Prior to the president's in-school speech to students on September 8th, the Whitehouse has encouraged students to read biographies about Obama. Really...?

Those who read "Dreams From My Father" will learn that the young Obama thoroughly enjoyed marijuana, that he bought and used cocaine when he could afford it (not explaining where the money came from...), that his basketball coach was an "ignorant motherfucker," and on the subject of higher education, the importance the president placed on choosing Marxist college professors.

Simply amazing how if this were a Republican President, it would be "indoctrination"...but this is just considered "education" with Obama.

Parents should be enraged right now, and picketing the schools until the schools get back to teaching reading, writing, and 'rithmetic! (Of course I suppose the three "R's" have been lacking in many schools for some time, due to social indoctrination.)

Suzy, you're completely right. This whole episode is one of those interesting self-tests: would we be upset if this was a different president talking to the kids? Say, one we'd voted for?

I'd still be concerned, but not as much. The problem is that we've grown to know Barack Hussein Obama; his apologist attitude all things American, his socialist and radical philosophies, his machiavellian "never waste a good crisis" opportunism, and the fact that we have yet to see his first selfless, non-political action on behalf of our country.

And here's a question: Since Obama's speeches are all written far in advance...why hasn't the Whitehouse released the text (as they do with many other major speeches) in advance so we can all see that it's harmless?

I didn't even think about the text release part...just add that to all the other questions floating around about birth certificates and going on vacation on the first day of Ramadan...

The Birth Certificate case won't go away. As well as all the other documents is hiding in the bushes :

I think you misread the "ignorant motherfuckers" passage. It looks to me like Obama's basketball coach was calling Obama, and those like him, presumably blacks, "ignorant motherfuckers".

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

Anonymous, here's the actual quote from page 81 of Dreams From My Father:

"There are white folks, and then there are ignorant motherfuckers like you," I had finally told the coach before walking off the court that day.

There's no question that young Obama is doing the speaking, and that he is calling his coach an ignorant motherfucker.

In the interest of accuracy, however, we'll point out that Obama had just overheard his coach refer to some other black players as "niggers," and so we completely agree with the president that the coach actually was an ignorant motherfucker.

Uhm I am not satisfied with the product called President of The United States. What is the return policy for the product item "Barack Obama?" The "Hope" function doesn't work. The "Change" function an extreme!

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

Eric, sorry you're dissatisfied with the item "Barack Obama." We will send a replacement at the earliest possible opportunity.

I am having trouble finding the country of manufacture for the item "Barack Obama." It looks like USA or Kenya. But since we hardly make anything here, I am going with Kenya. I wonder if he actually WAS in fact born there.
