (will be) well-represented on the tour!"
Ironically, the president is charging 100% of these campaign appearances to American taxpayers, and a full 30% of that money comes from...you guessed it...the Evil Top 1%.
And just to make sure that there's absolutely no confusion on the subject, Obama granted an interview to ABC News in which he declared "we are on their side." Meaning, pretty clearly, he's sure as hell not on our side.
We'd like to say that it's baffling for the president to associate himself with a group that is threatening violent class warfare, promotes anti-Semitism, is anti-American, defecates on the police, wants the government to give "everything to everybody," and has no idea where jobs or paychecks come from...but it's not baffling in the least. Barack Obama and Occupy Wall Street are as identical as Siamese twins and just as inextricably joined.
Sadly, Hope n' Change believes that Barack Obama will not be satisfied with mere protests, and will continue to stoke the fires until he attains his actual goal: rioting in the streets.
Think it couldn't happen? YouTube has plenty of videos showing OWS speakers calling for violence, Jimmy Hoffa Jr promised the president a unionized "Army" to "take sons of bitches out," and former National Security Advisor (under former "Worst President Ever" Jimmy Carter) Zbigniew Brzezinski is calling for the government to give the public lists of citizens "who make, largely through speculation, enormous amounts of money" in order to "pressure some of those people to give some of it back, back to society."
And what kind of "pressure" would that be, Zbig? The people with "pitchforks" that Obama previously threatened to set on bankers to force them to take bailouts? Molotov cocktails? Or perhaps a trip in a horsedrawn cart to visit Madame Guillotine?
It's frighteningly possible that we're now facing a true Socialist revolution. A revolution stoked and supported by the media, unions, brainwashed youth, leaders of the Democrat party and, of course, our nation's first Socialist president.
For the record, this is how "that Hope and Change thing" is working out for America.

I really wonder who the booger-eatin' moron who wants a "good left-wing military coup" is. What kind of world did this fool grow up in?? Why does he think a coup of any "wing" is a good thing?? Could someone please whack the crap out of this bloomin' idiot??
ReplyDeleteAt first, Obama was hoping the Tea Party movement could be goaded into violence so that he could unleash his grand plan. That didn't happen because it just isn't in the nature of the people who comprise the Tea Party to use violence. They were never interested in destroying a system, just fixing a broken one.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that this OWS movement is happening now is mighty darned convenient, too convenient perhaps, for Turdboy. If this is something of his design, or if he's just co-opting it, it seems a helluva gamble. Most Americans see these smelly, ignorant hippies for what they are...smelly, ignorant hippies. To align yourself with that doesn't give them credibility, it shreds whatever credibility you had left. To me it appears an act of desperation by a desperate fool making a desperate last stand. So many otherwise normal institutions would have to fall in line with this insanity to make it work that I doubt it can work. I may be a Pollyanna, but I don't believe we've fallen that far as a nation yet. Yes, we voted for Turdboy, but that was ignorance and laziness. This requires something darker from our collective consciousness that I don't think exists.
As more and more of this plays out, Hoosier, I wonder if Øbama actually "won" the election by any stretch. We know of the PA voter intimidation via the New Black Panthers. We are aware of the frauds committed ACORN. What don't we know?
ReplyDeleteFrankly, as I watch this all unravel in the propaganda machine that serves as our media, my greatest fear is that this is not happening to coincidence (as I believe there is no such thing), but it is all going to some deviant's plan. And the only instance I'm aware of where a system of government similar to what these unwashed, uneducated, ill-informed morons of OWS advocate was when Austria voted to fall under Hitler's rule. All others within my limited scope of historical review came about via violent revolt. And the levers of those revolts have usually been the ill-informed youth spurred on by "adults" who know exactly who they're manipulating, and where they are moving them to. (Most of these "adults" also were the first to fall when the new regime turned on those who formed them, but that is low consolation for the damage they had inflicted on the population as a whole, and damage that continued on long, long after they received their reward for their efforts...)
