Perry and Thrust
Despite the flood of illegal aliens which Barack Obama called a "humanitarian crisis" which requires an emergency expenditure of $3.7 billion bucks (almost none of which will actually help secure the border), the busy, busy, busy president couldn't take time off from glad-handing rich donors at fundraising events in Texas to actually visit the border and take a look at the situation.
He did, however, reluctantly agree to a hastily-arranged meeting with Texas Governor Rick Perry to talk about the growing emergency. Well, not actually talk, but listen. Okay, he didn't listen either - but at least he was in the room - giggling - long enough to get a picture taken...
But the president didn't spend his entire visit to Texas whoring himself out to the wealthy and laughing uproariously about our fallen borders. He also took some time to fight negative racial stereotypes by drinking beer and playing pool.
From a serious journalistic and editorial standpoint, Hope n' Change would really like to describe Mr. Obama's actions as something other than "acting like a complete douche nozzle."
But we can't.

Also while His Lordship made His all important fund-raising rounds, plus the entire time He spent drinking alcohol and physically assaulting defenseless white balls, all roadways anywhere in His vicinity were completely shut down for hours causing traffic to back up as much as 20 miles:
http://www.infowars.com/austin-lockdown-obama-visit-shuts-down-major-highways/
It is understandable that any thouroughfare He is actually travelling on at the time would be considered hallowed ground and therefore mere mortals would be required to find alternate routes. Although closing them hours in advance and leaving them closed long after His Holiness has graced them with His presence may seem a bit extreme, the inconvienience, loss of income while stuck in traffic, wasted energy, added pollution, and general mayhem of the situation are small prices to pay for the honor of actually being in the same general area as the Annointed One.
Geoff, I think this is one of the reasons Owl Gore lost Tennessee in 2000. He had a bad habit of arriving/departing during rush hour, when people that had a job were trying to travel.
We all told him he was Number One in our hearts, even though he treated us like Number Two.
He's probably still buzzed from the beers he tossed back with Gov. Hooplegoober (sp?).
If Obama was only a douche nozzle it would be an improvement SJ.
Literally, he is now just laughing in our faces. If he could whip it out and smack us around with it he would. I am so disgusted by his supporters anymore I'm gonna wind up getting fired for sneering at them at work.
@John the Econ, I have been tossing that wee bit o truth up into my coworkers faces all week. The fools make excuses over and over again.
I think to them WMD means something different. They are still looking for William & Mary Diplomas, White Men Dancing, whacky mangy dogs or what have you.
Also just in, Rep. Stockman of Texas submitted a House Resolution to hold Lois Lerner in contempt of congress and throw her in jail:
http://mobile.wnd.com/2014/07/bill-submitted-to-holdlois-lerner-in-contempt/?cat_orig=politics
The resolution further states that she would be held in the local DC jail in general population. No phone, no pool, no motorcar. Not a single luxury. Like Robinson Crusoe, it's primitive as can be.
As only the House would vote on it, it stands a good chance of passing. The questions then would be: Would she start singing like a canary?, would Øblameo pardon her or throw her under the bus?, or would she tragically be found dead from an apparent overdose of .38 caliber lead?
Geoff, traffic -
W had exactly the same issue here, in '04.. being a huge battleground state, he or Cheny, or SOME big shot were coming in nearly weekly. Arrive in AM (morning rush) depart aftn (evening rush) and lock up town totally. Finally sent the campaign an email, suggesting the knock it off, it was REALLY poor optics. Besides which, there is a perfectly good AFB NEARLY as close to town as the commercial airport (5th busiest in country, ALSO being totally shut down 2x / visit) and public not at all affected. Dunno if someone actually READ the note, or had same idea, but suddenly it was only John Kerry who was effing things up.
Too late, apparently, as W neglected to sway enough people, but...
Funny cartoons! Especially for a geezer like me who remembers "Wipe Out" and trying to play it on my cheapo drum set back in the 60's. But I beg to differ with you, fine Doctor J. A douche nozzle actually has a useful purpose.
@Wahoo,
I'm pretty sure you spelled Hoopinbooger correctly.
@John the Econ,
No way to win here. If you make the point to the moonbat population that there really WERE WMD's, they'll just tell you that Bush was too stupid to find them.
