Would You Like a Happy Ending?

obama, obama jokes, cartoon, obamacare, keep it, conservative, tea party, stilton jarlsberg, hope n' change, hope and change

This week saw the totally unsurprising revelation that around 100,000 Americans may (or likely may not) have obtained insurance through Obamacare, but over 5,000,000 Americans have already lost the insurance the president swore up, down, and sideways that they could keep.

Which is why yesterday, Barack Obama announced that with no legal authority whatsoever,  he's telling evil, "bad apple" insurance companies to renew the rotten, substandard, cancelled, and (oh yeah!) currently illegal policies that they used to sell.  Mind you, the president isn't making those policies legal again - he's simply issuing an executive directive for the Department of Justice not to prosecute those insurers who break the law.

If that seems confusing, just try imagining that the despicable, profit-mongering insurance companies are now receiving the same treatment as illegal aliens - lovingly embraced by the Obama administration and gifted with a "get out of jail free" card.

This move throws the already screwed up health insurance industry into total chaos. Prices are expected to rise for anyone unfortunate enough to actually have insurance,  insurance companies will need to renegotiate complicated deals with hospitals and provider networks, and confused consumers who couldn't (and can't) navigate Healthcare.gov will now be trying to strike deals with insurance companies who may no longer even do business in their state.

But the damage isn't limited to the healthcare or insurance industries. The "Obamacare uncertainty" which has bedeviled the economy and suppressed hiring has turned into absolute certainty that the idiots behind the Affraudable Care Act, from Obama on down, are lawless liars who couldn't find their own asses with both hands and a GPS unit.

Or, for that matter, with a "free" Obamacare colonoscopy.

@Jim Hlavac- Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao, Chavez, Castro, Mugabe.....all of his fellow travelers are havin' a big old time right about now.

But, but, when Cruz was trying to defund the clusterfuck the Dims were screaming that "you can't touch it, ti's THE LAW". I guess only the anointed one can change the law with a wave of his hand.

Ahhhhhhh, "clusterfuck", brings back sweet memories of my days in the Marines. The word, that is, not the actions. This president brings new meaning to the term. After him "clusterfuck" will be but a walk in the park.

I kinda think insurance companies are simply going to say (and rightly so) they can not possibly react this rapidly. It took them years to change their programs to match the idiotic law, and they can't turn an aircraft carrier around like it's a Porsche. Then HRH BHO will be depending on the MSM to shift blame off his back like they've been doing for the past 5 years. But I also kinda think HRH's grand scheme to dodge blame will backfire this time; the train done left the station, and it even has NBC on it.

This could get really fun, unless your one of the millions who won't have medical coverage.

It will be interesting to see what the House sends over to Harry Greed today, and more interesting to see what Prince Harry does with it. I have a sneaking hunch his butt buddies who are ups for re-election won't let him sign their names this time around.

Why should anyone be surprised that he is, again, ruling by royal decree? He fancies himself as royal. Of course I could have just said "he fancies himself", because that really does sum it up.

The LSM has only briefly peeked out from under their liberal rock. Now that their chosen one has given them their marching orders, they will simply do his bidding and blame the mean old insurance companies for the mess, and of course those complicate ne'er-do-wells in the extremist Tea Party group (which they declared irrelevant over a year ago). Once the 2014 mid-terms are over and the left has control of the house and senate, the announcement will be made that the insurance industry is totally broken and the government will be taking over all aspects of healthcare.

On the plus side, those on the right will be able to get their colonoscopy at the same time as their tax audit every year.

First, I'm not going to shed too many tears over the insurance industry's plight - when you lay with dogs, you get fleas - they saw a huge market open up for them under the ACA. That said....

There is no way to reverse this process, let alone in 15 days. The untold millions that have and will be affected is beyond incompetence, it's criminal - serial felony fraud is a federal crime. I can guarantee that at the first death of a child or cancer patient that has had their coverage cancelled because of the ACA, negligent death suits will be hitting the courts, the PI lawyers are salivating, and the targets with deep pockets are the insurance carriers. With that scenario looming, I think the carriers will file shortly in federal court to have Obammy's 'fix' declared unconstitutional and void.

It has come out in the various testimonies and interviews that Obammy, HHS, and the Democrats d*** well knew that what they were doing would lead to the end of the individual market. This clusterf*** will make the economic disaster after 9/11 look like a cake walk- exactly what Obammy and his minions want to 'redistribute the wealth'. One must remember that this 'law' was crafted by Van Jones/George Soros's liberal think tank The Apollo Group, tuned by Dirty Harry/SanFran Nan in the dark behind closed doors and any Republican attempts to contribute were disdainfully rejected outright with the comment "We Won!". Given what is and will happen to the American People, the Democratic Party should be grouped with Al Qaeda as a terrorist organization. Remember Obammy's statement 'Al Qaeda Is Dead'....just forgot to include that they have become Democrats. Another handy omission, or perhaps 'He didn't know' - the Family Circus Presidency.