Øbama and the socialist Democrats (and many so-called "Republicans" are guilty as well) have put our economy on the brink of ruin through over-regulation, over-taxation, and over-spending. They have fomented discomfort and unrest amongst the people. These forces, with enough rabble rousing can very possibly lead to just the "revolution" we fear most. That the "president" appears to be advocating this and is fanning the flames from the bully-pulpit of the presidency... I cannot understand what keeps him in office at this point. 1st amendment or not, he is inciting the very insurrection he is committed by oath to put down, and is, therefor, derelict in his duty and ripe for impeachment and censure. But nothing happens. Nothing continues to happen. Disgusts me.
AHD - It's called "the Gimmie factor" - "You got it, I want it, GIMMIE!" and has been carefully cultured and encouraged for ages...
ReplyDeleteFortunately, it runs hand in hand w/ the lazy factor, and people who find it difficult to get off their sorry asses to get out and vote. Soros can stipend the protesters to protest all he wants, but directly rewarding people for actually voting is still illegal - this year...
The cool thing about the protest stipends is that SOMEONE has to be controlling that money among them. Where is the call that each of the protesters receive their fair share of that money? Who is going to walk away from the OWS when they finally (God willing) fall apart with a sizable chunk of change?
ReplyDeleteRealization within OWS that someone amongst them is "more equal" than the rest may be the seed of discontent that tears the "organization" apart. Let's watch. And hope...
HEY! When did this site start auto-refreshing? When it does that, it wipes away the post I had just spent 20 minutes writing!!!
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, that bus trip will be mostly paid for by the 70%, the OWS protestors (or at least their parents).
ReplyDeleteThat Obama and the Democrats are starting to embrace the OSW movement is a major gift to the GOP. It’s a repeat of the same mistake they made in the late ‘60s which ultimately cost them the ’72 election. They are attaching themselves to a group of people that will ultimately and effectively disgust the vast majority of Americans right before they head to the polls. And as the Alinskyists drive this rabble to be more liberal, outrageous, and possibly violent, the real “99%” of America will only grow more disgusted, and the stink will remain attached to the Democrats just as it has since the ‘60s. (Remember, it was disgust with the counter-culture that accelerated the political career of Ronald Reagan, and ultimately made his ascendancy to the Presidency possible)
I just saw on the news an unkempt protestor with a sign that said “Eliminate Parasitical Scum”. Can irony possibly be more rich? This clueless socialist boob wants free everything, and he’s calling the workers on Wall Street parasites?
(It’s amusing to see what happens when redistributionists all of a sudden develop a sense of “property rights”: http://hotair.com/archives/2011/10/18/celebrated-redistributionists-discover-healthy-respect-for-private-property/)
Happily, these people are the anti-Tea Party, and it’s not just their ideology that makes them different. They are classless, clueless, sloppy, rude, racist, violent, criminal, just plain crazy, or some combination thereof; everything the liberals and the mainstream media have spent the last 2 years trying to portray the Tea Party as. And no matter how much the mainstream media continues to discredit themselves as they portray each group as the opposite of what they actually are, the more the real “99%” will continue identify with the Tea Party and reject the insanity of the OWS rabble, and the Democrats who have decided to attach themselves to them.
The strategy was brilliant. Dumb down the education system so that people can still read but cannot comprehend. Inculcate an entitlement mindset and mainstream it. Destroy the nuclear family (almost completely successful among black Americans). Foment class envy, prejudice and racism to keep groups separated and sniping at each other. Step in and take over forever.
ReplyDeleteEvil as Satan himself, but brilliant.
@My Dog Brewski
ReplyDeleteAs Joe McCarthy said, if liberals were merely stupid, the laws of probability would dictate that at least some of their decisions would serve America's interests.
re: John the Econ's point "That Obama and the Democrats are starting to embrace the OSW movement is a major gift to the GOP. It’s a repeat of the same mistake they made in the late ‘60s which ultimately cost them the ’72 election."
