The Devil You Say

obama, obama jokes, political, cartoon, biden, isis, isil, manage, hope n' change, hope and change, stilton jarlsberg, conservative

It's entirely understandable if the bloodthirsty leaders of ISIS (and everyone else) are a little confused about the messaging coming out of Washington these days.

In a speech on Wednesday, a mistakenly unmedicated Joe Biden started foaming at the mouth while talking about ISIS, eventually roaring that we will "follow them to the gates of HELL!" After which we presume that Uncle Joe will step out on Hell's balcony and fire his shotgun into the air to scare the terrorists away.

Joe's boss, on the other hand, is taking a decidedly more moderate tone. When speaking about the ongoing terror crisis while overseas, B. Hussein initially said that he planned to "degrade and destroy" ISIS, but then quickly backpedaled and said "if we are joined by the international community, we can continue to shrink ISIL's sphere of influence, its effectiveness, its financing, its military capabilities, to the point where it's a manageable problem."

The main problem we see in this strategy is that Obama hasn't demonstrated any management skills whatsoever since taking office.  Is he doing a good job of "managing" unemployment? The VA health system? Obamacare? The IRS? Race relations? Border security? And what about all of those "shovel ready jobs" he claimed he could manage?

Seriously, this guy couldn't manage the graveyard shift at a Whataburger, let alone the deadliest terrorist organization on Earth.

From the president's statements, it's clear that he's actually looking for a way to co-exist with the murdering hordes of ISIS. Perhaps because, unlike blustering Joe Biden, Obama doesn't want to stage a battle at the gates of Hell - he just wants to open them.

I see all the various talking heads on tv and hear the ones on radio. All of them flail about seeking some kind of context where our kenyan's actions make some kind of sense. They all fail.

There is only one context that explains ALL of the destruction being wrought on what was once our great nation.

Barack Hussein Obama is a deciever. A muslim intent on destroying the enemies of islam while furthering the power and reach of the muslim world.

Put into that context everything he does makes sense.

Yes, when you're floating in the Atlantic while grasping the Titanic's life-preserver ring and you've a box of harpoons floating next to you, the best way to deal with the ever-tightening circle of blue-tip sharks is to "manage" them with imprecations to not make you their main course on their menu. Brilliant move! Tactics worthy of Ceasar, himself. Welp, in his defense, his only "work" experience is as a "community organizer", so it's understandable that that's apparently, if not evidently his only fallback strategy. Hey, it's worked pretty well so far...

Geoff King said...

To be fair, since Øbama has been funding and arming ISIS all along, I think he is doing a fantastic job of managing them. Drawing from his vast experience as a Community Organizer, I am convinced that he will show strong leadership qualities by setting up a committee to debate the advisability of forming a panel to consider a solution to the problem. Who knows, he may even go as far as sending several battalions of AGCs (Armored Golf Carts) over there to deal with the situation.

Well, we're already at the gates of hell, so checkmark beside that one . . .

Unca Joe's rabble rousing comments might be more meaningful if our troops could get outside of the gates of the compounds they are restricted to. I feel I should pass on some of my favorite General, 'Mad Dog' Mattis's quotes:

“You cannot allow any of your people (politicians) to avoid the brutal facts. If they start living in a dream world, it’s going to be bad.”

“...there are some assholes in the world that just need to be shot.”

“Find the enemy that wants to end this experiment (in American democracy) and kill every one of them until they’re so sick of the killing that they leave us and our freedoms intact.”

and, (Obama take note), most importantly - :

“No war is over until the enemy says it’s over. We may think it over, we may declare it over, but in fact, the enemy gets a vote.”

He is managing to be true to his own Muslim self quite well, thank you very much.

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of The Audacity of Hope.

At last......some people are calling the traitor in chief a muslim. {no one in the media.} All of his actions point to that and have all along. He can ah um his way through his phony stance all he wants, but actions speak louder than words. Gates of hell indeed!

American Cowboy said...

There is one thing I have learned living, growing up, and working through the best part of six decades, and that is that there is in reality no such thing as a "manageable problem".

It is either a problem, or it isn't. Once managed
it is no longer a problem. In the case of the ISIS situation political leaders can spout all the rhetoric they want, but ISIS will ALWAYS be a problem until managed. And the only management they are deserving of IMO is elimination entirely, by whatever means possible.

