Once Upon a Crime

obama, obama jokes, benghazi, scandal, hope n' change, hope and change, stilton jarlsberg, tea party
Currently there are lots of scandals in the news, and lots of stories about them - many (originated from within the Obama administration) far harder to believe than anything the Brothers Grimm ever concocted.

But the stories being told by Obama's team and much of the media are lacking a very important element: blood - and plenty of it.

Because when you push aside the legal ins-and-outs of the scandals surrounding the AP, the IRS,  the YouTube Video, and "Who changed the Talking Points?" a lot of people have actually died: four Americans in Benghazi (and many more gravely injured), and probably hundreds of men, women, and children in Mexico - and our own enforcement officials - owing to guns given to killers by Obama/Holder's "Fast & Furious" scheme.

Responsibility for these lost lives needs to be determined and justice must be done. Not with firings, apologies, or leaves-of-absence. But with public shame, legal action, and the harshest penalties our courts can mete out.

Obama's scandals are myriad, huge and must all be dealt with. But Hope n' Change thinks we should start by rigorously investigating the political decisions which have taken so many lives.

P.S. "there was no political motivation to the targeting of groups by the IRS"

What sort of human being could watch innocent people die violent deaths and do nothing to help because they needed to get some sleep for his Las Vegas fund-raiser the next day? What sort of souless monster would authorize handing automatic rifles over to Mexican drug lords knowing they would be used to kill and destroy lives? What kind of so called "American" could flippantly wave their arms in the air and say, "What does it matter?" when talking about the brutal killing of Americans on foreign soil?

Folks, the old stories about people "selling their souls to the devil" are not just stories. I firmly believe that this practice is real, and we can see proof all around us. How else could someone so despicible be so well liked and so friggin' powerful? Quite frankly, it scares the crap out of me!

Reiuxcat said...

Indeed!

Who cares about who changed the talking points?

Tell us who denied the extra security and then who gave the stand down order?

And then remove all those with culpability!

There can be no justice when the criminals run the system that is supposed to dispense justice and the sheeple are ... sheeple. And it's only going to get worse; keep watching.

Emmentaler Limburger said...

@Chuck: spot on. And a culture that has been conditioned to accept murder as a "right" - whether of the unborn, the elderly, the handicapped - is no longer morally equipped to understand the true criminality of this administration. Most can't look past the Santa Bag - even if the "gifts" inside are chimerical. I despise this administration; however, I despise the society that put in power - and the "organ" of the media that aids and abets them - even more.

@Cobly -
they are called socialists -- the theory and the collective trumps all - a few eggs must be broken.

Now they will try for the show trials.

Lower level plebes will self-criticize, and fall on their swords.

Meanwhile, this is just the beginning -- there's no way the IRS was limited to a one place; there's no way only the AP was spied on; and the bucks stops with Obama on Benghazi.

Meanwhile, there's Fast & Furious. And many other things. Scandals take time to develop. But these are not going away, too much glasnost on the internet for Pravda to hide it all.

So, in response to Benghazi, the IRS, and the AP telephone log scandals, what has been the #1 excuse of the President, Eric Holder, and administration sycophants in the media and blogosphere?

The government is just huge and it's not our fault. We didn't know about any of this until you did.

Hmmmm. Isn't this the exact point that the Tea Party has been making all along???

So if we have the Obama Administration to thank for anything, it's for proving once and for all that we we've been right all along!

Steve Miller, the being-thrown-under-the-bus interim IRS administrator just admitted that the IRS provided "horrible customer service" to the public.

So that's what it is. Trampling over people's civil rights and the IRS converted into just another mechanism that the Democrats can use to eliminate their enemies is now just "horrible customer service", little worse than having to stand in line at the DMV for more than an hour.

The saddest aspect of this age is that it's now impossible for me to come up with reductio ad absurdum arguments, because when I do, it too often turns out that whatever I imagine as absurd has already happened!

The other day, I said "Meanwhile, if I were a criminal today, I'd be starting my own 501(c)(4) organization and call it something like 'Progressive Planned Community Organizing for Green Socialist Betterment'", the argument being that any organization with popular Progressive buzzwords in the title would sail right through the process.

No sooner than I say that, it turns out that others have had the same idea: Conservative group says IRS approved nonprofit status after applying with ‘liberal-sounding name’: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/conservative-activist-green-name-gets-irs-stamp-approval-193457897.html

"He submitted the paperwork to the IRS in July 2011 for a research site called Media Trackers, which calls itself a "non-partisan investigative watchdog dedicated to promoting accountability in the media and government." Although the site has investigated Republicans like Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Florida Gov. Rick Scott, the site's organizers are unapologetically conservative.

When September 2012 arrived with still no word from the IRS, Ryun determined that Media Trackers would likely never obtain standalone nonprofit status, and he tried a new approach: He applied for permanent nonprofit status for a separate group called Greenhouse Solutions... The IRS approved Greenhouse Solutions' request for permanent nonprofit status in three weeks."

