Say WHAT?!
For a truly compassionate conservative, there are always mixed feelings about seeing a tyrannical despot's brains being splattered.
Of course, we're not referring to the bullet-punctured noggin of Muammar Gaddafy Gaddafi Gadhafi Qaddafi who, after "months, not days," can go straight to Hell if only because we're sick of trying to spell his last name. No, we're referring to Harry Reid and Joe Biden, whose brains are not only splattered but may be missing altogether.
Majority Leader Reid, when encouraging the Senate to spend another $35 billion on government jobs, claimed that such jobs are where the real urgency is in this economy because "it's very clear that private-sector jobs have been doing just fine." Really?! Because the private sector has lost 2.5 million jobs since 2008... while the number of well-paid federal employees has gone up by 253,000 in the same time.
But for statements of sheer jaw-dropping stupidity, it's always going to be hard to beat Joe Biden - and this week he certainly didn't let us down. After being criticized for saying that there will be more murders and rapes unless Obama's Jobs Act is passed, the vice president doubled down and angrily said of stimulus critics "I wish they had some notion of what it was like to be on the other side of a gun, or [to have] a 200-pound man standing over you, telling you to submit.” (Note: As of press time, Monica Lewinsky could not be reached for comment)
Frankly, with this kind of idiocy coming at us day after day, it's no surprise that Hope n' Change feels exhausted by the end of the week.
And that our former spirit of TGIF seems to have been replaced by a heaping helping of STFU.

Hey, Joe!
ReplyDeleteThat's why some of us SUPPORT 'concealed carry' laws - so that the 98# gramma can put the 200# "Submit" a-hole at the proper end of a gun barrel...
What a d-bag
As for Cnl Duck, assuming it was he and not a look alike minion, I'm glad he's no longer breathing my air. I fear for what's next, but hey - I can always HOPE for CHANGE..

The ousting of Gadaffi, with the help of the UN and the Obama Administration, is verrrryyyy ominous. Illiterate Muslim savages NEED to be under a secularised dictatorship, but now these people have fallen into the hands of The Muslim Brotherhood. - Great work, Obama: you're helping to revive the Caliphate. Jackass.
ReplyDeleteStill waiting for someone, anyone in the LSM to take these mental midgets to task for their sub-idiotic ramblings. How comforting must it be for any Democrat to know that he can spew all manner of insane crap and never be held to account? If I ever reach the end of my tether, have my final nerve sliced in twain and go totally postal, it's not the politicians I will direct my "anger" at, it's their enablers in the media. You expect a snake to behave like a snake. But those whose job is to watch the snakes and warn us of their approach...they need to be held to account for their participation in the destruction of this nation. There can be no forgiveness for them. As a still barely-rational American, all I can do now is refuse to watch, listen and read their gutless, sycophantic slurping noises...and wait.
ReplyDeleteWell, Joe Biden can make a thoughtless, callous, stupid, idiotic, moronic, insane (there just aren't enough adjectives)statement like that because the Secret Service will bust their butts and "take a bullet for him" for the rest of his worthless life. I have been on the wrong side of that gun and know I am alive only by the grace of God. Joe Biden obviously never has. Statements like his ought to clue every thinking woman into the mindset of the liberal a..holes currently in power.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Lybians, I think they are ultimately going to be disappointed in their "Hope & Change" as the Muslim Brotherhood and sharia law are going to leave them worse off than ever before. Their new servitude will be secular and spiritual...... a total dictatorship of the mind and body. Obviously they've never read George Orwell's 1984.
@Gray Lady
ReplyDeleteGiven that the vast majority of the world's Muslims are illiterate, I'd be surprised if they've read anything at all.
I can’t disagree that we need to keep those police and firefighters we have but guess Joe Boy doesn’t realize that police don’t stop the crime they just clean up after it. Hopefully after the crime they will catch the bad guy and put them away as that is their job so that bad guy can’t do it again. Our duty is to protect ourselves as we can’t depend on anyone else to do it for us.
