Putting the Tango in "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot." |
As a case in point, following the carnage in Brussels and the president's much-criticized appearance at a Cuban baseball game with new BFF Raul Castro, Obama (and his huge entourage) jetted off to Argentina where he performed a pelvis-grinding tango at a state dinner to prove his strength to ISIS.
Whether this will have the desired deterrant effect on those suicide bombers who plan to do their pelvis grinding in the afterlife remains to be seen.
BONUS: SHOW ME THE BUNNY
We apologize for the seemingly blasphemous nature of the above cartoon, but it reflects our annoyance with the annual White House Easter Egg Roll which will be held on Monday (because Sundays are, first and foremost, reserved for golfing).
As usual, visiting the White House's website for the event would give you no idea that Easter has any religious significance whatsoever. Aliens (the kind from outer space, not the kind enjoying your tax dollars) would struggle to find any prevailing theme behind a day dedicated to Michelle Obama, a giant rabbit, random activities (including those mentioned above, plus cooking classes, storytime, healthy eating lessons, and hula hoops) and an epic quest to find autographed souvenir eggs (in "banquet blue," "gala green," "party pink," and transgendered "sunset soiree") which can also be purchased for $29.95 for a six pack.
Look, we're not against making the day fun for kids and families of all faiths, nor do we want anything even flirting with theocracy. But if the White House is holding a huge observation of the holiday, it strikes us as insane and insulting to not at least mention Christianity somewhere in the mix.
Seriously, if we're supposed to believe that it's a major blow to ISIS to see our president bravely going to baseball games and doing the Lambada with a slit-skirted tart, shouldn't we worry about what message of cowardice is being sent when Obama takes Jesus out of Easter?
In any event, Hope n' Change extends sincere wishes that our many Christian readers will enjoy a very special and meaningful Easter this Sunday.

Just really having a hard time with this one.
Ahh yes, what better way to observe the 40th anniversary of Argentina's "Dirty War", in which death squads brutally murdered tens of thousands, than to perform a solemn and highly respectful Tango?
What next, a dignified line dance at the Holocaust Memorial Museum when he returns to D.C.?
@Stilton
Dancing with the Scars is yet another home run image, plus 10 extra points for having one pinky tied behind you. ☺
Have we noticed how well Obama does many Muslim Holidays?
'It's always a challenge when you have a terrorist attack anywhere in the world, particularly in this age of 24/7 news coverage,' said the president. 'You want to be respectful and understand the gravity of the situation, but the whole premise of terrorism is to try to disrupt people's ordinary lives.'These werequotes by Obama at the baseball game in Cuba sitting with his new BFF Raul Castro as he was being interviewed by ESPN. It sounded like he was complaining about 24 hour news. He looked very happy and relaxed in his sunglasses. He had a big smile. It was not as bad as a reporter who whined that the attacks in Brussels took attention away from Obama's big trip to Cuba. That was not as bad as the Mizzou BLM students whining that the Paris murders stole their press time.
Expect something dramatic from prezzy zero since those damned belgium victims took the line light off his triumphant cuba entry. I mean how inconsiderate could they be?
I expect we will hear or see something dramatic from mooch too after that.....ahh.... interesting.... yeah that's it, dance.
One thing we can count on is that the obummers know what is really important - Them!!!
May I wish each and everyone of you a joyous and wonderful Easter.
For my Christian friends- "He has risen"
The guy can't dance either. It was obvious that she was leading him like a goat on a tether.
Elvis is dead, Picasso is dead Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin are dead Marilyn Monroe is dead- however... Jesus is Alive
Brando is dead, James Brown is dead Princess Di and John Lennon are dead Biggie and Pac are dead- however Jesus is Alive
He is risen indeed!
@Anonymous- By "this one" do you mean one of the cartoons, the commentary, the president's non-reaction to a terrorist attack, or the White House suggesting that Yoga should be a part of Easter observances?
@Geoff King- And of course, Barry apologized to Argentina that our stinking, rotten country wasn't more sensitive to their plight 40 years ago.
@Joseph ET- You just hit another of my hot buttons. When Obama hosts a Ramadan event, it's elegant, respectful, and dripping with speeches about Islam's important contributions to the United States and the world. But give them Christianity's holiest day to work with and suddenly it's a combination of PeeWee's Playhouse and Cirque de So What.
@TMay- Great points, all. And sadly, if we have to explain to the president what he did (and is doing) wrong, he'll never get it anyway. The man has no gravitas and, I suspect, no real empathy for "the rabble."
@REM1875- It is always "about them." Which is why, when speaking to ESPN, Obama is talking about how he will be presented on other news casts rather than the dead, dying, and missing in Belgium. Meanwhile, Michelle is giving speeches about how sexist our nation is because she allegedly used to be whistled at.
@Anonymous- Barry did look uncomfortable, which I enjoyed. But I was surprised at the degree to which the Secret Service allowed that dancer to climb all over him. If she'd had a gaboon viper hiding in her, uh, southern border, Barry would be pushing up daisies now.
Well, he wouldn't want to cut his 'historic' vacation short, now would he? Why should HE (the Greatest President Ever In The History of The World) have his fun spoiled by such a trivial thing as a (can't mention their affiliation because it might offend Muslims) terrorist bombing where Americans were killed. Partay on!
I think that we are expecting way to much of the Obamas. You still can't get blood out of a turnip.
Happy Resurrection Day to all.
Stilt, there's never a gaboon viper around when you need one.
Chef621, they ain't turnips.....
I better shut up now before I get myself in trouble. My wife's looking down the driveway for black SUVs.....
@Anonymous
You're right. His dancing is awful and she was leading him. His tango pretty much sums up his whole administration.
Because I can no longer tolerate MSN on TV or radio, I had to look up the "dancing fool" video on the Internet. The first thought I had was Nero and his alleged fiddle.
When young barry "lamont" soetoro was in tumbling class it was said "the stoner rolled away", so, obviously, it's not quite the same.
@Judi King

