Friday Triple Play

Heard Mentality

Harry Reid, the most vile little raisin of a man alive, has found a way to lower the bar on his already reprehensible behavior. Specifically, he's telling news organizations and the Senate that Mitt Romney didn't pay taxes for 10 years, and that's why he's refusing to show more of his tax returns.

And how does Harry know this? In his own words: "Do I know that's true? Well, I'm not certain." Oh - so it may be an out and out lie supported by no evidence whatsoever. But that won't keep Harry from making cheap partisan accusations!

Whatever Mitt Romney has paid in taxes, the IRS clearly didn't have any problem with it when they reviewed his returns. So just maybe, Harry, it's not true that Romney paid no taxes for 10 years.

But one thing we do know is true: Senate majority "leader" Harry Reid hasn't submitted a budget in over 3 years. That's not a rumor. It's a disgrace.

Drip Drip Drip

Gosh darn it to blankety heck! Some evildoer is still leaking top secret stories from the Whitehouse to make Barack Obama look like he's not a wimp, even though the president and Eric Holder claimed that they'd launched an investigation to stop such mischief.

And by "mischief," we mean stories which are intended to make Obama look good while putting the lives of Americans and our allies at risk, and undercutting the work of our military and intelligence communities.

So far, Eric Holder has been too busy galloping around the country stirring up pre-election race hatred to really crack down on the criminal leaking of information from the Whitehouse, but he will find out who is responsible and tell the president.

After all, that's the only way Obama will know who to protect with Executive Privilege.

Hope and Chains

In this election cycle, Barack Obama's support is even falling amongst black voters. Part of it is because they're much worse off than when he was elected, and he clearly hasn't given a damn about African-Americans since the day he was elected.

Moreover, it's become clear to those voters that Barry, as described by a former girlfriend, has "hardly a black bone in his body."

Which is why the Left and others "down with the struggle" were overjoyed to discover that Barack Hussein Obama is actually a descendent of John Punch, America's very first slave (who may well have been purchased by a great-great-grandparent of Joe Biden's who found the slave to be "articulate and clean and bright and a nice-looking guy.")

But before Barry breaks into a chorus of "Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen," it's rather important to point out that he has less "slave blood" than his white mother...from whom he inherited it.

And - oh yeah! - the genealogist who produced the research can't actually prove that Obama's familial connection to slavery is even true.

We suspect it was just a rumor he heard from Harry Reid.

"Oh, Lawdy!- Massa Barack beez a slabe juss like da ress o' da po', Black folk?!"

I wonder how many millions of dollars in reparations he'll award himself?

In other news, it is widely rumoured that Mr. Obama has in fact had at least one "bone" in his body. Just ask Larry Sinclair.

Well, down at the Post Office, I heard that Harry Reid sucks pus out of the lesions of leprous Syrian rebels whose ancestors sold Obama's great great great great great grandfather into slavery at Mount Vernon.....or something. Ball is in your court Dingy.

I looked to see your post and there were THREE! First - Harry Reid stirs the pot trying to rally his supporters (I've heard from some of them already about Romney's tax evasion) so that they could ultimately gain access to Romney's taxes - don't release them, Romney! Slavery in Barack's blood? From his white mother? And so it goes.....

Not only should Mitt NOT release more tax records, he should sue the living shit out of Harry Reid for slander. People of Nevada! Please, please use your voting power and take this man away before he single-handedly ruins our once great country!

Emmentaler Limburger said...

@Colby: Your cries should fall to the SEIU, who rigged the 2010 election to get Reid re-coronated. The people of Nevada really had no choice in the matter, much as the DNC would like to see it throughout the rest of the country.

Emmentaller - wasn't that the election where 100's of 1000's of votes were left unlocked, uncounted and unguarded in a hotel lobby over night?

All - Stilt released the Pelosi Soup cartoon yesterday on FBook, w/ some coffee spew worthy commentary...
Check it out!

