Seemingly no one has read the entire healthcare bill, with even the president saying he's "not familiar" with key provisions. Yet Obama and Pelosi continue to suggest that the bill is so urgent that it can't be delayed by thorough examination or debate.

Of course, this might be related to the fact that the more the bill is examined and debated, the less the American people like it. White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel still insists that a House vote will be taken before the August recess... presumably because the White House knows that support will erode even further when congresspersons have to face their increasingly scared and angry constituents.

Police Stupidity

Despite admitting that he didn't know the facts in the case of the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, who verbally assaulted and failed to cooperate with officers responding to a burglary report at his own residence, the President opined that it was a white policeman who had acted "stupidly," then went on to complain that America's police unfairly target blacks and hispanics.

In this case, the white cop, Sgt. James Crowley, is an honored officer who has taught racial sensitivity classes for 5 years, after being recommended for the post by his black supervisor. He is not a "rogue cop" - he is well educated, respected, and a professional public servant who puts his life on the line daily.

As was the case with Sonia Sotomayor and the firefighters, the "facts" for Obama were not important - the assumption was that white people are more likely to be wrong than right and, even if they are right, it's time for them to step aside. Forget "justice" - it's time for payback.

Racism, in any form, should be unacceptable...whether from whites in the 60's preventing black children from entering a school, or from the President of the United States opining (with no evidence) that white cops are, as a group, stupid bigots.

If Obama doesn't personally apologize to Sgt. James Crowley, then he should rightfully and permanently be considered a racist. Which should leave all of us asking what in hell has happened to our country.

Get Out Of Jail Free

Having spent itself into insolvency, California plans to send up to 27,000 prisoners home because it can't afford to keep them in jail. Presumably, Californian officials will soon be looking at the savings they can achieve by not arresting criminals in the first place.

Many doctors are quitting medicine because they can't make ends meet on what Medicare currently reimburses them. Now, Obama wants executive power to pay them even less...making it a certainty that there will be fewer and fewer doctors to see more and more patients.

Presumably, the vacancies in the medical field will have to be filled somewhat creatively...

Teddy Kennedy, the bloated liberal architect of America's future healthcare system, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. A short time later, Michael Jackson's brain was removed for so-called "examination." Coincidence...or conspiracy?!

40 years ago this week, Teddy Kennedy drove off the bridge at Chappaquiddick (presumably on his way to Catchaquikkie) and left Mary Jo Kopechne to drown in shallow water. He returned home, talked to advisors, then went to bed all before calling for "help" the next day.

He is now considered one of the prime architects of Obamacare, which will determine how quickly we receive medical services. Uh-oh...

President Obama keeps telling us that adding millions of people to the healthcare roles will actually make the total cost less because of increased governmental efficiency. By extension, if we give healthcare to everyone in the whole world, it shouldn't cost us anything at all.
