Horse Scents

obama, obama jokes, hope and change, hope n' change, korea, nuke, stilton jarlsberg, provocative, cowboy, state of the union

Following the shocking news that North Korea had detonated another, stronger nuclear device despite receiving a series of increasingly stern Hallmark cards from the United Nations, Barack Obama announced that he considers the act "highly provactive," much like Reggie Love in thong underwear.

The president, who used his State of the Union address to talk about reducing our own nuclear arsenal, downsizing our military, disarming our population, and other far-reaching pussification efforts, said of North Korea that "they represent a serious threat to the United States of America, and we've got to be prepared to deal with that."

Yeah! And how are we going to be prepared to deal with that...? With guns? Missiles? Bombs? Aircraft carriers? Drone strikes? Chuck Norris?!

Nope. Barry says "North Korea's threatening activities warrant further swift and credible action by the international community." And by "international community," he of course means the United Nations who will, according to US Ambassador and shameless Benghazi shill Susan Rice, "do the usual drill" and issue a condemnationAlthough at this point, North Korea already has been on the receiving end of more "condemns" than Sandra Fluke.

Sadly, we can't really expect the president to have a very solid policy on North Korea owing to the fact that he doesn't really employ any experts on the region - despite this being a "serious threat" to our country.

In fact, in a highly-embarrassing mixup, Obama recently scrambled Seal Team Six to have them "terminate with extreme prejudice" the Pillsbury Doughboy after national security advisers mistook him for Kim Jong-Un, the poppin' fresh leader of North Korea.

Still, we have to give the president points for consistency: he's been pushing hard to make sure that only crazy people will have guns, and is now extending that policy so that only crazy countries will have nukes.

But as Hillary Clinton would say, "What difference does it make at this point?"

obama, obama jokes, hope and change, hope n' change, korea, nuke, stilton jarlsberg, provocative, cowboy, state of the union, kin jong-un, nuclear weapons
When the Blowboy giggles, it's time to worry.

Arming the Muslim Brotherhood with tanks and fighter jets; refusing to deal with the North Korean menace; destroying the American middle class. - All of these things are the hallmarks of a fundamentally spineless Administration, or possibly one that is deliberately working against the best interests of Americans.

Well, it's in keeping with Barry The Light Bringer's SOTU objectives of more infrastructure 'investment' by increasing the manufacture and installation of man-made disaster shelters.

Hark, O' DemmyDummies - infrastructure 'investments' for the purpose of creating jobs (besides not being 'shovel ready for years due to EPA regs, but then we know what they are shoveling) create jobs that are 1) low paying manual labor (just the future oriented workforce we need),2)are temporary in nature, when work is complete - no job, and most importantly 3) can only go to UNION contractors.

What Obama has failed to state in the SOTU was that he has created the Obama generation - and entire generation that has graduated either high school or college, and entered permanent dependency on welfare/unemployment, Obama stamps, and Obama Phones because of the lack of jobs. But then, that's what he intended.

Thought it interesting that coverage of Barry pontificating was being slipped by the cable nets for coverage of the Kalifornia shooter crises.

Maybe it's just me, but when skid mark delivers a SOTU address, I'm screaming STFU! And strangely, I don't even need to hear it to have that reaction.

I guess the plan is to turn the United States into such a fetid, festering Third World pustulant sewer that even North Korea won't bother nuking us. Wow, why didn't we think of that before. Brilliant! You are now free to return to Survivor and American Idol reruns. That is all.

Ah, yes, yes. And just how many who voted for Øbama in either election have any inkling that there is a world beyond the end of their noses and the extent of their needs? You know: the type of folks who look for a leader that can actually lead; actually cause a foreign power bent on our extinction to take pause and consider their headlong dash toward their nefarious ends? Two? No, two's the loneliest number since the number one. One, then, you say? I suspect not. I'm thinking the number is much, much closer to zero...

Message to them: elections have consequences beyond your paltry "needs".