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering after watching the news this morning while they were showing Gaddafy, Gaddafi, Gadhafi, Qaddafi, or just numnuts, however it’s spelled, bloody, dragged around, beat on and killed and that’s ok for the oh so sensitive people in the US to watch. How come showing pictures of Bin Laden with a bullet hole in his head was way too much for us to see. Makes you wonder what the difference is and could there be a conspiracy?????? Guess the One is happy now that his brothers in the Muslim Brotherhood, which is more or less run by the Taliban, are taking over.
Once again, let me point out that it was the left in this country that became unhinged mere months ago about "violent rhetoric" in our political discourse. And yet, each day we're presented with more nonsense like this.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm just going to have to chalk it up to the "soft bigotry of low expectations" for liberals. They know they're intellectual scum, and have no problem living down to it.
Meanwhile, it turns out that reality is getting kinda harsh at the OWS movement:
http://www.bostonherald.com/news/columnists/view.bg?articleid=1374875
The OWSers are getting some annoying real-life lessons about the implications of socialism, "open borders", and identity theft in their little "Obamaville" encampments. Their professors never told them that this would happen.
I have to admit reluctant appreciation that Obama didn't actively nix whatever US/NATO involvement lead to Gaddafi's death. But I find his support of targeted assassination chilling when put in the context of how he and his minions demonize the right. He seems to prefer "clean" kills to messy incarceration and trials. I wouldn't have a problem with a Bush or Cheney doing this, because I believe they could recognize true evil. It's different with Obama, his rhetoric is directed at me, his drones (at least at the moment) are directed at terrorists, plus or minus some collateral damage. Very scary.
ReplyDelete@ Earl
ReplyDelete"his rhetoric is directed at me, his drones (at least at the moment) are directed at terrorists"
The question for all of us is....What if Obama and company decide we are the true enemy because of our "violent" tea party rhetoric and the evil of our Christian and/or constitutionlist beliefs? Will they decide they don't need the "messy incarceration and trials" when dealing with us? Don't get me wrong, I am relieved that terrorist operatives are being removed from the atmosphere at the rate they are but.....If the controlling liberals in this country decide the conservatives are a danger (and remember one Democratic Governor has already called for postponing elections over the economy), given the left's wanton disrespect and disregard for the Constitution and the fact that they are supporting a group of protestors who are calling for the summary execution and/or beheading of those they oppose, can we expect to be treated better or targeted less than terrorists?
@Gray lady. Yep. That's why they're scary.
ReplyDeleteFor a group that used to scream, outraged, that the real intent of the Iraq war was to transfer control of the oil fields, the world-wide "progressive" political animals seem pretty calm about the president assigning US military resources to be the driving force in a supranationally directed handing to the Muslim Brotherhood, Taliban and Al Qaeda the keys to oil revenues. Oh yeah, it's not wrong if they do it...
ReplyDelete@Pete(Detroit)- Good point regarding conceal and carry. Plus, encouraging gun ownership could help provide employment for teachers at shooting ranges.
ReplyDelete@Stan da Man- Concentrating on 2011 releases, how about Horrible Bosses, Final Destination, The Devil's Double, or The Big Bang?
@Coon Tasty- I share your concerns, and have no idea if things in Libya just got better or worse. Even more distressing, I have no idea if Obama has destabilized things (to the potential benefit of the Muslim Brotherhood) by ineptitude or design.
@Angry Hoosier Dad- I feel the same way about the media. It's hard to see their distortions as anything other than evil, although I suppose in some cases it can be written off to either stupidity or their belief that they best serve the populace by telling them what ought to be the truth...but isn't.
@Gray Lady- Before old Joe gets too complacent about having Secret Security for the rest of his life, he might want to consider some of the reports coming from Libya suggesting that Muammar was shot by his own bodyguard to prevent his capture.
