Man of the Cloth

obama, obama jokes, islam, ramadan, conservative, hope n' change, hope and change, stilton jarlsberg, michelle, fabric

Barack Hussein Obama recently took time off from impeding Israel's efforts to defend itself and not giving a flying fornication about the anti-Christian slaughter in Iraq in order to do what he does best and most enthusiastically: praise Islam.

In official comments for the celebration of the Eid-al-Fitr feast which comes at the end of Ramadan's month-long period of fasting, the president praised Muslim-Americans for their many "achievements and contributions...to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy."

Sadly, very few people care enough about history anymore to acknowledge the great contributions of our nation's Muslim founding fathers, including Thomas Mohammed Jefferson,  Alexander Hussein Hamilton, and John Allah Akbar Adams. And speaking of the "fabric of our nation," fewer still know or care that the Declaration of Independence is written on the back of a prayer rug.  And don't bother checking it on Snopes - we already did, and it's true.

The president is also correct in his assertion that Muslim-Americans strengthen the core of our democracy - or at least the core of Obama's Democrat voting bloc.  According to a recent study, Obama enjoys greater support from Muslims than any other religious group in America - perhaps because he voices greater support for Muslims than any other religious group in America.

Seriously, have you ever heard the president praise Christianity for its role in putting a man on the moon? Have you heard him say that one of the "sweetest sounds on Earth" is the Mormon Tabernacle Choir? Can he even spell Presbyterian? We think not.

But in the spirit of Eid-al-Fitr, let us not bicker about religious differences but instead celebrate the strong fabric of America.

A strong fabric which, above all else, we'd like to see made into a straightjacket for Barack Hussein Obama as soon as possible.

  1. I had a dream last night in which lamont insane obama was celebrating the sweetest sound he ever heard, him and magilla eating the traditional meal to honor his favorite religion... RAMADAN NOODLES!
BTW, I've never seen magilla look so "fetching" as while wearing her Mooselim Dior designer trash-bag! (Also, "fetching" as when you throw something for any OTHER dog to retrieve!)

  2. Amazing how versatile this master faker is. Claims to be Irish on St Patty's day, yet marks the Muslim holidays as well. I wonder how those pics of him sippng Guinness went over at the local Mosque.

  3. Where the hell did omar the tent maker come up with much material?

  4. How fitting that the greatest contribution of the Arab/Muslim world is the zero. Now we are stuck with him as our alleged president.

  5. If the Allah Praiser-in-Chief is referring to the arab slave-traders, whose slaves populated the New World, he might have a point.

  6. How can anyone doubt what the "dic's" true religion is. It is self evident. Actions speak louder than words. PS: It's spouse never looked better.

  7. And Michelle said....

Boys may come and boys may go
    And that's alright you see
    Experience has made me rich
    And now they're after me

'Cause everybody's living in a material world
And I am a material girl
You know that we are living in a material world
And I am a material girl

    @Stilton,
You left out Achmed Quincy Adams.

    @Judi King,
O'Liar definitely leans Muslim, but the only "god" he worships is himself.

  8. Yeah, Obozo's "fabric" statement/claim is made up out of whole cloth alright.

  9. Muslims did so have something to do with the early strength of this country! What religion do you think the targets were on the shores of Tripoli when the Marines got their first big job?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well, Muslims can take control.
    And fly airplanes very well.
Though, their landing skills have much to be desired.

  12. @Readers- As a point of clarification, today's cartoon isn't about Muslim bashing (although they have a lot to answer for) so much as Barry's hyperbolic praise for the faith that gave us the "zero" and the "ground zero."

And it doesn't help that, although Barry claims to be a Christian, he attended Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years and came away with nothing other than the belief that the Bible is a story about chickens coming home to roost.

  13. Not counting Hussein himself, the US did not get it's first Muslim-American congressman until 2007. That does not speak loudly for "many achievements and contributions". As for " building the fabric of our nation", the aforementioned Arab slave traders did indeed supply us with plenty of manual laborers. Also, Ă˜bama's buddies that gave us 9/11 have most certainly aided in the building of the fabric of our current Stasi Police State.

  14. Women, under Sharia law, are probably the most abused people in human history. Besides the allowed beatings, sexual mutilation, and common deaths by stoning for relatively minor transgressions, they also have no rights to their own children and very few other rights whatsoever. They do not even often get the luxury of being their husband's only wife.
With that in mind, where is all the feminist outrage when our president publicly praises that religion?

    ReplyDelete
  15. The targets on the shores of Tripoli were Barbary pirates who were capturing ships and selling the captures as slaves. Jefferson refused to pay to these pirates, hence the "war". (The pirates just happened to be muslims).

  16. Barry and history? Schmistory!

It's all about him. He's the greatest, evah! His voters won't fact check him. Anyway, they all want Israel destroyed. The anti-Semitism, anit-Christian of this administration, who constantly roars about "racial animus" is breath-taking. Cough ...

  17. Let's not forget how ISIS selebrated Eid-al-Fitr!

They had a jolly good time slaughtering hundreds of Shia Muslims.

  18. I don't want to celebrate some Muslim tradition...but I would heartily celebrate Obama's exit from the planet!

You're correct, Stilt, Obama has always claimed he is a christian. But, after that first dumb interview at Saddleback church IN 2008 with Pastor Warren, it was obvious to every believer that he was not...no doubt whatsoever, and he has not shown us otherwise!

The word of God tells us that whether you are a believer or otherwise, you will know a true believer by what he produces...and he has produced nothing but confusion.

