Will Perform Surgery For Food

Since all impartial studies show that Obamacare will neither improve medical care or reduce costs, the president is now claiming that his healthcare plan will curtail unemployment with a massive influx of new jobs. But since medical care workers aren't the ones currently out of work, doesn't that mean that the "new hires" will be bringing some odd skills - or lack of skills - to handling our medical records, giving injections, and setting X-ray machines to "scan" instead of "microwave?"

Then again, the president may intend to hire only people who have recently lost their jobs, but have a proven history of community involvement, personal care, and empathy for all kinds of problems. In other words, "Dr. Acorn will see you now..."

He's been promising new jobs all year and so far all I've noticed is more people than ever LOSING them...I've never personally known so many people losing jobs as I know today.

Or maybe he just means there will be alot of new people hired to replace all the people who are going to QUIT when this goes through...

I was just thinking the other day....when Bush decided to do a "stimulus"....both times I actually saw cash come into my hand, personally, from it. With Obama's "stimulus" I haven't seen anything but people losing jobs, losing pensions, losing investments, losing home equity...etc.

Oh yeah I forgot, this is all Bush's fault...

Philip, the SNL clip was funny...though it's clear that the Saturday Night Lefties are mostly mocking him because they don't feel like he's advanced his radical agenda enough. But no matter - if they're losing their love affair with Obama for any reason, it means his power is decreasing. And that's unquestionably good news!

Suzy, you're completely right. Listening to the president discuss our economy is like hearing a country song: "Are you going to believe me, or your own lying eyes?"

I've never known so many people who are out of work, getting laid off, or (saddest of all) are giving up hope that things will improve. This administration refuses to stimulate the economy the only way economies can be stimulated: by encouraging business (and therefore jobs and payrolls).

Instead, they're attacking and penalizing businesses with new payroll and healthcare taxes, ludicrous "cap and trade" taxes, and anti-capitalist policies. The Washington elite appear to be deliberately killing our economy to foster greater dependency on government.