While everyone was focused on Barry and his partner the human Remora, I noticed that her erstwhile partner was charged with herding the Mooch around the dance floor. That had to be a whole lot less fun the the gal was having making Barry uncomfortable with her closeness. I can well imagine that Barry had some 'splainin' to do later too.
@Stilt: "shouldn't we worry about what message of cowardice is being sent when Obama takes Jesus out of Easter?"
Well, in his defense, he already took the "Islam" out of "ISIS".
Happy Easter to all. Enjoy saying that openly, while you still can.
As for terrorism, the left's only refrain is usually something along the line of "not all Muslims are like that". And that is true. I wholeheartedly believe that the majority are not. Most come to the west not to conquer or convert us, but to simply escape the hell hole that many of their cultural compatriots have turned their homelands into.
But here's the problem. In Europe, roughly one-third of Muslim "young adults" think that violence in the name of Islam is just fine.
And who they see as the "infidels" is not limited to just Jews or Christians. Any Muslim that does not show adequate contempt for Jews or Christians is actually worse than a Jew or Christian, and must be dealt with justly:
"A popular shopkeeper was stabbed to death by another Muslim in a "religiously prejudiced" attack hours after posting an Easter message on Facebook to "my beloved Christian nation".
Asad Shah, 40, a devout Muslim originally from the Pakistani city of Rabwah, had his head stamped on during a savage attack, according to one eyewitness. Around four hours earlier the victim wrote online: "Good Friday and a very Happy Easter, especially to my beloved Christian nation. 'Let's follow the real footstep of beloved holy Jesus Christ and get the real success in both worlds.'"
So as scared as we so-called "Islamophobes" might be, the "moderate" Muslims are even more scared. They're under more of a microscope than you and I are, and any open embrace of "multiculturalism" is quite risky. So when we rhetorically ask why the "moderate" Muslims are not more proactive in dealing with the "radicalization" problem, the answer should be pretty obvious. Doing so could be lethal.
Savor the irony: Anyone here who rejects the multiculturalist agenda is a racist. And yet, the beneficiaries of that agenda actually risk their lives by openly being multicultural.
So again, "Happy Easter".
I always thought having a Kleenex concession stand at a lambada dance party would be pretty lucrative but tango would do just as well. With all that dry humping going on the dance floor, someone was going to blow a refreshing load in his shorts.
I suspect it was a busted air hose or someone looking for their dog and not whistling at the mooch.
I mean even if I could whistle I just can not for the life of me imagine any reason at anytime in her life whistling at her unless she was robbing me and I had a police whistle.... hey wait a minute, she and her "husband" are robbing us!
Sssh be vewy, vewy quiet now case I am going wabbit hunting!!!
"He has Risen"
Wish y'all a wonderful Easter.
And to all the Irish as we commemorate the 100th year Easter Sunday Uprising which began the Liberation of Ireland -Bless y'all
And to all the Polish and those who wish they were, a Happy Dyngus day on Monday. I mean who would not want to be Polish with a holiday that has Vodka, great food, beer, polka bands and whipping young women (gently of course) with pussy willows to make they fertile?

Long time no write, sir. Sorry to hear of your travails.
In regards to the cartoon above, the best thing about my faith versus oh say Islam?
I can and do laugh at jokes about mine because my faith is strong.
No harm, no foul no offense taken from this mackerel snapper!!
