Dark Days

There's a storm coming - and it's not like one we've ever seen before.
Another American journalist, Steven Sotliff from Miami, was brutally beheaded in the latest video released by ISIS. The killer, thought to be a failed British hip-hop wannabee calling himself "Jihadi John," is the same man who recently beheaded James Foley.

"I'm back, Obama," says the masked killer, "And I'm back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State."

Currently, that policy includes using airpower to kinetically turn some ISIS members into rapidly expanding clouds of pink mist. And despite the human tragedy of the beheadings, it is a policy which should be increased.

Whether or not the president has a strategy, it's clear that ISIS does. These monstrous lunatics represent the cultural and spiritual equivalent of the ebola virus. Neither can be "cured," but with enough diligence and the right use of technology they can and must be eradicated.

But...that will take an effort of will and leadership which is clearly and frighteningly missing from the White House.

Consider this: new leaks have revealed that Obama has been getting specific and detailed intelligence briefings on the growth, ambition, and ruthlessness of ISIS for over a year - a time when he publicly declared the war on terror to be at an end, and described ISIS as a feckless "JV team" unworthy of his attentions (which is pretty tough talk from a scrawny member of the Debate Club).

There are reports that at least some of the intelligence was highly actionable: pinpointing terrorists who desperately needed blowing up. But someone refused to take action. Surely the same someone who now claims we have no strategy, even though increasingly frustrated military and intelligence experts are telling us exactly the opposite.

Indeed, the reason Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has gone public with his warnings of the ISIS threat, and the reason the president's top secret briefing materials were leaked, is indicative that the terrorist threat of radical Islam is known all too well inside the White House - and concerned officials who can't make the president listen or act are desperately going public in hopes of forcing his hand before we suffer the next 9/11 attack.

We hope they succeed. But those fast-moving storm clouds are awfully dark and frighteningly near.

This AZZhole is on the road to ruining this country. And he's almost there..

Napalm. Lots and lots of Napalm.

Anyone else notice the parades of moderate Muslims denouncing these
acts of atrocity? Me neither...

We, none of us, should be totally surprised.

“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” — Barack Øbama, October 30, 2008.

The only surprises, for me, are just how radical the changes were and how quickly they happened. And please remember, the problem is not just the current resident of the white house … the problem is the majority of voters who elected him … TWICE!

Hitler told the world exactly what he wanted to do, in his book. No one really believed him. 0bama told the world, in his books, what he wanted to accomplish. No one believed him, nor do many even today. He, and the people he surrounded himself with, have long sought the collapse of the United States. That was the dream of his father. Our President isn't ambivolent, he's a cunningly calculating master of deceit, and he's planned things out so he's perpetually two moves ahead of everyone else. All of the delays and inaction only let our opposition strengthen themselves.
We can't rely on either party to do anything with enough strength to harm his plan.
Many individuals are doing all they can, and our hard work is almost all that can be asked of us. While this may go against Stilton's nature, but calling for Divine help is all we are left with.
I believe the Hand of the Divine was in in the founding of this nation, and will be our aid if we but live moral lives and ask for help.

To first Anonymous; referring to 0bama as an azzhole is besmirching something unpleasant, but useful. Lacking such an item, we'd all be much like our commander-in-chief. He's not useful for anything beyond an being a bad example, or an example of bad.

Nevermind that radical Islamists have now stolen 11 commercial airliners, and that they are the most well funded and armed group of terrorists in human history. Despite the fact that Arctic ice has increased by over 50% even though Al Gore said it would be totally gone by this summer, and despite the fact that there has been absolutely no sign of global warming in at least 19 years, a Pew Poll shows that Dems are far more worried about climate change than about ISIS:
http://www.infowars.com/dems-believe-climate-change-more-dangerous-than-isis-beheadings/
No wonder Øbama doesn't give a damn about the beheadings. Global warming is much more popular and profitable for the criminals in charge.

Ya know, I'm really starting to not like Obama.

John the Econ said...

Isn't it a shame as to how reality keeps getting in Obama's way? Once again, a fine example of how the world does not deserve such a leader as our Nobel Pre-Peace-Prize-winning President.

But seriously, didn't the White House just try to tell us that the world had never been more "tranquil"?

The Chinese challenging the ADIZ [air defense identification zone] with Japan
The Russian annexation of Crimea
The rise of ISIS
The Russian invasion of Ukraine
The fall of Mosul
The end of Hungarian liberal democracy
The Central American refugee crisis
The Egyptian-UAE attacks on Libya
The extermination of Iraqi Christians
The Yazidi genocide
The scramble to revise NATO's eastern-frontier defenses
The Kristallnacht-style pogroms in European cities
The reemergence of mainstream anti-Semitism
The third (or fourth, perhaps) American war in Iraq
Racial riots in middle America

Oh, and militant Islamics are holding pool parties at US embassies.

But what are Obama's priorities? Things that he can't possibly be held responsible for, like "Climate non-Change". (formerly known as "Global non-Warming")

At least we can give some credit to the mainstream media for perking up. After months of genocide and the beheadings of Christians, they finally started to take notice when it was some of their own who found themselves on the targeted list.

But of course Obama knew all of this has been going on. But he's no leader. He's a follower. He "leads from behind". Leaders act before things get out of control. Followers only react. It takes guts to be a leader, especially when doing something might be unpopular. Being a follower takes no guts at all.

@Anonymous- He's made much more progress towards crippling this nation than I would have believed possible prior to his election.