Concerning the horrible mess at the border, I'm waiting for O'Liar to say something like, "I can't go down there and give them green cards myself." Remember, he couldn't go to the gulf and suck up the oil spill with a straw, either. I guess that means he's a pretty crappy messiah, right?
Bah! I still wish Perry would have given him a wedgie, and a noogie too! Then a double wet Willie...
Hannity had an excellent 'Investigative' report on his visit to the border with Gov. Perry last night. Second part airs tonight. Brought out a lot of information that I didn't know, and I consider myself reasonably knowledgeable about the border.
Gov. Perry kept stressing the Obama kept saying that he agreed 'philosophically'. Bet that really turns into some action!
Notice that the media (MSM included) keep referring to The Lightbringer as "Obama" or "Mr. Obama", rarely "President Obama". Used to be as a respect for the Office of the President, they were always referred to as "President Bush" (not so much with 43),'President Clinton", etc.
@Geoff King, does anybody seriously believe that will ever happen? The Democrats certainly do not. The dozens-to-hundreds of IRS minions breaking multiple federal laws involved in the coverup certainly do not. They all know this will go no where. They are safe. They just need to drag this out until after the next election, after which everyone (both Democrats and Republicans) will just wish it all away, or it gets replaced by the next big scandal.
@ John the Econ: Thank you for pointing out the WMD discrepancy. I've tried to tell people that, but get blank stares. If the Iraqis are worried about losing their chemical weapon facility, then they must have had one! Period! As for the border mess, what else can we expect from an incompetent, self-seeking, narcissistic, pool-playing "administrator"? I, for one, can't wait until we are rid of him.
Meanwhile from a recent Gallup poll;
President Barack Obama received majority job approval during the first half of 2014 from U.S. Muslims (72%).
Wahoo,
As a resident of Colorado I can assure you your spelling of the Governor is inaccurate.
It's Hickenpooper!
Juan the Econ,
Remember some time ago, when the "media" was fearing attacks on THEM by militant ragheads, they referred to simple IED's as "weapons of mass destruction"?! (I think they were made of anal lube and camel dung or something.) NOBODY called them on THAT!
Stilt,
EVERY time I see lamont flashing that "shit-eatin-grin" I just want to give him a "high-five"... well, with my fist, and in the mouth, but it's the thought that counts, right?
What's your point? He's a muslim!
@Bruce Blue-as a resident of Colorado (as I am) you really should know the correct spelling is Lickinpooper.
Judy, BITD there was a story (quickly buried) that Greenpeace or someone had knickers in a twist because US Mil was transporting like 6 tons of uranium ore (yellowcake?) out of Iraq in a standard cargo hauler, no special measures, etc... Now, 6T of ore would probably fit in the back of a pickup, it's not like it's a LOT... but it *was* there!
Like I said, buried quickly...
Hey, Stilt....since you're down there pretty close to the action, maybe a photo-op of your own is in order! You could slip on a full-head Obama Mask and stand just this side of the border and call out...."this way, folks...we're open for business! Bring me your tired, your huddled masses and your future democratic voters!"
@Geoff King,
You gave me a ray of hope there for a minute, but then Mr. Econ burst my bubble. And he is right. They held that POS Holder in contempt, and he ain't exactly sittin' on a cot singing "Nobody Knows Da Trouble I Seen." Still... there just may be a bus tire with Lerner's name on it near at hand in an Oval Office closet... It would be sweet to see that horrible bitch making license plates and being Helga's boyfreind!
@Bruce Bleu and TrickyRicky,
I grew up in Wyoming in the 50's and 60's and moved away in the late 70's. I remember when Colorado was a lot like Wyoming (Red with a capital R), but with bigger cities and bigger mountains. I'm so sorry you have been invaded by so many moonbats and unemployed 30 something basement dwellers, but there is still hope because there are still plenty of fine folks like you two there.
Oh, and GO BRONCOS!
Off topic again. The Lois Lerner's mysterious vanishing emails docudrama appears to be the scandal that just won't go away:
http://mobile.wnd.com/2014/07/judge-orders-feds-to-find-lerners-hard-drive/
Time to make some popcorn, fluff up the pillow, and sit back and enjoy the show.