Okay, I'll admit that I tried to watch some of the SOTU propaganda program. I think I managed five minutes before the sickening taste of bile in my throat made me quit. Even some single malt Islay scotch couldn't get that washed out. I did notice though that the horse's reaction in this mornings cartoon closely resembles 0's (that's not a capital O) name. Interchangeable perhaps? IMO

So, the psychotic said some psycho things, eh? Surprise, surprise. And the North Korean president spoke too! -- No doubt the NK rebuttal was more well received than Rubio's. I think it is odd, though, that the president's minions want to "Destroy the GOP" and can only hand-wring on NK. Notice to policy pros -- NK is medieval, they live in a castle -- starve 'em out. We deliver the food. Stop that.

On the other hand, I noticed something very odd -- there were no "brilliant" and other such hagiographic words from the press. I think even his toadies didn't buy this mush. Or they would have fawned over it, and when I opened my browser this AM I would have seen a picture of the man with jutted jaw and a list of all the great he would do. Instead, there was a picture front and center of one of this ablest supporters, that Dorner fellow, burning in a cabin. Hmm, seems apt.

Of course, to throw Republicans off the scent of the pooh-trail once again Obama brought up gay Americans -- this time in the Military -- and well, from my cursory view of the gay blogs last night -- we're pissed, disappointed and WTF? -- not good.

Well, folks -- All things considered -- the president is proving once again that he is an inept failure. And that is beginning to unite the nation -- and so, optimist that I am -- I have hope that nothing much more will change until this man is gone from office. Except the utter collapse of ObamaCare.

So, just when do we get this "change" everyone was talking about 5 years ago? All I see is just more of the same from Democrats; "Strongly worded letters" sent from the "international community", more spending, taxes, waste.

I only saw bits-n-pieces of the POTUS last night. (Mrs. Econ wanted to watch the dog show, and quite frankly, there was more intelligence in that room than there was at the SOTU) But what I did see was just more of the same nonsense he's been spouting the previous 4 times he's delivered that address; more victimhood, more of the same initiatives to fix energy and infrastructure. More of the same.

Where's the "change"?

Irene Peduto said...

Stilton - NK is a threat to the USA ergo reduce nukes, ranks, etc. WHAT? I fear the unfolding of a high drama which may or may not lead us directly into war. His leading from behind has emboldened our enemies and weakened our country while growing a massive & bloated Federal 1984 style Gvt. Thanks again, Stilton, for directing our attention to the really important things that are not being properly reported from the "free" press.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Coon Tasty- Your analysis is undeniable, and I fear that the second scenario is the one most likely.

@texasrenegade- Last night's speech was yet another exercise in semantic misdirection. "Shovel ready jobs" became "our most urgent repairs" - but as you point out, it's still just smoke and mirrors.

Barry has created and reinforced an entitlement mindset (and coupled it with unemployment) to generate the demand for wealth redistribution and social upheaval.

@Mike Porter- I had the same thing happening last night. Just knowing that he was out there on the airwaves, lying his head off and attack my country, made me agitated and sick. Fortunately, I was able to take some medicine to help. Several glasses, in fact.

@TrickyRicky- There is no external threat to our nation which can even begin to compare to the threat presented by Obama, the Left, and the low-information voters. It's the troika from hell.

@Emmentaler- I agree with your assessment of Obama voters. Personally, I support a lot of policies which wouldn't help me, but which would help my country. But I don't think Obama's voters (or Obama, for that matter) consider this their country. It's just where they happen to live, and they have no interest in sustaining it.

@American Cowboy- Watching for even five minutes makes you a stronger man than I am. I read some excerpts from the speech before the president took the podium, and even the printed words made my eyes bleed. Hearing them delivered in that sneering, professorial tone would have been too much for me.

And I hadn't thought about the similarity of "Brap!" and "Barack!" until now. But I will from now on.

@Jim Hlavac- What could Obama's media toadies find praiseworthy? There were no new ideas, no vision, no hint of grappling with real problems, no suggestion of bipartisanship. Just the same old, same old - like saying that people in America deserve to succeed no matter where they come from (Mexico), what they look like (black), or who they love (Judy Garland).

It's all crap, and any individual or interest group who thinks Obama is out for any agenda other than his own is hallucinating. Gay Americans are just being used as props (again) by this unfeeling SOB.

@John the Econ- The "change" is that he no longer makes a credible argument for "hope."

And I think Susan Rice's remark that the response to North Korea's nuclear ambitions will be "the usual drill" applies equally well to the SOTU address. There is no change, except for the worse.

