Poll Poll Pitiful Me

Hope n' Change will be the first to admit that today's cartoon isn't exactly subtle... but then, neither is the message that the American people are sending to the president.

In a new poll from CBS/New York Times (two alleged news organizations that
love Barack Obama), 80% of people interviewed say they are not better off than they were 4 years ago. And the other 20% are presumed to be Sandra Fluke's boyfriends.

Moreover, the president's approval rating has hit an
all-time low of 41%, and his disapproval rating has hit an all-time high of 47%. These numbers represent a big drop in the last month alone, giving the lie to the media narrative that Obama is being swept into a glorious second term on the strength of a nonexistent economic recovery, a nonexistent energy policy, his nonexistent military victories, and of course his newly-declared dedication to fighting Republicans in the nonexistent "War on Women."

The president has, however,
one solid accomplishment under his belt (no hand lotion joke intended), which is...(drum roll, please)...the killing of Osama bin Laden.

Or, more accurately, the fact that he didn't have a politically expedient way of
stopping Seal Team Six from killing Osama bin Laden.

Which is why the president's new bought-and-paid-for political mockumentary,
"The Road We've Traveled," pays so much attention to Osama's death...showing Barack Obama furrowing his brow in heavy thought and courageously jutting his chin while violins play emotion-stirring music and Tom Hanks (no, really!) narrates the story of the bravest decision ever made by a human being: to sit in a room thousands of miles from any danger while wearing golf clothes and mentally planning his next vacation to Martha's Vineyard.

But will that be enough to turn the poll numbers around, and make Americans forget that their lives have gotten worse, the country and Constitution weaker, and our enemies stronger under this president?
Hope n' Change doesn't think so.

Because when the Republican primaries finally come to an end, there's only going to be one real news story of any importance: Barack Hussein Obama's terrible performance as president of the United States.

And when that story really hits, he'll only
wish he had the poll numbers he enjoys today.

Also on president Fudd's list, finding Nicole Simpson's real killer.

  1. As much as I want Obama out NOW, I think the Left will pull a magical rabbit out of their backsides and Obama will be re-elected. The GOP's utter refusal to run an actual conservative candidate doesn't help.

Obama will continue to offer platitudes to certain ethnic minorities, guaranteeing him their votes, plus he will continue to play the Race Card and get stupid, white liberals to vote for him "to show they aren't prejudiced".

  2. Why, that's not right. Obama's poll numbers rose to FIFTY PERCENT!1!! Yes, half the country loves The Dear Leader! It must be true!! Reuters said so!!

And just look at how happy The Dear Leader looks:

  3. @ Coon Tasty:
I still contend that the well of white-guilt has mostly run dry and that the majority of guilt-ridden crackers paid their penance in 2008 and they really don't have anything left to prove. There are always stragglers and angst-obsessed pu$$ies who will never come to terms with their imagined racist heritage. I just don't think there are enough to make a difference. What we will find out this November is just how many black racists, honky-haters and hard-core Marxists there are in the electorate.

    ReplyDelete
  4. @AHD - I think you'll find that White Guilt is an unending fount of stupidity. (Liberal jews make me laugh the most, since I'm pretty sure they didn't own a whole lot of cotton plantations...)

Face it: New York and Californiastan will overwhelmingly vote for Obama, as will any other place with a huge number of Universities populated by bitter, ageing Marxist professors, braindead hipsters who think they are "social activists", and people who rely on fleecing the taxpayer via arts grants.

  5. Trust me, my cheesy friend of an Australian nature: if this tyrant gets back in, there will be no pandering to anyone but Karl Marx, Mao Tse Tung, Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin (in the person of George Soros)... and Mohammed (may burning sulfur and brimstone be upon them).

Though, in general, I agree with AHD, there remain those "dyed in the wool" democrats who would vote for satan himself if presented on the ballot as a democrat (and frankly, may have already done so in 2008...). Unfortunately, I know too many of these people. Even after all this, and having them convinced that it can't be Øbama again, many of these are now hedging because "the Republicans offerings are just so...". I think their hedging has less to do with "the Republican offerings..." than the dyed in the wool bit, but there it is.

Base on pure rational, logical thought I'd say that a second term is an impossibility. Unfortunately, logical, rational thought has little place in US politics. In any case, for the sake of this "great experiment, a second term must not happen.

  6. People who will vote for him -
    1) Racists (either color, any reason)
    2) Dedicated commies who LIKE what he's doing
    3) Islamists
    4) Leeches getting gifts / grafts

OUR job is to start making noise, lots of it, in Sept and Oct to rally EVERYONE else and get them out to vote. We can NOT afford (literally) to lose this one.