Worthless Douche bag Muslim. Doesn't give a rats a-- about America. I hope the people that voted for him like the change.
For the record, no offense intended toward the fine citizens of Colorado by my misspelling the name of your governor...what'ze it, again...Hoopenhumper?
A quick story, if you'll indulge me. The summer of '74, after my honorable discharge from the Marines, a buddy and I drove cross-country to Denver (his aunt lived in Littleton) for a few days' visit. At that time, Coors wasn't sold east of Kansas, so my buddy and I each brought back a case of Coors, which made us heroes to our friends back home.
I suppose, though, that people making that same road trip today probably come back loaded with OG Kush instead of cases of Coors.
My bad...I hit the wrong button, and "Anonymous said" popped up.
Far as we are concerned here in N Texas near the Red River prezzy Ø visited Texas and austin.
The whipsaw game of the interventionist continues...
If one does not choose to pay for immigrant children or poor people when we have needs at home, one is slammed as heartless — but, Kathleen Sebelius can get up at a Congressional hearing in June 2013 and flatly declare: Hey, “Some people live, and some die.”
Statists refuse to admit that yes, these are daily, heartbreaking decisions regarding whom to assist and how much to help out -- but in a Free Society, they are OUR CHOICES, OUR DECISIONS to make - both together as family units and as individuals — NOT the interventionist's, the Central planner's or the State's.
@ Grumpy Curmudgeon
In the military when a soldier's name (most specifically an officer's) is prefaced by Mr, rather than his rank, it is meant to imply that he is not worthy of that rank. Is it possible that the MSM has finally gotten the right idea?
Who is that governor whose name everyone is trying to spell?
I thought it was chickenpooper?
@graylady: Yep - it was like when my mama used my middle name -"Oh S***! Mr. instead of rank meant your day was about to have a significant emotional moment. I experienced many, but they always led me to improve.
@REM1875: And as we all know, Austin is another country. Truth in advertising bumper sticker "Keep Austin Weird".
Well, @Grumpy and @graylady, in the U.S. Navy, any officer of the rank Lt. Commander and below (equivalent to Major and below for all other services) can be and usually is referred to as "Mr." by anyone of any rank. Personally, I never referred to any officer for whom I had a serious lack of respect as "sir". They were always addressed by their rank alone if I needed to speak to them.
On another note, I lived here in Colorado in 1980 and '81 and then moved here in 1991. I can say it was a whole lot nicer here then than it is now, because there were a WHOLE LOT FEWER "progressives" or "liberals" or whatever you call them than there are now. They all moved here in the early '90s after finally realizing that California was unlivable. Unfortunately, they apparently never made the connection of unlivability with their idiotic liberal measures for which they wholeheartedly voted.
Gorp!
Maybe Mr. Robertson was correct? Or incorrect? I am so confused ....
Is it just me Stilton, or does Rick Perry look like Moe Greene (The Godfather) in these pictures?
And we all know how well things went for Moe when he refused to sell out his share to The Godfather. . . .
Perry has nothing to worry about. For one thing, The Godfather is just a movie. For another, Greene refused to sell out. Perry's eyeballs are safe.
The new White House parrot, Josh Earnest, says that the Øbama presidency is really the most transparent administration in history:
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/07/13/earnest-defends-notion-most-transparent-administration-in-us-history/
I am highly impressed by him. He actually said that without so much as a smirk. The only fault I find with his delivery is that he chose to perform his routine on CNN instead of on Comedy Central.

WHOA... I'm not sure, but could it be that you have an ATTITUDE toward the oreo-in-thief? Unless I'm mistaken, (and there's "slim to none" that THAT is the case), your terminology is kind of "androgenous" when it comes to describing the usurper and his gorilla/Wookiee! I suggest you emulate ME and be "culturally sensitive" and call magilla obama what Rap "singers" call "females", (oops... I just threw up in my mouf [sic]), the "First HO"! Ergo "puta" still works and affords both of them the respect they have earned.
Just tryin' to help here!
BTW, the ONLY difference between the despot lamont insane obama and the despot Idi Amin is Idi ATE men... lamont only puts PART of men in his mouth, doesn't chew, and, I'm convinced, he DOES swallow.