  19. You know, in all fairness, I don't know about "the fabric of our nation" (which is clearly embedded in the classical liberal tradition of Europe, at least until the 20th century), but I am continually amazed by the contributions of the Arab world to Western Civilization in general, during the Medieval period when the Western world was coming out of the funk of the Dark Ages. The contribution is broad and significant.

And then, over the centuries of Islamic-induced decline, here is how Western Civilization and the Arab world interact today.

It has been noted by many authors that nations which are resource-rich tend to have declining cultures.

    ReplyDelete
  20. All the "Arabs" did was perpetuate the inventions of others through the middle ages. They really didn't invent much on their own.

    ReplyDelete
  21. There is no question that Arabic culture contributed greatly to advancements in many human philosophies and endeavors. They evidently even invented the Bagpipe, and have the common decency and wisdom to not take credit for that obnoxious musical instrument. However, at least since the 15th Century, their contributions have pretty much been Zero (see what I did there). In their self-serving claim to be the chosen race they have forsaken advancement in favor of religious zeal. I believe that, had they not come into great wealth via the fossil fuels that lie under their otherwise useless lands, the entire Arabic/Muslim culture would have gone the way of the Dodo Bird.

  22. Judi - you are correct but it is clear that we (modern Western culture or archaically, the Occident) have a lot that has been influenced by so-called "Oriental Culture". But "invent" they did, though it may not seem like much (numerals, musical notations to some degree, they fostered much of science prior to the Age of Reason and the Rennaisance - algorithm is Arabic - and so on) but let's face it, there wasn't much going on back then by our standards anyway.

The point I was trying to make was they were a pivotal conduit from ancient to the modern Western culture and somehow that has all taken a wrong turn. I think in that regard, Geoff is correct.

I am simply amazed each time I read about that era. How could so great a people go so wrong? And then I look at us ....

    1. Sorry sis. If you Google the history of bagpipes, you will find the earliest record came from the Hittite Empire in the current Middle Eastern vicinity of Turkey. This reference occured around 1000 BC, long before the advent of the Roman Empire.

  26. Hey, coward, quick question, what is one of the US's oldest and most loyal ally, and the first country to recognize the United States of America in 1777? If you guessed "The Muslim country of Morocco", guess what? You're absolutely correct, and have just identified one of the Muslim contributions to the founding of America.

Hopefully you'll be able to stomach this instead of just getting scared of new information again and deleting it.

  27. I've had about "allah" this I can stand. What galaxy did this guy come here from?

  28. Wow - they recognized us did they? Whooppeedeeeffingdoo. I bet it was like night and day when that happened. Where would we have been had that not happened, Anon #1? Uh ... same place.

I am shaking in my boots about THAT contribution.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The Hittites may POSSIBLY have had a bagpipe before the Romans but 3000 years ago they can hardly be called Arabs and, as this was about the Arab contribution to Western civilization, this is a pretty big stretch. Yeah, Morocco may have recognized the new US but what does that have to do with a war with the muslim Barbary pirates?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Judi - At that time, "oriental" (v. "occidental") would be a better description. I know I have used the word "Arab" as the current parlance is apt to do, as opposed to "Islamic". Semitical might also be a good word. I think Geoff was simply making a point about the peoples of that region. There are a lot of threads that go back through the millennia upon which Western Culture rests.

BTW, have you ever read Will and Ariel Durant's "The Story Of Civilization"? If not and if you have a LOT of time, you should. You sound like someone who would enjoy it.

  31. Yes, Western civilization has many building blocks. Thanks for the tip about that book, I'll look for it.

Someone mentioned (hope it wasn't me - if so the alzheimer's is getting worse) the "Tyson's Corner" piece in NR the other day - here it is. Very good. Along with Kevin D. Williamson, Charles Cooke is becoming a big fave of mine. He's a transplanted Brit who seems to be more of an American than the vast majority of Americans. And he can point that out with some very thoughtful writing.

  34. @Anonymous (the stupid one with OCD)- You're equating Morocco's recognition of the United States with the nation's founding (or, in Barry Soetoro's words, "building the very fabric" of our nation)?!

I once "recognized" actor Peter Weller at a coffee shop in Dallas, but that doesn't mean I can take credit for the creation of Robocop.

  38. Dear moonbat,
I guess you really showed us, didn't you. Morocco? Really? Damn.... There HAD to be abundant "high fives" at Independence Hall that day. I can almost hear Jefferson saying, "Gentlemen. We have ARRIVED! A tiny nation of tent dwelling sheep "herders" from the 3rd century has recognized us as a COUNTRY! WHOOPEEE!!! Break out the ale, boys!"

Speaking of recognition, there are millions of us who fully recognize Obama as a lying, lazy, narcissicistic asswipe, but that certainly has no impact on his legitimacy as a world leader).

Oh, and isn't it kinda ironic that the moonbat accused Stilton of cowardice and posted as anonymous? Few use their real names here, but all it could come up with is "anonymous?"

    @Stilton,
Huzzah, indeed! And speaking of Peter Weller, ever watch Longmire? I like it because I'm from Wyoming, and I've even gotten past the fact that the show is filmed in New Mexico and Longmire is played by an Aussie. And I see the Captcha is back. Dang....

  39. Crap! I need to eat crow now. My computer is screwed up, so my post went in as "anonymous" instead of Colby. This has something to do with the Captcha thing; I'm logged in, but the "how to post" thing is not showing at the bottom.