Geoff King said...

Perhaps His 'Øliness does have a strategy to deal with ISIS after all. Instead of incurring the huge expense of transporting our troops to the Middle East to combat the exponentially increasing threat, He is simply waiting for them to strike us here to give us the home court advantage. Otherwise, how could something like this be possible?:

We discussed the issue of his "religion" here on HnC in Let Us Spray on August 11, 2011.

I stand by what I said then:
... he is not a muslim; he is not a Christian. He believes himself to be worthy of worship, and is therefore his own god. He has no time for the “opiate of the masses” (religion). He will profess any belief that achieves his end of getting the listener to acknowledge his supreme intellect and divine appointments, but he is not troubled with thoughts of morality. Right and wrong are relative.

Words he uses do not mean what he thinks they mean: fair (theft); balanced (my way or the highway); compromise (see balanced); revenue (tax); invest (spend); choice (murder); help (enslave). The list is almost endless. But he does not care, because he is divine, so he is right because of his divinity, regardless of what any of the little people (everyone else) may believe.

Judi King said...

I didn't know about Hope n' Change in 2011 but thanks, Mr. Baker, for posting that day. I agree with most of the comments but still say he's a muslim. Maybe not outwardly practicing but definitely in heart. I also agree that he is narcissistic enough to think he is a god. But anyone who falls for that is already at the gates of hell.

How about Kerry saying it's our duty as Christians to save the Muslims from Climate Change?

Anonymous said...

Muslim? No. Christian? No. Jewish? Hell no. Self worshiper? Yes. Does he think he's a god? Nope, but he does think people should give him all the honor and privelege of the Office of President of the United States, WITHOUT having done even one tiny thing to earn that respect. As a matter of fact, he demands it and throws a hissy fit when it is not feely given. Hence the hatred for Fox News.

The man child is sucking up to the radical Muslims only because his father was one, and he was raised as one. I believe he fears the radical Muslims as well, and rightfully so. Does anybody have a guess what would transpire if a gang of thugs like ISIS get their hands on O'Liar? He wouldn't last a minute past the denial of ransom.

As for Uncle Joe's "Gates of Hell" comments? I have no doubt Joe and BO will be joining ISIS there.

Geoff King said...

OMG! I missed that one. Forgetting for the moment that climate change is a total fraud when not referring to normal seasonal or cyclical changes, Skull and Bones Kerry - who likes to lay naked in a coffin while being pissed on - is no more a Christian than was Pontius Pilate. Not to mention that the Bible says no such thing. For others who missed his attempt to smother his bullshit in ketchup:

Could the morons in this administration be more clueless?????!!!!!

John the Econ said...

As I rhetorically asked yesterday, can anyone imagine Dick Cheney speaking like that, or how the media would have gone nuts if he actually had? It's just another example of the soft bigotry of low expectations everyone has with this administration. The media, far left, and especially our enemies don't take Biden seriously, where as they did take Cheney very seriously. That is one of our biggest problems; Nobody, especially our enemies take Obama and Biden the least bit seriously.

As for Obama's "true religion", I also addressed that in 2011:

Obama is a Marxist, and anyone who has read the Communist Manifesto knows that there is no room in Marxism for any religion other than a unyielding devotion to the state. That should settle once and for all the issue of "what religion is Obama".

If Obama shows fealty to Islam, it's only because it's politically expedient for him to do so. It's certainly not because of any religious affiliation. Quite frankly, I don't think he's capable of such.

The problem at it's core: Obama and his far-left ilk still subscribe to the "If we'd just disarm ourselves as an act of goodwill, then everyone could just sit down and talk and sing in unison, and we would avoid war" school of thought. This is frequently referred to as "21st-Century Thinking", as opposed to Putin, who is an example of primitive "19th Century Thinking".

The problem is that 19th Century Thinkers will always be able to kick the ass of 21st Century Thinkers.

Understanding this, one can only conclude that the 21st century thinkers wish to conduct suicide, which is in itself a sign of mental illness.

Judi King said...

I agree that BO is a Marxist but on what planet is it politically expedient
to favor islam?

John the Econ said...