ReplyDeleteI hope he's right, but, to borrow from Emmentaler Limburger, "as I watch this all unravel in the propaganda machine that serves as our media" I have my doubts. (Quoting and borrowing is much easier than original thought...)
obama and the dems will have a large edge in campaign funds, plus the MSM is in their pocket. And with the possible exception of Herman Cain, I don't see a Ronald Reagan anywhere.
My greatest fear is the Romney wins the nomination, all the steam goes out of the conservative movement, the media spins and protects, and obama's cash and dirty tricks machine prevails.
God, I hope I'm wrong...
@JustaJeepGuy- The young jerk hoping for a military coup had better be careful what he wishes for. Last time I looked, the military wasn't all that keen on parasites who feel neither love nor obligation to our country.
ReplyDelete@Angry Hoosier Dad- I agree that a lot of things (very bad things) would have to fall into place for this "revolution" to gain traction. But these days I lack confidence that "good" will triumph out of any natural order. I wouldn't have believed that only a handful of years after 9/11, our country would elect an anti-American president who calls the Muslim call to prayer the most beautiful sound on Earth. But it happened.
@My Dog Brewski- I not only blame the education system (which is almost entirely broken) but also today's computer cut-and-paste culture for the fact that we've now got a generation that has access to all information, but no ability to process it or reason logically. And like a herd of sheep, they can all be driven by one barking dog.
@John the Econ- First, a tech note. I didn't know the site DID auto-refresh. It might be related to the news widgets in the left column; everything else should pretty much stay the same throughout the day.
Regarding the topic at hand, I hope your analysis is right...but I'm not sure I trust the public to see through the manipulation going on. The many unpleasant truths about Obama were all known (by conservatives) before he was elected, but never got traction. The numbers proving that Obamacare was a boondoggle were similarly available before the bill's passage, but never reached a broad mainstream audience. So I'm hoping, but not confident, that the truth about these protesters will hurt Obama.
By the way, that's why I created the graphic at the bottom of today's commentary, and I encourage people to send it to others, post it on Facebook, or otherwise help get it out there.
@Coon Tasty- I hadn't heard that quote before, and it's wonderful.
@CenTexTim- That propaganda machine you mention is my great fear. If you combine an increasingly ignorant populace with an increasingly pervasive stream of propaganda, it can't end well. But as you say, "God, I hope I'm wrong."
I would think that if it turns truly violent, and Obama stands up in support of the violence, the House of Representatives could quickly vote articles of impeachment (hell, they should be written already, waiting,) and then the Senate called in to try the man -- and let the Democrats either support the violence or not.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, I can be sure that the governors, like Gov Cuomo of NY, will call in the police and the National Guard and mop of these few thousands. I just don't see this breaking out into tens of thousands of people in all the places it would require, and in D.C. too -- and then for the rational elected officials and police forces, and military, even, doing absolutely nothing as the mobs seize the White House and the Capitol and Pentagon or whatever they think it will take to "take over" the nation. Egad, these people are mush heads; and the Dems are going to have egg in their pants, not just on their faces.
Stilton:
ReplyDeleteI promise I won't be the barking dog herding the sheeple along...but I could be. I am half Australian Shepherd in fact. The other half is Husky (Mom said he was just visiting).
@Jim, I love you, man (in a brotherly, platonic manner, mind you). It's rational statements like yours that buoys a sinking faith in ones fellow man, and in what serves as ones government. Good analysis of the potential direction this could go in. Thanks, you're spot on. (though, maybe they could let them overrun DC before stepping in. Just sayin'...)
ReplyDelete@CenTexTim, there's no amount of campaign cash or fawning media whitewashing that can make a OWS movement that goes violent (like they did at the G8 in Seattle) look palatable to middle America. If the Democrats attach themselves to this, they will be setting themselves up for a bumpy ride that will not look good. It will take much more than a "Sister Souljah" to extricate themselves from that, which would likely alienate the other half of their base which they can't afford to lose either.