@Irene Peduto- There's a real world out there, and it's really dangerous. But rather than addressing nuclear nutjobs like North Korea and Iran, Barry is telling the American people that we need federally funded preschools and a higher minimum wage. It's the very definition of rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. You'd think with the icy waters quickly rising and the band playing "Nearer My God To Thee" that more people would realize how much trouble we're in.

The SOTUS by POTUS brought to mind the LOTUS Eaters (was it The Odyssey?) Anyway, my continued resolution for the next four years is to hit the mute button every time the Liar of the United States opens his mouth on tv.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Earl- LOTUS is right! According to Greek mythology (and Google) the lotus-eaters lived on an island and consumed narcotic fruits and flowers which kept them in a state of sleepy, peaceful apathy.

For those of use who don't eat the lotus, though, Obama's voice cuts like a razor blade.

txGreg said...

Normally, I have a good plan for making it through these kinds of speeches. I put the speech on the small TV, and fire up my game console on the big flatscreen + surround sound system. I can then listen to my elected representative lie to me while I shoot various "evil villains" in the face with lots 'n lots of bullets.

Last night... I just went for the shooting. Couldn't handle more BS from BØ.

It may be time for another Nobel Peace Prize since Obama’s foreign policy resulted in North Korea unilaterally disarming itself of one nuclear weapon yesterday.

Things I learned due to the SOTU:

Barack Obama and the Democrats hate black people. How could they be so insensitive, so unfeeling, as to have the SOTU when a black man was being hunted by police? Weren't they the monstrous hypocrites complaining about the Repubs having their Convention during a storm? How is this different? I mean, aside from the Leftist view of "you have to respecy my beliefs while I insult and tear yours down."

Ooops, sorry, King Barack, but you see, *I* have a long-term memory ...

Why does Chris Matthews hate Hispanics? He called Rubio's speech "juvenile," "primitive," and "tinker toy." Can you imagine the outcry if someone called King Putt or his campaign speeches any of those things?

Time to fight fire with fire. Leftists want to play nasty? Let's play. So ask your Liberal friends online why they support these racists.

I'm though playing nice with a group (Dems) who have neither the brain power to reciprocate, nor the morality to appreciate it.

It was a tough call for the networks last night.

Either they cover the story of an angry, ultra-paranoid, narcissistic, evil, black man intent on getting people killed and spreading hatred and anger, or they cover the Dorner story...

(I wish I could take credit for this, but I got it from here.)

Couldn't bear to watch it. But I can guess how it went: Democrats leaping to their feet every 10 seconds while experiencing multiple orgasms. Republicans pretending they liked what he said and politely clapping. Gun crime victims placed strategically around the room being used as pawns to justify abolishing the entire Constitution. Promises of chickens in every pot. Magic jobs from non-existent employers. Michelle wearing a dress that cost more than I make in a year. Am I close?

I did hear that Crazy Uncle Joe looked like a vampire sitting behind his keeper.

Brap! indeed.

TheOldMan said...

All the EPA needs to do to create jobs is outlaw heavy equipment. Then all earthmoving jobs will require shovels. Think of the millions of new jobs!

Emmentaler Limburger said...

@Stilton: I recommend "Brap!" be replaced with "Barack!" in all future horse's ass cartoons. It's succinct. It's clear. And it si self-explanatory.

KHarn said...

=And by "international community," he of course means the United Nations...=

I cringe when somebody says that. Regressives (and some people who should know better) seem to think that the UN has a military force, but according to the last dozen or so wars, it's the UNITED STATES that provides about 80% of the "UN peacekeepers"

mjloehrer said...

I got a kick out of China recalling their ambassador from NK in protest of their nuke testing. As if China didn't give them the go ahead in the first place. NK doesn't wipe their behinds unless the ChiComs give permission. Did NK cross Obama's Red Line or is he waiting for Isreal to screw up?

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@txGreg- I cannot watch Obama speak live anymore because I can't just sit there and suck up his lies, and screaming at the TV doesn't do any good.

On a side note, I like games that go boom.

@Cat Whisperer- Good idea! Disarmament through use! Another success for B. Hussein...

@Earl Allison- Barry didn't want people watching the Christopher Dorner pursuit because they might be reminded of the manifesto in which this cop-killer praised MSNBC and the Left in general.