  7. Well, Emmentaler, I have heard Tony Robbins talk about how he is always able to predict who will win the Presidential elections. IIRC, the three main factors were:
    1) Does the person make you feel good?
    2) Do they have integrity?
    3) How do they sound?

If Obama does those three things better than the GOP candidate, he'll win. (And he has the media helping him to look and sound good.)

Tony Robbins also made the point that integrity can be found through a proxy, which is why Clinton teamed up with Gore. - Back then, people didn't realise what Algore was, and he certainly seemed to have a LOT more integrity than Clinton. (Well, duh!)

  8. Coon Tasty: The term 'liberal Jew' has been supplanted... Jews who fail to recognize that liberal/progressive policies were the beginning of the end for Jews in 1930s Germany are now properly referred to as 'Jewicidal'. I guess the same can be said of any person who is old enough to know better but just doesn't seem to - clearly a testament to how successful America has been of late in insulating idiots from the consequences of their own bad ideas.

As to 'white guilt', I once read an article about a twenty something cracker who picked up some young black hitch-hikers in a bad part of town. Bless his heart for expecting good things, but perhaps he shouldn't have been surprised at the subsequent robbery and carjacking. But what can we expect of a naïve little whitebread brady-ass punk who likes to wear the latest in hip-hop fashion, all the while presuming that imitation is the best form of flattery?

AHD: The best poison well is indeed a dry one, and I tend to agree with you here, but Pete(Detroit) makes a pretty good point... especially as concerns item #4.

Regardless, my moment of Zen in all of this was when Herman Cain responded to a question about his race playing a part in negating Obama's 'blackness' with: "Obama is black? Nobody told me". Damn, I sure wish that guy was still in the running.

    ReplyDelete
  9. The problem is that # 4 (as presented by Pete(Detroit)) makes up almost 1/2 of the electorate. Our only hope is leftist apathy: that enough of the leaches just stay home and don't vote so that Øbama gets his pink-slip. If they can instill enough fear in this group to actually get them to the poles ... well ...

    ReplyDelete
  10. @ Chuck:
They may get some of them to the polls, but I'm pretty sure the Poles don't want them (grin).

    ReplyDelete
  11. @Coon Tasty- Unquestionably the tactics you describe will be used; I'm just hoping that it doesn't work a second time. But you can bet that racism is going to trumped up (ala the ridiculous "War on Women") to help squeeze every last vote out of White Guilt.

@Anonymous- There are a lot of ways for poll takers to get the results they want (and want to report). And between now and November we're going to see a lot of faked/fixed polls showing that America just loves Obama again.

@Angry Hoosier Dad- I think you're right. A lot of doofy White Guilt voters cast their ballot for Obama expecting to get a "Magic Negro" and instead got an incompetent president who happens to be black. Hopefully they'll show more discretion in the next election - but we're already seeing black celebs come out to encourage voting for Obama based solely on race. And Obama's own organization, "African Americans for Obama" is pretty much predicated on voting by race and nothing else.

(Side note: for those who don't know, "Magic Negro" is a term which refers to a black character in a book or film who, apparently by dint of having earthy wisdom mixed with their DNA, educates and changes the lives of white people with more money, power, and social status. Leave it to Hollywood to think that it's okay to stereotype blacks instead of treating them as people as long as the new stereotype is magically wonderful.)

@Coon Tasty- I think we've all written off New York and California long ago for the reasons you nicely summarized.

@Emmentaler- I agree with everything you say, but my butt cranches (sorry to get scatalogical) and a goose waddles over my grave when I hear the word "logical." There's no logical reason Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama is our president now. And I'm amazed by how many people I run into who have no freaking idea what's actually happening in politics, but pick up just enough through cultural osmosis to tut-tut about the "War on women" or "Republicans hate the poor" or "The Tea Party is racist."

And those people will go cast their votes for Obama solely because he's black, and walk out of the voting booth picturing themselves in the role of Atticus Finch leaving the courtroom in "To Kill A Mockingbird" - with all of the grateful colored folks in the upper balconies standing silently in respect for a brave, selfless white voter.

A lot of that is still going to happen this time around - but I agree that a second term must not happen. And the poll numbers I mention today give me encouragement that it may not.

@Pete(Detroit)- It is up to US (and I don't mean that generically, I mean you, me, and everyone here) to raise our voices and work to get the election result that our country so desperately needs. There's no need to save your energy for the election after this one: if Obama wins, there may not be another election (and certainly no election which will be able to save us).

