Because we can go to Hell in a Handbasket even faster if we give the handbasket supersonic jet engines, a Massachusetts school system has decided to distribute free condoms to children as young as six years old...with parents unable to voice complaints or prevent the distribution.
Children - as young as kindergarten students - can request the condoms secretly, but will only receive them after a consultation with a school nurse who can make sure that the condoms will be used appropriately. Which presumably means that a six-year-old boy can only have consensual sex with a five-year-old girl (perhaps requiring a promise to give her a shiny nickel.)
As much as we'd like to have a devastatingly clever punchline to this story, it just isn't going to happen. Hope n' Change is literally, truly, physically ill about this.
And so we simply leave you with a photo of the children - the children, for God's sake - that the Massachusetts school system thinks should be having unrestricted sex whether their parents are against it or not.
Look at these kids' eyes, their faces, and their smiles. Think about their lives, their hopes, and their futures. And then ask yourself why a taxpayer-funded school system would deliberately be prepping them all to be rape victims.
To paraphrase Hillary Clinton and her ghostwriter, "It takes a village...to destroy families."
To the surprise of no one and the delight of the Taliban, a petulant and frowny-faced Barack Obama fired our top military commander in Afghanistan, General Stanley McChrystal, because the alleged president wasn't happy about remarks the General's staffers made about Washington while drinking with a reporter from Rolling Stone magazine.
The president insists that in a time of war, lack of respect can not and will not be tolerated - which is why he replaced McChrystal with Army General David Petraeus, who liberals in Washington respectfully called "General Betray-us" when he was leading war efforts in Iraq. And in fact, when Republicans offered up a resolution condemning the "General Betray-us" slur, both Barack Obama and Joe Biden refused to support it.
And so, in these strange days of Hope n' Change, we now have a wartime president whose thinking and strategy are coming out of the pages of Rolling Stone. Which no doubt offers a certain nostalgia to a president who admits that he spent the years when he could have served in the military "rolling stoned."
In order to make Obamacare appear "deficit neutral," the Democrats chose not to fund the so-called "Doc Fix"...thereby putting into motion a 21% cut in payments to already underpaid doctors who provide medicare and medicaid services.
Despite their transparent cooking of the books, Obama and the dems are now demanding billions of dollars in new, unfunded debt to pay the doctors - claiming (accurately, if belatedly) that failure to do so "jeopardizes the health of elderly citizens."
A temporary funding measure is expected to pass...but in the interim, doctors will receive the new, lower payments and have to file additional reams of paperwork to eventually get the rest of what they're owed.
And more than ever before, they're saying "I'm mad as hell and I'm not taking it anymore."
New statistics show that record numbers of doctors are refusing to see medicare and medicaid patients. According to Lori Helm, president of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the doctors are saying "I can't afford to keep losing money."
So thanks to the Obama administration, tar balls aren't the only thing that are going to be collecting on beaches. There will also be a lot more retired doctors.