And Matthews is free to hate Hispanics and Blacks who don't match his political stereotypes because they're obviously race traitors.

Seriously, the Left is the only place in America where outright bigots can feel comfortable hating and belittling minorities these days. And like you, I can't see "playing nice" about that anymore.

@CenTexTim- That is a good line! Actually, the other way you can tell Christopher Dorner apart from Obama is that the president isn't observing Ash Wednesday today. (Ouch - I didn't just write that out loud, did I?)

@Colby- I'd call it Kabuki theater, only I think "Ka-pukey" theater is a more accurate description.

@The Old Man- I'm sure you're kidding, but it's not a bad idea. Let people work for their money...or go without it.

@Emmentaler Limburger- It's tempting, but I'll have to leave it up to the horse.

@KHarn- About the only time we really hear about UN Peacekeepers is when they're being hauled out in body bags. The "international community" has very little influence, and most of it is directed against our nation and our interests. And if anything good has come out of the U.N. in the past few decades, I'm unaware of it.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@mjloehner- I'm about convinced that Barry doesn't have a "red line" except when it comes to our (former) allies. A few years ago, he warned North Korea not to do any missile testing - so they shot a high, hot one in the direction of Hawaii on the 4th of July. Remember Obama's strong reaction?! There wasn't one...beyond "the usual drill." Which is why North Korea is still happily popping nukes whenever they feel like it.

Fellow serfs, sometimes it is difficult to believe exactly what we are living through at the moment, and the dangerous goof that is stepping around the U.S. Constitution with his 'executive orders' to get things done!Who the hell does he think he is, and isn't there SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE in this country with the weight (balls?) to call him on his lies, and be believable to a huge buncha folks? Dr. Ben Carson, youre a fantastic American operating on a high level. If only you, or someone like you could call a spade a spade, as you so naturally do. If I could, and it made any difference, I would.

@earl allison, I hear you. I have been doing my best to restrain my anger but it is getting harder. I've started rebutting any political colloquy from leftists with a strong, aggressive "Uh uh, after 8 years of caterwalling, only to have the Presnewdebt do far far worse-without Cngressional overisight- PROVES that you and your ilk are patently anti-American and that the 8 years of vitriol was nothing more than pure partisan plotics with no integrity whatsoever!!!"

Yeah, so tomorrow Obama will issue an executive order to place a white flag in the hands of every man, woman, and child in the US. And in the spirit of Obamacare, you'll have to pay for the flag.

@Queso - You referred to Lil' Barry being bitch-slapped - what is this about? Can you direct me please?

It's interesting the funny little leaps your mind can make.
I'm reading Brad Meltzer's latest,"The Fifth Assassin"(entertaining book) and thinking about Barry's STOU speech and the thought popped into my mind that I wanna become a "fifth assassin"...thinking about Barry's speech makes me want to "kill" a "fifth" of almost anything alcoholic.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@PRY- I agree with the need to call Barry out, and the accolades for Dr. Carson for doing so. But as long as Obama owns the majority of the media, he can (and does) invent his own "truth." There are a lot of people speaking out against this president's anti-Constitutional excesses, but we don't have a megaphone loud enough to be heard by the majority. Or, as Earl said, to awaken them from their lotus-eating daze.

@Queso Grande- I see no reason anymore to show respect to Barack Obama simply because he wears (and abuses) the title of president. Neither does he get a free pass because of his race. Our nation is dying from an overdose of tact.

@Grizzly- Maybe the white flags could be distributed along with food stamps and unemployment benefits?

@Irene Peduto- I'd meant to comment on that too. If there's any bitch-slappery going on, I want to know about it!

@It's No Gouda- I believe that would make me a "fifth assassin" too.

As to the 'respect' comment, that is a BIG thing in the hood up here in Joisey.......Yo, don' be dissin' me yo.....so to watch the exemplar of Black Maleness, BHO(in the eyes of the Black community) get dissed by just about every rinky dink 3rd world leader is kinda pleasant to watch......were it not so damn scary.

And really, to the libs & low-info voters, what difference does it make? I know! I was once one in those ranks - to me it didn't make any difference what the Republicans said. Well, actually, I didn't hear anything they said. I only heard the Dems. And so it always goes....
