Christmas 2013

hope n' change, hope and change, christmas, cookies, stilton jarlsberg, conservative, tea party

In all seriousness, I wish I could send home-baked cookies to everyone who visits this site. But in lieu of that, let me wish everyone (whatever your beliefs) a very Merry Christmas, and also share my hopes that we can indeed someday share Peace on Earth and Good Will to Men.

Thank YOU Stilton for all your priceless humour and insight. You've helped keep so many of us sane. :) We love you dear. Stay safe and may God bless you and yours this coming year with good health, prosperity and eternal salvation.
From Our Home To Yours, A Very Merry CHRISTmas,
~ Pamela & Steve (and the dogs too: Lucy, Sam & Jack) ~

Luke 2: 7 And she (Mary) brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Good will only to men? What about women, you misogynist?

And you failed to mention transgendered individuals. What about them, hmmm? I guess they have no place in you narrow-minded utopia.

What of our faithful, loving animal companions? Surely your withered heart can spare some love for them and all the joy they bring.

Sorry. I couldn't let things stay all touchy-feely and warm and happy. Never let the bastards wear you down.

Now I'm off to cook breakfast for dad & sis, then time to open the gifts. Merry Christmas to you and all your readers. Except for that one guy who pisses me off.

He knows who he is.

I echo all the above...

My family celebrated yesterday afternoon, my son's girlfriend was there, age late 20's, so as things were winding down a bit, I said, "Oh no, we've forgotten something today! We're supposed to talk getting health insurance today!" She, nor either of my kids got it immediately... shows you how much they are paying attention to this travesty! I anticipated groans, or maybe a "dad, just shut up", not blank looks...no idea what I was making a joke about.

I would imagine that applies to many other households as well!

Everyone have a great day!