ReplyDelete@Stilton, yes, the facts we knew about Obama were there for all prior to his election. But those facts could not compete with the mythology that the "hope and change" marketing was able to implant in people's imagination.
This time around, those people will have had lived through several years of Obama reality instead of fantasy. It's now in their face that they didn't get the "change" they thought they were voting for.
Don't recall the level / direction of the violence at G8 in Seattle, when it went from 'protest' to 'riot' - infighting? throwing stuff at police / security? charging fences?
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that people are tossing out OWS 'going violent' in the way that London "protests" did, or those in Italy, or Greece... But something occurs to me - unlike England, Italy or Greece, US shopkeepers tend to be armed, and not likely to wait for cops to show up and 'intervene' if a mob starts playing 'smash and grab'. I suspect violence of a totally different order, and some of these parasites paying a very high price indeed...
Even though polls show people do not want another four years of Obama, I would not be surprised if he is reelected. The "powers that be" would not want the rapid downward slide of America checked by a "conservative" in office. The "Occupy Wall Street" movement (bowel?) could very well grow into major riots, and who will stop B. O. from declaring martial law and even suspending next year's elections?
ReplyDeleteWhen I pressed "preview" the page refreshed and my previously written comments disappeared.
@Karla: Internet Explorer? That's been going on a long time. Try Google Chrome. Doesn't happen with it. Coincidentally, Google owns blogspot.com... (Haven't tried Firefox or Opera here.)
ReplyDelete@Jim Hlavac- You're right about the OWS crowd being muttonheads who couldn't pull off anything too major. But I fret about the unions or other operatives that might be more effective while using OWS for cover. Or "martial law" type steps that Obama might put into place - temporarily of course - to "restore order."
ReplyDelete@My Dog Brewski- Barack Obama identified himself as a "mongrel," so you're in good company. Or maybe it's bad company. Anyway...you've got company.
@John the Econ- Good point; the myth of "Hope and Change" has been thoroughly busted. Rainbows and Unicorns won't float Obama's boat anymore, and "Angry Obama" fails to impress.
@Karla- I would be appalled, but not surprised, to see Obama re-elected. Nor would I be surprised to see craziness occur to make it happen.
Regarding the "refresh" problem, I'll just recommend that you do what I do and copy your comments just before hitting that preview button, just in case something goes wrong. I've had to learn that the hard way.
@Emmentaler- I use Firefox, and I've had the problem a couple of times...but very rarely.
It's interesting to me that in Russia before their revolution, they called their rich the parasites and now some are trying to stick that label on our rich. The true parasites are the welfare queens and princes who don't work and WON'T work, preferring instead to take the workers' tax dollars. I keep hoping that those who work get tired of carrying the welfare parasites and just quit working and quit paying the taxes and MAKE the system collapse. Let's see what the parasites do then. It won't turn out how the socialists/Marxists/communists expect.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I use Firefox and I've never previewed and never had anything disappear. I'm not sure what that says about me...
Time to take up knitting.
ReplyDeleteYeh, guys, this whole thing is no accident, it is totally by design. Who would have thought we would live to see the beginnings of a socialist revolution in America which, if left to continue will destroy your and my homeland. It's gettin serious, folks. As if you didnt already know.
ReplyDeleteI believe Jim is absolutely correct in his analysis, above. No coup or violent revolution is going to happen and any attempt at same would be stomped flat by law enforcement and if necessary the military, so fast it would blind anyone watching without welding goggles. If The One tries to suspend elections in the meantime, using any street violence as an excuse, THEN he will be impeached and the elections will continue. The United States held two free elections during a full-blown civil war. We're perfectly capable of holding them in the midst of some left-wing riots and thuggery. Keep calm and carry on, friends.
ReplyDelete@Doktor Paulie- Thanks for the reassuring perspective!
