Heroes Coming Home

This week, the last U.S. combat forces left Iraq, having completed their mission more successfully than almost anyone could have imagined.

Our men and women in uniform have had to face incredible challenges, coming not only from our nation's enemies, but also from the mainstream media and those in Washington who put politics before patriotism.

But that's talk for another time. Today, Hope n' Change wants to send
our utmost and sincerest thanks to the returning troops, and pledge our continuing support for all of the troops still stationed overseas (including many in support roles in Iraq) who risk so much for all of us.

Welcome home, heroes.

What an awesome President ! He was a great Commander and Chief.

Thank God for people like Laura & George Bush. America needs to get back to feeling this way.

I wonder how long GWB & Laura had with the returning troops before they got word from "The One" to quit posing as president & go back to Crawford. 'brobama' will NEVER have the class of GWB!

That is awesome!! Would have expected nothing less from W. He is a great guy and was a good president, certainly better than that poser we have now. I notice Hussein Obama didn't take time out of his busy vacation and golf schedule to be their to welcome them home. But of course he will take all the credit for bringing them home and for the successful outcome of the war.

Everybody needs to take a note from Mr. & Mrs. Bush. Get out there and welcome our troops home. It's the least we can do to show our support for their sacrifice.

Hope we see more of Bush. Wonder what Obama will be doing 18 months after he is out of office?

I've had mixed feelings about the Muslim thing - Don't have a clue what he was, what he is now, or what he will be in the future.

My best guess is that 18 months after he leaves office, you will find Obama chillin with his "brobamas" at the local mosque.

We can never repay our troops what we owe them. They serve us without complaint. They leave their loved ones and some leave and not see their child being born and of course the greatest are the ones who lost their life while serving us. We will forever owe a debit we can not pay to our troops. May God bless you many times. Thanks for all that you do.

Readers- It has always been clear that President Bush loves our men and women in uniform and looks up to them. By contrast, the current resident of the Whitehouse shows a lofty chilliness towards the troops, and looks down on them.

But we will give credit to Obama for continuing Bush's policies in Iraq (even if he did so to avoid being personally blamed for a loss, and because sticking with "the Bush plan" gave him a possible CYA position).

The left pushed hard to get Obama to pull out, even after the tide had turned in our favor, in order to justify their previous pronouncements that the war had already been lost. We're glad that, for whatever reasons, Barack Obama chose to stay the course.

I have sure missed Prez Bush! Pray that our next president ( IN 2012!!!!) will be a man of reason and compassion, and not a robotic, professorial, elite, progressive, socilaistic GLOBAL WEIRDO!!!

(with no cajones)

Look up the word "Class" in any dictionary and you'll find a picture of Geo. W. and Laura Bush as the first definition.

Welcome Home Soldiers. We are proud of you!

This is a lovely picture. I thank our soldiers for their service to our country.

As a veteran, GW shares the kinship that all of us veterans share and most non-veterans respect. Obama feels no such kinship and only pretends to respect. In fact, he resents the military as it is the fist of the mightiest body on the planet and the one most reviled by Obama; the United States of America.

It's obvious the Left has intentions and something to gain from treating the Iraq vets like they did the Vietnam vets. I hope this time the American people can tell the difference between an unpopular war and the men and women fighting it.

Iraq isn't perfect and probably never will be. Since it was cobbled together by the British after World War I it has been a trouble spot. However, it has a functioning and democratic government, Saddam is gone and if they can get the oil flowing and figure out how to fairly disperse the money they might be OK.

Our troops did their jobs despite some rather muddy direction at times. They rid us of Saddam, denied Al Queda a firm foothold in Iraq and gave the government time to form and stabilize. History will smile on the troops and President Bush for seeing this through.

They have completed a most awesome task. And your mention of having to get through the crap of the LSM Propaganda Lap Dogs is the cruelest. Men and women, Fathers, Mothers, all the family that miss sorely their loved ones not coming back and those who have returned abhorrently maimed, physically as well as mentally.

For the sake of this nation. And the LSM writes like they did. Thank God for all the people who have are STILL supporting them until its all finally over.
Amen.

I have been a political junkie since I sat on my dad's shoulders to see "tricky dick" nixon deplane at Idlewild. My dad worked there so we got out on the tarmak(sp). I don't know why he took a 4 year old. I watched the kennedy nixon debates 5 years later and have been hooked since. George W. Bush is unquestionably the greatest president of my lifetime. Not a tough class to top perhaps, but W. had a tough row to how and he did it. The collapse, caused by Democratic insanity in housing would have been much much worse had Bush not put fannie mae and freddie mac into receivership finally. Even Geitner had to admit that the other day. Had he reigned them in earlier as he tried REPEATEDLY to do, it would have been avoided.

Stilt,
This video is proof that we have a s**thead for a president! "W" has about a million times more class that the piece of crap we now have for a commander in chief. GO George!