@Coon Tasty- Sounds like Obama keeps his Tony Robbins book right next to Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals." Of course, Obama hasn't really managed to find many legitimate "proxies for integrity" since he prefers the company (and philosophies) of Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Bill Maher, and others.

@Mike Porter- Your comments about Herman Cain reminded me of this cartoon (which I got heat for, but still stand behind 100%).

@Chuck- When the Left senses a loss coming on, there tends to be a self-reinforcing effect; they do get apathetic and stay home. Which is why the defeat of Obama must be seen by all as settled and inescapable by election day.

  12. @My Dog Brewski- I can see it now; the leeches stick their hands out and say "I went to the Poles, where's my money?" and the Poles say "Will you take a Czech?"

  13. What I'd like to know is when will "Peace Prize Winner" Obama be accused of "War Crimes"? Last week we had the spectacle of Atty General Holder defending what was formerly Bush policy. Of course, the international left wanted Bush tried for war crimes. But by the left's former standards, Obama policy is actually worse; under Bush it was "capture, interrogate, and trial". Under Obama, it's now simply "target and kill". Do "peace" prizes indemnify you from future war crimes?

I have never understood the phenomenon of the "liberal" Jew. You'd think that the left's hostility to religion, self-determination and security would chase them all to the right.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Ah, but obama released his NCAA basketball tournament bracket picks. That'll give him a boost in the polls, especially given that ESPN is promoting an ongoing 'track the president's picks' feature. He'll be on Sports Center hourly for the next three weeks.

I agree with Coon Tasty. There's a nasty October surprise coming on obama's behalf. Couple that with the media fawning all over him, the ineptitude of the republicans, the locked-in support of hard-core liberals and the welfare-addicted, and you have a very steep hill to climb.

Not saying it can't be done, but color me concerned.

    (Stilton - Pole/Czech ... groan)

    ReplyDelete
  15. @John the Econ- Yeah, Obama's definition of "Peace" is pretty interesting. Which is why if he continues to ignore Congress when calling for military action, he may be facing impeachment.

And as far as "liberal Jews" go, do none of them care about Obama's friend and former neighbor Louis Farrakhan? Have they never heard his opinion of Jews?

@CenTexTim- Have you ever noticed that Obama is way more animated and engaged when talking about basketball than about America?

And yes, there's going to be some sort of godawful October Surprise heading our way to make sure Obama doesn't have to try to win honestly. We need to be ready for it.

  16. @Coon Tasty, I don't think Obowmore is as likeable as the MSM would have us believe. He certainly doesn't have integrity, and he sounds like Al Sharpton. So from my standpoint ... Tony Robbins is still a hoaxster and scam artist.

@Pete(Detroit), I think you left out the a large part of his base: the dead, those who purportedly vote with multiple personalities, and the illegal aliens (or as the Democrats like to think of them, the Hispanic voting base). Otherwise, why would they fight so hard against immigration law enforcement, and voter ID laws?

It's interesting that his only "accomplishment" is reputed to be the death of OBL (or is it UBL?).
If Abu Ghraib was all the fault of Bush's leadership ... then who is at fault for all the monstrous failures of diplomacy in Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan now?

First the Hollywood hoaxsters pull out their usual hit job on conservatives with that utterly tasteless "Game Change". Then the same Liberal lapdogs come out with a commercial where it appears that Obowmore is running against a person who isn't even on the ballot (Sarah Palin). Now they come up with the laugher of the decade trying to portray Obowmore the "Warrior", and his "it's lonely at the top" BS.

Oh, well, if I were Jimmy Carter ... I'd be in church 7 days a week praising the Lord for my deliverance. Praise the Lord, and pass the hand lotion.

    ReplyDelete
  17. There's someone (possibly Tony Robbins, possibly not) who claims he has a system to predict presidential winners, and one of the items he looks at for incumbents is SCANDALS. This guy claims Barack Hussein has no scandals. Somehow, The Predictor hasn't heard of "Fast And Furious" or "Solyndra", or the rest of the "green energy" money pits. Or else he's ignoring them like the MSM.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Stilt - "Have you ever noticed that Obama is way more animated and engaged when talking about basketball than about America?"

Man, you are so right about that. I watched the first-round NCAA game last night that he attended (and dragged along poor British PM David Cameron). The fan-in-chief showed much more interest and excitement in the game than he ever has when addressing the issues in this country that need attention.