Well @Judi King, it would unfortunately be this one. The modern post-modernist stands up to absolutely nobody they honestly think might actually hurt them. They'll do anything to avoid an actual fight, even if doing so only pushes the actual fight off into some hazy future. Obama and his ilk honestly still believe that by "getting along", they can actually get along.

Of course, just look at Europe to see how well that's actually working out.

PRY said...

We are at that point in time of a situation that looks very dark because we cannot see which way it will go. Things are bound to get better, but will more than likely go very south before that happens.

Also, if you believe in prayer, please pray for all the servicemen and women who will be sent to destroy this barbarous horde in a region that many have ALREADY paid for with their lives. Remember their families also. I pray that no one dies in this second time around!

Have a good time, Mr. Obama, you will personally follow these murderous thugs to the gates of hell and beyond for eternity.

Judi King said...

Well, just because Europe finds it "expedient" to get along with radicals, I see no reason why we should. Europe has been morally bankrupt for decades. People are still willing to give their lives to oppose these monsters and pretending that "getting along "is a solution is pretty naive. The only solution is annihilation. Their agenda has been world domination for 1400 years. It's never changed and they have to be stopped.

Anonymous said...

Judi - The way you talk. Now I am getting turned on. Marry me?

John the Econ said...

@Judi King, you're right that Europe is "morally bankrupt". That's largely thanks to welfare, largely paid for by us for paying for most of their defense for the last several generations. They've lost the confidence, will and ability to stand up for themselves.

The irony is that the leftist intelligentsia which groomed Obama actually considers a surrendering Europa as morally superior to the "cowboy capitalists" of America, and wish to take us down the same suicidal path.

Western Europe is already little more than a museum to the greatness of western civilization. In little more than a generation, it won't even be that.

John the Econ said...

Want to see European surrender in practice instead of just theory?

Has it occured to anyone else that, had the West not trained and armed the Muslim extremists; and had we not given them billions of dollars for that black liquid under their feet, they would still be stone-age nomadic camel herders, and none of us would even be able to find the Middle East on a map?

Judi King said...

They were conquering the whole Mediterranean area 1400 years ago using horses and swords. Hardly WMD and Western money. Go figure!!!

Geoff King said...

And the Christian Catholic Church attempted the very same thing during the Crusades around 920 years ago. What is your point?

Judi King said...

The crusades were started to re-capture Jerusalem which the muslims had conquered. There would have been no crusades if there were no muslim conquests. Christians in the Middle East, at that time, begged the Pope for help. Get the facts.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Readers- Wow, great comments and conversations going on here!

To jump in on just one of the threads, I'll repeat my frequently stated belief that Obama has no religious faith (because he can't conceive of a greater power than himself), but has greater respect and fondness for Islam than any other religion.

I believe that Obama has disdain for religion in general, but likes the fact that it unifies groups of people which (in his view) makes them easier to manipulate. Unquestionably, this is why he went to the Rev Jeremiah Wright's church in Chicago to boost his political career. He certainly wasn't there to learn about humility or service to his fellow man.

Regarding Geoff King's observation that the West has done a lot to empower these radicals over the years through oil purchases and questionable alliances, I'm reminded of one of my favorite movies: "Forbidden Planet."

In a climactic moment, a scientist realizes that a monster on a killing spree is actually the personification of his own inner demons - and the alien machines which the scientist reactivated are supplying the monster with as much power as it needs to finish the job.

That's a pretty tidy metaphor for what we've done by sending untold billions (and weapons) to those who wish us dead. We've fed, and continue to feed, the very monster that wants to destroy us.

I love you guys! You are both patriots and it gives me such hope to see so many good Americans impassioned to defeat a horrible threat to decent people everywhere! Back in my Dad's time, young people stood in line to go to war against the Nazis and Japanese! We Americans have ALWAYS risen to the occasion and I have no doubt right will prevail as it always has for our great nation, in spite of who or what might want to get in our way!

I'm sure this Islamic threat (Obama included) caught all of us a little off-guard but now we're doing our homework and we're pulling together...at least those of us who are actually paying attention! God will get us through this like He always does!

Thank you all here so much for your passion! That's what it is going to take, and that's what Obama totally lacks!