This IRS scandal is also another great example of why the FairTax would be a much better system. No income tax, no need for 501(c) organizations.

Just saw this Tea Party post on Facebook and it made me laugh, but I think it should make me cry because of the truth that can be seen in it!
It's a picture of an IRS agent on the phone. She is saying, "According to our records, it looks like you vote republican. The medical procedure you need will be denied at this time." Appropriate, right?

Hi boys, girls, transgender, gays, lesbians, undocumented aliens, and monitories who practice a different faith! Do you know what time it is? Yes, it’s time for our favorite television program, “Barry’s World!”

In today’s episode, we see little Barry taking on the most important role of his career. And, do you know what it is? R-E-S-P-O-N-S-I-B-I-L-I-T-Y. That’s a big word and a big job for our little Barry, don’t you think so?

Oh, no…It looks like our little Barry got himself way over his head by making crank calls with the AP, taking on the mean, old bullies from the Tea Party group by using the IRS, and that little scaffold with Ben Ghazi.

Silly Barry…

What would he do next...?

To paraphrase Bane from the 'Dark Knight Rises'

"America, take control! Take control of your Republic. This... this is the instrument of your liberation!
We take America back from the corrupt! The collectivist demagogues! The socialist oppressors of generations who have kept you down with myths of entitlement, and we give it back to you... the law abiding tax paying citizen. America is yours. The UN, the foreign bankers, the globalists... None shall interfere. Do as you please. Start by reaffirming the Constitution, and freeing the oppressed! Step forward those who would serve. For an army will be raised. The liberal agitators will be ripped from their decadent nests, and cast out into the cold world that we know and endure. Courts will be convened. Liberty will be restored. The guilty will be punished. The government will survive, as it learns to serve true justice. This great nation... it will endure. America will survive!"

Okay, this is rich:

Just now, at IRS hearings, Charlie Rangle yells out "This screams out for tax reform, doesn't it?!"

Yes, that Charlie Rangle, who himself is a walking example for why we need tax reform.

@Reiuxcat,
Exactly! I am so sick of hearing both liberal and conservative commentators quack about the reasons for the outbreak of violence in Benghazi. I will agree with Hillary on that point; What difference does it make? I want to know what rotten bastard(s) told the military to stand down. And I want that/those rotten bastard(s) to hang. They say they didn't want to step on Libyan toes by sending in military forces. Huh? I say step on their damn faces if they don't like us defending our citizens. Screw you, Libya! If you don't like it, send your navy over to kick our asses.

Jim Hlavac,
The collective.... Resistance is futile! I love Barry's solution for the IRS mess is that have a guy resign. ...but not until June.... when he was leaving anyway. Wow, Barry. Brutal. Don't be too hard on the guy now!

@John the Econ,
As with so many things, if George Bush would have used the same excuses as BO and his minions, he would have been basted, skewered and char-broiled by the media.

hmmm... interesting... one of the words I have to type to prove I'm not a robot is "character."

Wow, Stilton, that was unusually mild. Did you get a call from the IRS yesterday?

Oh, and by the way, the Boston bombings were in fact, Bush's fault:

Reiuxcat +1.

@John the Econ - Joker left a note in the boat clearly stating that the bombing was an act of Islamic terrorism - part retribution for Afghanistan, part Muslim solidarity. The question is why did it take a month for that note to be released to the public?

Perhaps because it didn't fit the obama regime's preferred narrative...?

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@REM1875- And none so stupid as those who ask for their rulers to blind them.

And yeah, the "no political motivation" line IS pretty hard to swallow - as Monica Lewinsky might say.

@Colby- I agree wholeheartedly. It takes some special sort of ice-blooded reptiles to be so comfortable with prioritizing personal power over actual human lives. These people are evil.

@Reuixcat- Let me be clear, I DO care a LOT about who floated the lies (and quite likely saved Barry's presidency in the run up to the election). But my priority is getting to the bottom of WHO decided to deny security, and WHO ordered our forces to stand down when Americans were dying. These are big, big questions. We still don't even have an official accounting of what Barry was doing during the extended hours of the terrorist attack - although we DO know he was informed of the attack and Ambassador Stevens being missing, and that Barry subsequently made no other contact, nor requested contact, about the matter.

@Chuck- Every time I see Eric Holder and know in charge of our "justice," my face falls into my hands and I think we're totally screwed.

@Emmentaler- Yep, yep, yep. What you said.

@Jim Hlavac- My concern is that even if these scandals DON'T go away, they can also fail to get traction in a politically meaningful way. The rabble may simply not care how corrupt Barry is as long as the "good and valuable considerations" continue to flow from the magical land of Milk and Corruption.

@John the Econ- Obviously, if the government is too big to control, we need to add additional controllers - right?

And by the way, I should TOTALLY file for non-tax status as "Hope n' Change" - that sounds like we're completely in synch with B. Hussein!

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Cookie- I believe every part of that with the exception that they won't be so truthful about why our requests for medical help will be denied (or "Benghazied").

@John Greco- Barry honestly believes that "taking responsibility" means "I refuse to talk about this further."