  19. Well, he CLAIMS Bin Laden is dead. Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but we have been shown slim to no proof of that. How convenient that they decided to bury the body at sea and release no photos... At this point, I would even be skeptical if he actually RELEASED the photos to boost his re-election. He's had enough time now to photoshop a 4 hour, 3D full featured movie of it.

I'm still in the ABO corner. Remember, when we were stuck with that squish McCain, Romney seemed like an ultra-conservative in comparison. Baby steps... WAY better than falling off the cliff of complete destruction of our country.

  20. I know I'm off point with this ... but ... in the immortal words of the Obama 2012 campaign ... WTF?

Why is it with this Administration and Eric Holder ... it always comes down to "Do as I say ... not as I do" ?

"All persons 16 years old or older are required to have valid picture identification (i.e. state driver license/identification, government identification/credentials, etc) to enter the building. Visitors will be required to show their identification at the security check point before entering the building, and again after the security checkpoint to visitor center personnel for processing into the building."

  21. A lot of doofy White Guilt voters cast their ballot for Obama expecting to get a "Magic Negro" and instead got an incompetent president who happens to be black.

Kind of reminds me of what has happened in the private sector and, in particular, within government offices due to "affirmative action" and race/gender quotas...

    ReplyDelete
  22. @elcedar- I live in Texas, so am still stinging over the Feds knocking down our voter ID law because it would have a "discriminatory effect" on Hispanics. That is, the Hispanics who are American citizens of voting age who have never used a picture ID to buy alcohol, cash a check, drive a car, or take a plane flight, and are too busy to acquire an ID. Although if they don't have jobs (no car, no paycheck) then I'm not sure why they're too busy.

And Jimmy Carter has good reason to be grateful. It really took someone special to knock him out of the "worst president ever" box. Although he's still the worse white president.

@JustaJeepGuy- Barack Obama has no scandals?! Quick, somebody send that lunkhead a link to the Hope n' Change archives (or at least a copy of "Obama Sutra" for 57 scandalous examples).

@CenTexTim- Since Obama is such a sports fan, I wish someone would ask him what would happen if the teams suddenly had to have players matching the racial balance of America, as well as half-female and handicapped players. And then he could be asked why he thinks the "evil rich" should be expected to believe "at some point you've earned enough," but the same isn't true for the salary demands of guys who can run fast and throw balls?

@Colby- As you say, there has been ZERO actual proof in public that OBL was killed. And you're right that even photographic proof wouldn't mean much at this point (case in point: I've seen the trailer for "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" so I know the killing exploits of presidents can be faked pretty convincingly). And I'm not saying that OBL isn't dead - I'm just saying I don't believe anything that comes out of a liar's mouth.

And it's worth remembering that Romney looked pretty good compared to McCain. If he's the candidate, I'll have no problem getting behind him.

@elcedar- Ay Caramba! That policy sounds discriminatory against Hispanics!

@Emmentaler- Did everyone just hear the sound of a factory whistle blowing? Because that would be the steam shrieking out of my ears regarding the topic of "Affirmative Action." I'm not going to go into it today (other than to say I know a lot of people who have been badly hurt by the policy and the systemic abuses of the policy).

And in case there are any doubts that even the LEFT knows that Affirmative Action is a codeword for "racial preferences for unqualified applicants," try calling Obama the Affirmative Action President in front of them. They'll be outraged...which is a funny reaction to a program they claim is good.

  23. Guys, guys, it's not "liberal Jew", it's "liberal jew". - The distinction being that the latter are people who are Jewish by ancestry but don't practice real Judaism. Judaism is an extremely conservative religion. Hence, any real Jew will hold conservative opinions, not liberal opinions.

    Israelis = "Jews"
    Hollywood/NY liberals = "jews"

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Coon Tasty- Thanks for the explanation. You've certainly cleared up the ambiguity!

@Pryorguy- We're going to have a lot of flat out LIES thrown our way to dispirit us. Don't believe them. There are a lot of people who feel like we do, and a lot of people who will make the right choice when it comes down to choosing "Obama or America" since it truly must be one or the other.

@Coon Tasty- For those keeping score, Jimmy Carter is the worst white president, Bill Clinton is the worst all-white black president, and Barack Obama is the worst half-white black president (and current record holder for worst president overall without racial subclassification).

  27. elcedar - the illegal / undead / schizo fraudsters probably are split b/n category 2 and 4, but you're right, they deserve their own recognition

Stilt - I've never yet heard of a state that does not give free ID to the indigent. There is *no* excuse.

I'm reminded of an OLD one about Martina Navratilova walking into INS (to defect - Czech was was still Eastern Block in '75) and asking "Do you Cache Czechs?"