ReplyDeleteReaders- Check out this youtube video to see a wonderfully talented comedienne pranking the protesters by pretending to be one of them. She's great!
ReplyDeleteStilt...LOL (YouTube)....I dare you to go up and do that...I'll be your personal video-taper if you do! ;-)
ReplyDelete@Jim Hlavac "Meanwhile, I can be sure that the governors, like Gov Cuomo of NY, will call in the police and the National Guard and mop of these few thousands."
ReplyDeleteJim, pray that doesn't happen. as sure as the sun rising tomorrow, some idiot will force a confrontation and cause another Kent State-style tragedy. The people backing this demonstration, Soros, Obama and company, don't really give a damn about these poor, stupid fools and if one of them gets killed, fine, as long as it advances their agenda. Much better to ignore them and wait and let the winter weather put an end to their ridiculous behavior.
@Suzy- I'd certainly consider it, and I think I could pull it off. I've got a ponytail that makes people think I'm an aging liberal hippy, instead of an aging conservative who's too cheap to get haircuts.
ReplyDelete@Gray lady- Recently, one of the supporters of the OWS protesters said that they really need a "Kent State" type event to kick their movement into overdrive. Like you, I'd rather see them just go home when they start getting frostbite which prevents them from participating in drum circles.
Hmmmm... Crosby, Stills & Nash (or was it CSN& Y?) blamed Nixon for Kent State, rather than James A. Rhodes, Ohio's then-governor. Nixon didn't call out the National Guard. On whom would they blame any deaths if someone were to die in NYC? Would they go out of their way to avoid blaming Duh Won?
ReplyDeleteJustaJeepGuy:
ReplyDeleteYou know Turdboy wouldn't get the blame. I'm thinking they'd find a way to pin it on Christie. He's fat (= corporate loving), Republican, argues with the unions that support OWS and he's right across the river in New Jersey, so he's close enough. And what New Yorker doesn't love to hate Jersey?
But you are right. They'd be delighted to sacrifice someone's idiot offspring for the cause (as long as it isn't their spawn).
JustaJeepGuy - I gotta believe they'd find a way to blame "da Jooooos"
ReplyDelete@Suzy: I don't know. I think the "protesters" would eat his wheel of cheese, exposing him to all.
ReplyDelete@Stilton: that was Little Donny Deutsch - a MSNBC pundit who called for a "Kent State Moment". Mark Levin kinda went off on him the other night. It was beautiful, in an aggressive, Mark Levin sorta way. (THAT'S RIGHT! I SAID it!)
My version of OWS? Out With Socialists. I'm also participating in OWO (Out With Øbama) and OWL (Out With Liberals). Join me. Chant quietly in your own home. Converse pleasantly with your friends, family, and neighbors on the subject. Keep your job (if you have one), or keep seeking a new one, even if you know there's nothing out there - it helps screw up Øbama's statistics. Instead of "hand twinkles", we'll use lever twinkles or chad twinkles in the voting box to voice our approval or disapproval - and hopefully, we'll speak with one, unified, LOUD and impossible to ignore voice...
Readers- Regarding a "Kent State" moment, I think the closest thing we could get is some protester kicked in the head by a cop's horse when it mistakes a sloppily grease-painted dollar sign for a snake.
ReplyDelete@Emmentaler- Levin's anger can be a thing of beauty. And I like your new groups that encourage "Out With Socialists, Obama, and Liberals." Perhaps we should just lump those groups together under the acronym "SOL." No wait...that one is already being used.
I guess the left has totally forgotten how they got on their high horse about "civility" after the Giffords shooting earlier this year. Now we've got leftist media celebs going on about riots, lynchings, and even "the return of the guillotine".
ReplyDeleteOnce again, contrast this to the Tea Party movement, where a confused left was forced to just make stuff up to discredit it.