@Necron99- I keep meaning to see that movie, but I've had too many dark nights of my own...

@John the Econ- Yeah, Charlie. Tax reform. I've got a better idea: howzabout just to level the playing field, 500 progressive tax-protected political groups lose their status for the next two years - after which we'll call things even?

@Colby- Actually, you don't have to type the word "character" to prove you're not a robot. You have to type it to prove you're not a liberal.

@Anonymous- You might have been kidding, but actually the commentary was milder and shorter than I intended. I had only just started it when we had a flare-up of an ongoing medical situation here at home (a family member's epilepsy). So the words were sort of quick and dirty today, as I was powerfully distracted.

@CenTexTim- Protecting Barry's BIG LIE that radical Islam didn't have much to do with the Boston Marathon bombing is the ONLY conceivable reason for keeping Jokar's message secret this long.

p said...

Fantastic Strip, buddy! Really powerful...now if we could just get MOST of our population to give a rat's ass about what's going on...that's all contingent on their KNOWING what's going on!

Emmentaler Limburger said...

On the subject of media distractions, anyone else notice how we haven't heard much regarding the Big Bad Kim Jong-un and his nuclear aspirations lately? I don't think any form of diplomacy coming out of WDC under this administration would have been successful, and I'm unaware of any other actions, so what happened? Just another "news du jour" distraction from the sycophantic media? Wonder what it was inteded to cover?

Skoonj said...

Some people think this set of scandals may drive a wedge between the media and the Obama administration. They wont. In fact, though we may want to attack and even impeach Obama (very well deserved), he is simply the latest progressive tyrant we have suffered through, in a line that includes Clinton, Carter, FDR, and Wilson.

The real enemy is liberalism, or if you will, socialism, communism, statism, or whatever you want to call it.

Rush Limbaugh brought it out several times this week: "This is Big Government out of control. When liberals end up with this kind of power, this is how they use it. This is why they want government to be big, and it's why they want to be part of government. They thirst for this power and they love using this power. They love turning the power of the federal government on their enemies."

The left is deeply embedded into the fabric of government, news media, and education. Benghazi, Obamacare, the IRS scandal, Detroit, California, New Orleans, and Chicago are all symptoms of the disease of liberalism, when it has a chance to fester.

John the Econ said...

@Emmentaler Limburger, one would almost suspect that the North Korean non-crisis was blown out of proportion because the insiders knew all this was coming down the pike.

@Skoonj, I am afraid you are correct. Obama isn't the disease; just a symptom. As I have repeatedly reminded my "birther" friends, the real problem is that enough people simply don't care if he's legitimate or not. They voted for him twice because he promises to keep the goodies coming. All they care about is that he's politically correct.

And as you so accurately pointed out, the real problem is that the apparatus of state is almost exclusively controlled by the left. It almost doesn't even matter who controls the White House. This is why "big government squishies" are just as bad as Democrats; they think they can control the beast that has no interest in being controlled. Bush never even seriously attempted to control it, because he simply couldn't.

Very well said Stilton. Actually I'm feeling much better about our country since all this has come to the forefront. Wisdom follows knowledge (usually). I pray that the uninformed will wake up and smell the coffee. TEA Party is not the enemy. Our government IS!

Also, there are protests against the IRS scheduled for May 21st for anyone interested.
Legal Insurrection: legalinsurrection.com/2013/05/tea-party-irs-protests-may-21/

Hope to see many of my equally concerned, patriotic soulmates there.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@p- Today I read that 50% of the population have virtually no idea that these scandals even exist. The other 50% is divided between a minority which is following the stories pretty closely, and a larger group which has "sorta, kinda" heard of them. Which is why I fear that NO scandal can bring Barry down permanently. But I hope I'm wrong.

@Emmentaler- I believe Little Kim even shot off another missile today, but nobody really gave a crap. Although it's probably because most people are more interested in Angelina Jolie having her boobs removed (note: that's a dismissal of our country's dumbass celebrity-obsessed culture; while I don't care for Ms Jolie's politics, she made a brave personal decision and shared it to potentially help others - and I applaud her for that).

@Skoonj- Right you are. The press is only pissed off because Obama (with his blatant Benghazi lies) had a momentary lapse and revealed that the members of the press are whores instead of lovers.

But they'll soon forgive and forget, once he's paid some minor dues. Because they are, after all, complete whores.

@John the Econ- Excellent point about Korea; a lot of people in the know were laughing off the nuclear threat from North Korea, saying that this is what they ALWAYS do this time of year - as predictable as the changing of the seasons. So maybe the Obama administration wanted to make it seem a lot more serious as a distration.

The rest of your comment is first rate, too - but I can't really add to it because someone seems to have poured cheap Canadian whiskey into my healthful, life-giving glass of water.

@Sparky Hudson- Legal insurrection?! Hot damn - I'm in! (Hint: anyone conservative who can prove that he/she was at a public IRS protest will be audit-proof for the next 10 years unless the IRS wants to mount a losing lawsuit.)