@Jim Hlavac- Barry has only just begun, and the forthcoming "surprises" aren't going to be good ones. Obamacare is actually working perfectly in its primary goal of disrupting (on the way to destroying) the private insurance industry while being completely unworkable. The Dems want single-payer, and this is their plan to get it.

@TrickyRicky- There is a staggering double standard at work here: Obamacare's defenders proclaimed it to be The Law, inviolable, perfect, and everlasting. But now the only way to make it work (or at least conceal a little of the damage for another election cycle) is to break The Law...and with it, our entire constitutional process for creating and enforcing laws.

@Fred Ciampi- For a short while, my resolve faltered and I considered using a bowdlerized version of the cartoon with the word "clusterf*ck." But the word (and therefore the gag) just didn't work right with an asterisk in it. It's time for strong and accurate language - and man, don't I wish that a Marine drill instructor could be the one to give Obama the dressing down he so richly deserves...

@Colby- As you point out, the president's "fix" is unworkable and he knows it. His plan is not to fix a damn thing, but rather to pin the blame on the insurance companies when they fail to offer illegal policies.

And you're right, there is at least a small element of fun in watching this thing implode while Dems up for re-election run for cover. Although it would be more fun to start throwing their asses in jail for this mess.

@Chuck- I'm afraid your assessment may be correct. Too many people are still making the mistake that Obamacare isn't working when it creates chaos. On the contrary, that's when it is working perfectly and as designed.

@Stilton,
"Affraudable Care Act", I'm gonna have to get some mileage out of THAT genius! I'd like to see it on Jay Carney's teleprompter! And, BTW... is that colonoscopy done with a D11 Caterpillar?
@Treecky Reecky,
Oh, you mean like in 1861, when the dhimmicraps were saying "Slavery is the law of the land...", or 1961, "Segregation is the law of the land"!
@Chuck,
Just like Jorge W Bush did with TSA, and lamont has done with other industry, NATIONALIZE it and it will be all better, (but if it isn't, WHO CARES... you lost more liberty, and we're smarter than you anyway... WE'LL tell you how to live, and IF you can live!).
@Grumpy Curmudgeon,
"obammy"? Does that make Stanley Ann Dunham obammy's MAMMY?

After a prticularly frustrating day of "close order drill" the ol' Sarge bellowed, "Gawd, you people could f**k up an iron ball with a glass hammer."

Here's something I posted at a few other places:

There's an analogy that has been floating around in my mind for a long time. Obamacare is a child created by a 3-way between Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. Prenatal testing showed that the result is brain damaged, physically impaired, and will be extremely costly to maintain as long as it is alive. It was also known that the delivery would be a breach birth that could endanger the health of the "mother".

So, since the Dems are pro-choice party, why didn't they abort this bastard?

Any insurance company CEO would do well to consider the fate of JPM. JPM was "strongly encouraged" to pick up WaMu and Bear Stearns in 2008. JPM did so and was rewarded by years of Justice Dept lawsuits and tens of billions of dollars in fines, all covering actions that WaMu and BS had done long before being purchased by JPM.

In that CEO's position, I would demand passed and signed legislation permitting this action.

@alan markus...the pro-choice comment is right on, buddy! This little offspring is ripe for dismemberment!

Americans fought each other over slavery...and this las will not go away without some kinda drastic action...I don't believe another Civil War is likely...actually MOST Americans would be on the opposing side to big government! Just makes me wonder how many military guys would follow orders against their fellow countrymen. Do not doubt for a moment that Obama and the msm would justify a horrible decision such as that...look at what they are doing right now! People are going to DIE!!

Insane. This is how banana republics operate; Potentates almost randomly issuing dictates, usually in opposition to both established law and common sense. And if you zig when the state zags, too bad.

I think the insurance industry, which originally supported ObamaCare because they thought it meant forced costumers is starting to figure out that when you play with vipers, that sooner or later you are going to get bit.

And this is also why there has been no recovery since 2009, and why the economy will continue to stagnate until the current crop of tinpots from academia are eradicated from policy making. It's impossible to conduct long-term business under these conditions.

JustaJeepGuy said...

@PRY,

Yeah, people are going to die, but there won't be any death panels. There CAN'T be, because Sarah Palin said there would be! And Sarah is the satan to Barack Hussein's new messiah, right? Well, she is if you're a smug, self-righteous socialist.

Stilton, here's an idea for a cartoon.
This administration had about 3.5 years to build a website.
We fought almost all of WWII in 3.5 years.
Imagine the thousands of planes, ships, vehicles, millions of soldiers, guns, bombs, the North African campaign, D-Day, oh and we fought the Japanese in the Pacific too.
And did I mention the Manhattan Project?

And this administration still can't build a dam website???