@Coon Tasty- When Obama receives reparations, I suggest he should get 40 inches of land and a very tiny mule.

@TrickyRicky- Hey, I heard that too! And Reid hasn't offered even a scintilla of proof that it isn't true, which means it MUST be true!

@Irene Peduto- I certainly can't promise three cartoons every Friday, but sometimes there are a bunch of smaller stories which deserve a satiric mention, but don't quite have enough weight individually to merit my usual full-length commentary.

@Colby- I like the directness of Romney's response to Harry: "Put up or shut up." I agree that Mitt shouldn't offer any more tax records; if there were problems with them then the IRS would already be all over him. Since that isn't the case, then the Left simply wants to use those tax returns to stoke class envy and confusion, and Mitt is smart not to give them the ammunition.

And boy, would I love to see Reid hit with a lawsuit over this. And does anyone remember that Pelosi was also demanding to know what Romney was "hiding" until it was suggested that she open up HER tax returns to public scrutiny? Suddenly she decided that tax returns were an unimportant distraction and we should all just move on.

@Emmentaler- You're right that the fix has been in for Harry for a long time.

The Obama Administration ought to hire the Penn State athletic department. Those people know how to win and keep a secret at the same time.

As for Obama's "slave heritage", he's no more the descendant of slaves than that fraud Elizabeth Warren is a "native American". These two are America's finest poster children ever (since Jayson Blair) for the fraud that is "Affirmative Action", and the damage it does to all of society.

And even if he is somehow a descendant of slaves, he's probably no more so than half of America. How special.

Once again, the psychosis that is the progeny of decades of "affirmative action" exposes itself; The left desperately needing to defend mediocrity by generating more mediocrity while condemning genuine competence & success. This is where they've arrived, and want to take the rest of us.

@John the Econ- Ouch! Funny comment about Penn State! (And your other comments were good too!)

@Cookie- Glad you enjoyed the buffet!

Perhaps Mitt should get on TV holding up a fat manila envelope and say, "Here are ten years worth of my tax returns. I'll trade them for one piece of paper; a signed letter from BO to Harvard releasing all college records and thesis papers to the public.

In unrealted news, I wanted to share this. I laughed my ass off:

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/08/01/georgia-businessman-posts-sign-after-didnt-build-that-debate/

I wonder if the IRS, Secret Service, Justice Department, DHS, FBI or CIA have visited this guy yet.

Taking into consideration the mountainous amount of facts about the O administration thus far, any SANE people would drop this 'leader' like a white-hot piece of chicl-fil-A, but I swear, the people of this present culture really bother me. This Sonof a b***h has a decent chance of keeping his job! And the folks who need to hear the truth sure don't come to this page!

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Colby- Apparently Harry Reid isn't bother by the many, many mysteries surrounding Barack Obama which haven't been reviewed by government agencies - unlike Mitt's taxes.

@Pry- Sadly, I know I'm not changing any minds with Hope n' Change, although I wish I was. My goal hasn't simply been to preach to the choir, though - I've hoped to keep our team laughing and motivated even in tough times. In this battle, maybe I'm just a morale officer...but we each need to do what we can, and this seems to be my niche.

Stilt, I was wondering what your opinion on this was: http://www.businessinsider.com/vante-cfo-bullies-chick-fil-a-worker-then-promptly-gets-fired-for-it-2012-8

John the Econ said...

@badlarry, liberals all to often confuse Constitutionally-protected "Freedom of Speech" with an imaginary right for freedom from responsibility and consequences. The ironically-named Adam Smith had every right to express his dislike for Chick-Fil-A. He even had the right to post about it on YouTube. What he didn't have was any right to expect that there would not be consequences of doing so.

