Tough Talk

Click Cartoon for Larger Size
At last the gloves are coming off! Even though dictators and terrorists can still mock our country and push the world to the brink of war, the president has decided to get tough with rapper Kanye West for interrupting a music awards show.

Bonus: Here's the ugly incident that finally pushed Obama over the brink...

Oh for the days of stately leaders who kept cool under pressure...without spouting profanity on national tv.... (and who actually had leadership qualities!)

As a side note, Obama is the LEAST cool President I've ever seen...he gets so agitated and upset when he does not get his way or he does not like something. Like a petulant child.

Suzy, in fairness, the president thought his remarks were off the record (as opposed to being on national TV). And as profanity goes, "Jackass" is not only mild but it's 100% accurate in this case.

But yes, he does get petulant and pouty-faced when things aren't going his way. The expression reminds me of an infant straining to fill his Pampers.

Yo Suzy, I'm really happy for you, I'll let you finish, but Stilt has one of the best Cartoon website of all time.

:)

Haha ok Stilt, I'll give you that...although I have to agree with the cartoon in the fact that when America (and her leaders) cares more about hollywood and sports than important world events...its kinda sad. I personally get very tired of seeing all the reality shows and tv stars and everything being front page news...I suppose its a good distraction while other more serious things have time to work themselves out. It just makes me concerned that the America who has grown up on "reality tv" (and not-so-real tv) will not know what to do with hard cold serious issues when things get tough in this country.

Suzy, I totally agree about the lack of seriousness in media and our general culture. Increasingly, people seem to have no ability to tell the difference between what is and isn't important... and both the media and politicians (not just domestic) are taking advantage of that.

And Philip, gosh...you've officially made Hope n' Change blush. Thanks!