@dinger- I, too, am sort of amazed that after all the talk of Osama's death photos being too graphic and destabilizing to show, we're seeing footage that looks like Gaddafi going into a human woodchipper. However, I predicted some time ago that the "death photos" will be leaked out closer to the election, at such time as Obama's perceived testosterone level needs a boost.
@John the Econ- I loved the story you referred to. The Reader's Digest version is that OWS protesters are now annoyed that their camps are being crashed by homeless people (I prefer to think of them as underemployed people cruelly forced out of the real estate market). According to one protester, "They come in here and they’re looking at it as a way of getting a free meal and a place to crash, which is totally fine, but they don’t bring anything to the table at all." Congratulations, son - the world can always use a new conservative.
@Earl & Gray lady- This "Nobel Peace Prize" president does seem to have an affinity for assassinations, destabilization of nations, and blowing people up (including civilians) by remote control. So it's troubling that so many in his administration have described Tea Party types as dangerous threats to the nation. Mind you, I don't think he's going to have kill squads coming after us...but I do think that we'd be in trouble if he just thought he could get away with it.
@A nonny mouse- The same people who attacked the "oil wars" of Bush/Cheney/Halliburton are now practically demanding that we get access to cheap oil from Libya to thank us for assassinating their leader and destabilizing their country. Dizzying, isn't it?
@Readers- A quick change of subject: I just heard Obama speaking about pulling all the troops out of Iraq by year’s end. His robotic reading from the teleprompter was utterly passionless (outside of perhaps a hint of annoyance that he needs to address us at all). I’ve heard more humanity from the computer-generated voice which updates NOAA weather forecasts.
ReplyDeleteI also strongly suspect that this speech has been gathering dust in a drawer until Gaddafi's death, to help deflect criticism that Obama is soft militarily. Hey, in a tough political season, you need to take advantage of spilled blood before it clots.
OK, The One and his big-mouth VP have stooped big time to fear-mongering because they have NOTHING positive to campaign with. Huge crowds of useful idiots are being used by unionists, socialists, communists, racists to help Obama in his relection next year, and can't help but compare it to 08 when the economy threatened to go belly up and it seemed to help Obama get elected.
ReplyDeleteI swear, everything has gone completely mad...with everyone on the left lying(and not being called on it), confused kids and lefties protesting whatever, our leaders trying to scare voters...calling good evil and evil good! Really amazing to witness something like this here at home; I guess it won't be long before people start rioting and dying on the streets just like in other countries.
After posting earlier, I came across an article from American Thinker, which actually made great sense, because from where I sit, it seems the only way to go is down. If you read what I just wrote earlier, it is a pretty depressing piece, but here is a cut from the article:
ReplyDelete"Obama won the 2008 election by default, but believed he won with a mandate to implement progressive dreams. In pursuing an aggressively leftist agenda, he has done these United States a profound service; he has clarified the fundamental ideological battle at the heart of all politics -- statism vs. individualism -- and dramatized the results that flow from such statist public policies."
Great article...see it at...

"...but they don’t bring anything to the table at all."
ReplyDeleteLike your typical hippie protester?
And now the UN wishes to look into the killing of Caddaffee. (since nobody can decide how to spell it, there's my interpretation) It's nice to see the UN interested in brutal political violence in the middle east for a change.
Biden's gaffe should only motivate everybody—especially women—to go get their CCL immediately and learn how to use it in a confrontational situation not just to have the gun. Carrying doesn't help if you don't know how to use a gun and aren't practiced in pulling it on someone in the heat of a confrontation. Panic will always win.
ReplyDeleteRed - Amazingly enough, in MI it's a "Conclealed Pistol License" - which has led to debate as to whether or not you're allowed to carry MORE than one, as in one on hip, and a "back up" at ankle, or wherever...
ReplyDeleteAnd we're not (Yet, they're "working on it") allowed to carry NON lethal items, like cop spec pepper spray, or tazers/zappers... golly, go figure.
Anyway, dunno 'bout where YOU live, the MAIN diff to ME was that it made it a WHOLE lot easier to buy more toys...
Grrrr...
have too many, now..