Vante chose to quickly dismiss someone they probably already knew wasn't too sharp. I wonder if the ironically-named Adam Smith has yet discovered the irony of his predicament? In an attempt to leverage social media and the Internet to actually spread hate and cause harm to Dan Cathy & Chick-Fil-A, he's actually destroyed his own career. Now anyone who searches "Adam Smith CFO Vante" or like terms is forever going to see what kind of boob they avoided hiring.

I'd love get a one of Obama's cigarette butts for DNA testing.

And find out who he really is.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@badlarry- I think the firing of the jerk who berated the Chick-fil-a drivethru girl is the best news I heard all week. The smug sonofagun thought he was a star by shooting a video of himself as he chewed out a young lady who had nothing to do with the controversy, then posted his video online.

Free speech guarantees you the right to say what you believe, but it doesn't guarantee there won't be repercussions. In this case, the man basically expressed his opinion that Christians are hateful - and he hates them right back. Oops! His employer, which makes medical equipment, suddenly had to cope with a LOT of unwanted attention from people who didn't appreciate this jerk's opinions...and were as free to boycott their company as gays are to boycott Chick-fil-a.

But the company didn't agree with this glory seeker's hateful opinions. And so they dumped his ass in the street. As did the college where he sometimes lectured.

All of which goes to show that the Constitution guarantees the right to be an asshole, but does not offer protection when you make a point of proving it to the whole world.

@John the Econ- Well shucks. I answered badlarry's question before reading YOUR answer, which is better worded than mine and doesn't even use profanity. Well done!

@Anonymous- Good idea. Now all we have to do is find the butt of a Virginia Slim with his shade of lipstick on it.

John the Econ said...

@Stilton, sorry to beat you to that. But it was just too rich. Karma scored a solid 10 this week. It just never occurred to this guy that his company would not wish to be associated with his own hate and stupidity.

And the girl he tried to abuse deserves a promotion. She handled his abuse with grace and maintained dignity with aplomb. The so morally and intellectually superior Mr. Smith was no doubt expecting either some hysterical religious nut to go into a rant for great video or someone he could get to shrivel in tears. I have little doubt that her career trajectory will be 180-degrees different than that of Mr. Smith's.

Mrs. Econ at times comments that there might some day be consequences of what I say online. I don't worry about it much, as I've never dreamed of a career in government, mainstream media or a foundation. Most potential employers that might be interested in my services value freedom over what these other entities have to offer.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@John the Econ- You're right that Adam Smith's career trajectory is going straight down, and his failures will be seen by any potential employer who Googles his name. Which is why he'll be changing his name from Adam Smith to John Maynard Keynes.

Regarding Mrs. Econ's worries about speaking up and speaking out, there can be consequences (right, Adam?). But people need to individually decide whether the consequences of silence might be even worse. Personally, I stood on the sidelines far too long, but reality slapped me out of complacence on 9/11. In good conscience, I just can't (and won't) keep my mouth shut anymore.

And, of course, most of us use pseudonyms of at least SOME deny-ability...

After hearing what happened to the major A-hole Adam Smith, EX-CFO of Vante, I would like to express my opinion of the new hope I have for the return to common sense: "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of a fast-food chain - and not just because of their standing up for their beliefs, but because I think people are hungry for a really good chicken sandwich. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and not just feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment." (With apologies to the Ms. Obama)

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Pete(Detroit)- Pseudonyms?! NOW you tell me!

@Anonymous- I don't think you owe any apologies to Mrs. Obama (and that was a funny way of reinterpreting her statement!)

I long for the day in the very near future when some Senate confirmation hearing will feature the testimony of "Bonerdude192" and how his opinion on the once active Obama administration on an online forum affects his political future.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@badlarry- You paint a humorously ridiculous picture...and Harry Reid's Senate is soidiotic forum it's not hard to imagine such proceedings.

But of course, the greater threat of repercussions comes at a much lower level: the possibility of losing employment or opportunities because of your political beliefs. It's a valid concern, because it really happens.

ahem, you mean he heard the *fact* from Harry Reid, don't you?