It's just another fine example of how the OWS movement is anything but "democratic". Ultimately, after the complete and utter failure of the most Progressive congress and administration in the history of America, the left ultimately has only violence left in its arsenal in order to forward its morally and fiscally bankrupt agenda.
@John the Econ- Yes, we've come a long way from Barack Obama's impassioned plea to use "words that heal, not wound" to Joe Biden saying he wishes stimulus critics would know what it feels like to be held at gunpoint or raped.
ReplyDeleteAnd frankly, Joe, the 53% already know what those things feel like.
John the Econ:
ReplyDeleteWhat's frightening is that the left has no compunction about using violence to achieve their ends. After all, it justifies the means. The bad news for them is that the right has most of the guns and we train harder.
Wait...Biden is talking about being at gunpoint or raped, yet somebody says "crosshairs" and they are demanded to apologize? What's this thing with Democrats being the only ones allowed to enjoy the right to freedom of speech???
ReplyDelete@JaJG…It will get blamed on Bush like everything else.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching the Occupy [whatever] people since the beginning, and I only really see one thing. They are the 'useful idiots' that Soros, Marx, Lenin, Hitler, and others fawn(ed) over consistently.
ReplyDeleteThey are the pawns and sacrifices. They are the final step in the devolution of revolution (and, no, I don't mean evolution). The left has always been backwards thinking. They want to return to the good ol' days of totalitarianism - where the elite ruled over the teeming masses. They have monarch-envy, and they aren't afraid to move to their system of absolute power.
The fight between the left and the right is nothing new. The newest factor is, in fact, only about two hundred years old. The right has never been in charge. The left is offended by the rule of the right - the Constitution. It decentralized power. It puts power into individuals. It states that there are rights given by Our Creator that no government can take away.
They have combated this idea from the beginning. They only really started to succeed when they were able to steal and maintain labels of progress and liberty - progressives and liberals - despite being the exact opposite.
However, the fight still goes on. They know they represent a minority, so they take advantage of our republic. They want the majority to instituted a democracy - something a free people cannot survive in. They have been working towards this transformation, and now they have the useful idiots to help them.
It was relatively easy to transform Russia and China into leftist mobs. They both had centralized power already. The US was different. We had to be torn down and restructured.
They introduced, first, the most tantalizing of good intentions. They introduced them as contracts, and unbreakable bond between the government and the individual. They are the unsustainable social programs we 'enjoy' today. They slowly introduced more and more radical programs, and, now, we have the full socialized medicine they've wanted for years.
These 'good intentions' are used to blind the masses and vilify anybody who wants to 'take them away' in order to save everybody.
The Occupy [whatever] people have been tainted, corrupted in mind and heart. They are incoherent because they do not understand or fight against their own human nature, or soul. The left has taken two-thirds of them away already, and they just do not understand how they are viewed. Obama knows what they are to him. They are his useful idiots.
I just thought of something! Let's all call these Occupy [whatever] people something easy and collectively accurate. They are Obamavilles!
ReplyDeleteThe media is, surprisingly, already helping with the Hooverville reference. These hippies live in 'tent cities' after all.
Obamaville also has the nice ring of desolation that ran Hoover out of office, and it's potentially more true with the anti-business, anti-job, and anti-American words spewing from our campaigner-in-chief.
Now, go forth and speak truth of Obamavilles! ^_^
...
Yes. I realize it's petty and stupid, but it's also satire.
...
And, together, all the Øbamvilles form a poorly homogenized Øbamanation. Nice...
ReplyDelete@Dragon Against Evil- Very good post...and I particularly like the idea of calling the "Occupy" sites "Obamavilles." Here's hoping it catches on!
ReplyDeleteI also liked Ann Coulter's reference to the Occupies as "The Flea Party"... Especially as they're mainly useless bloodsucking parasites, that we'd really be far better off without...
ReplyDelete@DragonAgnstEvil. Excellent essay. Liberal de-evolution literally is "back to the future". Thank you.
ReplyDelete