@Frankie- I agree that Napalm seems like a good idea to catch the attention of these lowlifes. Although last night I found myself thinking that on September 11th of this year, I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of low-yield nukes dropped on these assholes. It would be our way of declaring that we're taking back 9/11.

@TrickyRicky- I feel something bad coming down to my bone marrow. In no small part because I know that the president of the United States is actively working to cripple our defenses.

As for Mark Steyn, he's a treasure and I agree with him.

@Chuck Baker- I sometimes wonder about the staggering stupidity of people who voted for Barry twice. Then I recently read an article stating that in a survey, 50% of women under 35 couldn't identify a vagina on a medical chart of the human body. Suddenly, the Dems success with the "war on women" voter campaign makes more sense - they're appealing to blithering idiots.

@Anonymous- Nicely said. It is one of the great paradoxes of journalism that the news media didn't bother to vet candidate Obama at all, even though all the dirt they could ever need was right there in his autobiographies.

As far as asking for help from the Hand of Divine, I certainly don't discourage it. I'm not a believer, but I have tremendous respect for those who are.

@Anonymous- It really is hard to come up with anything as comparably odious as B. Hussein.

@Geoff King- Dems love bitching about global warming because it offers them two things that they love: an area of influence that gives them power over nearly everything, and simultaneously is something which can't have measurable results to show success (or more likely failure). Total power, zero accountability. All wrapped up in a nice "green" bow.

@Bobo the Hobo- Racist. (grin)

@John the Econ- As always, brilliantly said.

The radical islamists have been somewhat tame for the last 50 or 60 years but now have come out of their rat holes and need to be annihilated for the good of the entire globe. There can be no other solution but our traitor in chief continues to deny any urgency and, as the world looks to the US for leadership, and we have NO leader, we are doomed.

Frankie said...

@Stilton: Dropping a couple of low yield nukes would be the BEST birthday present ever.

@ Judi King: "...,we are doomed."

Yes, when we look at the enormity of the forces arrayed against us, it is daunting, but never forget, with God on our side, we are not defenseless, and they are not invincible!

This I believe with every fiber of my soul. May we all hope on, and fear not.

@ good anon. Thank you for your hope. I also believe that, if God is with us, we will win. But I also believe Armageddon is part of His plan for the world. As things are now, it seems inevitable. We have no leader, and half of us have no will to respond or even a clue that there is any danger from these evil people with an age old agenda.

Be alert HnC community. I read somewhere else that Juarez may be the launching ground - car bombs in Texas. Watch it folks. Stay alert on planes. Screw the assholes who worry about profiling - stay alive. Fight this blood-thirsty vermin.

Saw another article that Biden will "follow ISIS to the gates of hell!" But will he be naked? And will he follow them in? Enquiring minds want to know.

BTW, Doc, you are correct. BAD Bobo the Hobo - RACIST! Me? I despise Obama! He has checked out and Americans are about to die as a result.

@Anonymous #1...This nation UNDOUBTEDLY AND UNASHAMEDLY was due to the hand of God Almighty, who has kept us through very dark and frightening periods of our short history!
I have said many times here and elsewhere that the divine help you are referring to is EXACTLY what it will take to get through this! It got us through a Revolution,a civil war, and 2 world wars in a positive way, and history has shown that any nation that has rejected or ignored Jesus Christ the way some in this country have decided to do have met with tragic endings. He cannot work without faith. As I said yesterday, Obama's time is coming, as is Putin's and all of Islam.

It's going to get very difficult to put a comedic spin on the events beginning to play out! Time for sobriety.

Except.....The Muslims conquered Mecca in year 630, Palestine, Syria & Jerusalem in year 632, Egypt in 640, Spain & Portugal in 711, Sicily in 902, Persia & Turkey in 1071, etc. on into the 21st century. History calls them Ottoman Turks, Moors, Barbary Pirates, etc. whatever, they're all Muslims. Even the worst butcher in history, Tamerlane, a Mongol, was a Muslim. To blame the West for the actions of these monsters is in itself monstrous. It's inherent and age old in them.

John the Econ,
To be more accurate, lamont doesn't "lead from behind"... that would be oxymoronic, since he doesn't "lead" at ALL! What may be MORE apropos is that, as do other "happy" men, lamont "leads WITH his behind"! (going "beep, beep, beep" as he backs up to a "glory-hole".)
Since his boyhood in Indonesia, I don't doubt that lamont has had more terminal-sphincter traffic than a 50's drive-in theater! I'm sure that the SAME Secret Service agent who was standing by while lamont was "off the grid" for 7 hours during Benghazi is also standing guard while he "uses the rear entrance" to a D.C. bath-house! If the truth were exposed by the SS, I'm convinced that 50% of lamont voters would become apoplectic!

@John the Econ- Excellent point about the media meltdown we could expect if Cheney had roared about going "to the gates of hell!"

And actually, you're presented me with a quandry; I was seriously thinking about making Biden's tirade the subject of tomorrow's cartoon, but after reading your comment you may have made my effort redundant.

Then again, it's been a tough week. Maybe we could all stand to laugh (albeit bitterly) at Biden for a little break...

Judi King said...

Biden might actually or accidentally got something right for a change. SCARY!

Anonymous said...

Hey Doc! I found the subject for tomorrow!

Biden is correct. They are chasing ISIS (or ISIL as Hussein prefers to call them) to the gates of hell. But they seem to be confused as to who ISIS is. They apparently are confusing FoxNews for ISIS, natch.
